Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement (ADKAR) on employees performance at KPw Bank Indonesia Malang. This type of research is quantitative research using purposive sampling, as many as 42 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and distributing questionnaires. Data analysis used classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, F test, and T test using SPSS 23 software for windows. The results showed that the Employee Change Program at Kpw Bank Indonesia Malang included BI Religion, BI Achievement, BI Innovation, BI Digital and the influence of change management on the variables of Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement (ADKAR) each have a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees of KPw Bank Indonesia Malang.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of compensation and work environment on employee loyalty at PT XYZ. The type of research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. Respondents used in this research as many as 54 people using the entire population. The data technique uses a questionnaire which is measured by a Likert scale. Data analysis in this reasearch used multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS software version 20. In this research, the hypothesis was tested using the t test. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that the variables of compensation and work environment have a partial effect on employee loyalty. In addition, the results of the study show that compensation and work environment have a simultaneous effect on employee loyalty of PT XYZ.

Abstract

The success of an organization to achieve its objectives and targets is determined by the performance of its human resource. This also applies to governmental organizations. However, there are problems in their performance, so employee performance management is expected to be able to enhance employees’ quality and professionalism. The objective of this research is to describe the external and internal environments of the Center for the Development and Empowerment of Educators and Education Personnel in Civil and Social Sciences (PPPPTK PKn and IPS) in Batu and to identify strategies to improve its employees’ performance. The data of this descriptive qualitative case study was harvested from observations, interviews, and documentations and was processed using SWOT analysis. This study finds that the performance of the agency’s employees has not been optimal due to poor disciplinary enforcement, performance assessment system, and career development system. The strategies to improve them are using online-based information technology, creating good workplace environment that support organizational performance, enhancing the effectiveness of organization’s internal communication.

Abstract

In order to help companies reaching success, the employees need to work more, in this case by increasing Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB); the factors of which are workplace environment and work motivation. The objective of this research is to identify the effects of workplace environment and work motivation on the organizational citizenship behavior of the employees of the Directorate of Finance and Risk Management of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. branch office of Jakarta. The samples of this explanatory research are 108 employees, selected using probability sampling method and simple random sampling technique. The data was harvested from questionnaires, that had been assessed using validity and reliability tests, followed by the classical assumption test. The results of the multiple linear regression performed in SPSS version 20 indicate that workplace environment and work motivation partially have positive effects on organizational citizenship behavior. This fact indicates that any increase in workplace environment and work motivation will also be followed by an increase in the organizational citizenship behavior of employees of the Directorate of Finance and Risk Management of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. branch office of Jakarta.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of job stress and work discipline on the performance of BPS employees in Malang City. This explanatory research explains the causal relationships between variables through hypothesis testing. Using saturated sampling, all 31 employees of BPS of Malang City were selected as the respondents. The primary research data was harvested from Likert-scaled questionnaires, and the secondary was collected from books, past studies, online articles, official website, and documents related to the profile of the organization. This study employs multiple linear regression analysis, research instrument test, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis indicate that the job stress among the employees of BPS of Malang City is low and that their work discipline is high. This research also finds that job stress has no significant effect on the employee performance and that work discipline significantly affects the employee performance. Furthermore, job stress and work discipline simultaneously have significant effect on the employee performance.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to explain the effects of internship experience, soft skills, and work interest on the work readiness of the students of Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Brawijaya. Using probability sampling method and simple random sampling technique, 220 people were selected as the respondents. The data of this explanatory research was harvested from Likert-scaled questionnaires and was analyzed in SPSS version 25. This study finds that (1) internship experience positively and significantly influences the students’ work readiness, (2) that soft skills positively and significantly affect the students’ work readiness, and (3) that work interest positively and significantly impacts the students’ work readiness. Furthermore, it was found that, based on the coefficient of determination values, internship experience, soft skills, and work interest influence 58.7% of the work readiness of the students of Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

This research aims to acquire a general description about organizational culture and transactional leadership in Mr. Suwadi’s family business, which engages in food and beverage through its two sub-business: restaurant and meat processing. The data of this qualitative descriptive research was harvested from observations, interviews, and documentation and was analyzed  in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study finds that the organizational culture of the business in all levels is good. In the artifacts level, workplace rules, daily work hours, and equipment and tool usage procedures are available. Regarding the espoused values, employees are aware to give their best performance and to uphold trust. Those values were achieved from the provision of motivating talks, decent facilities, awarding bonuses, and treating them as parts of the family. In terms of assumptions and beliefs, the employees were encouraged to healthily compete with each other, to stay creative and innovative, and to maintain product and service quality. These are attained by giving the employees their rights (salary and bonus) and by providing them with space for discussion to express their ideas. Further, the transactional leadership style  in Mr. Suwadi’s family business applies contingent award, active management by exception, and passive management by exception. The theoretical and practical implications of this research are useful for both the manager and the owner of Mr. Suwadi’s family business.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran umum budaya organisasi dan kepemimpi-nan transaksional pada bisnis keluarga milik Bapak Suwadi yang bergerak pada bidang ma-kanan dan minuman, dengan 2 sub-bisnis yaitu rumah makan dan pengolahan daging. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik dalam menganalisis data meliputi tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi baik pada setiap ting-katannya. Hal itu dapat dilihat pada tingkat artifacts terdapat peraturan kerja dengan jam ker-ja tiap harinya dan prosedur pemakaian peralatan dan perlengkapan di tempat kerja. Di ting-kat espoused values terdapat kesadaran karyaawan memberikan kinerja terbaiknya dan kesadaran mejunjung kepercayaan, dengan memberikan motivasi, memberikan fasilitas yang layak, memberikan bonus, serta menganggap karyawan sebagai bagian dari keluarga sendiri. Pada tingkat assumptions and beliefs terdapat menanamkan bersaing sehat antar karyawan serta mendorong untuk tetap kreatif dan inovatif, karyawan didorong untuk selalu menjaga mutu dan kualitas, memberikan haknya (gaji dan bonus), serta menyediakan ruang berdiskusi untuk mengemukakan pendapatnya. Sedangkan gaya kepemimpinan transaksional pada family business milik Bapak Suwadi menerapkan contingent reward, active management by exception, passive management by exception. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian secara teoritis, implikasi prak-tis juga dapat bermanfaat bagi pihak pemilik maupun manajer pada bisnis keluarga milik Bapak Suwadi.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of locus of control and job stress on the turnover intention of employees at PT Indolakto Pandaan. This quantitative explanatory research corroborates the relationship and the effects of certain variables on others through hypothesis testing. From the population of 202 employees of the company, 134 were selected as the respondents through a simple random sampling technique; they were employees working at the company. The research data was harvested via Likert-scaled questionnaires and was analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS version 26. The results of the testing on the three hypotheses conclude that locus of control and job stress simultaneously have significant effects on the turnover intention of employees of PT Indolakto Pandaan, that locus of control partially has a significant negative influence on the turnover intention of employees of PT Indolakto Pandaan, and that job stress partially has a significant and positive impact on the turnover intention of employees of PT Indolakto Pandaan. These findings can be used by the company to develop a more effective and efficient strategy to reduce employee turnover intention.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel dari locus of control dan stres kerja terhadap turnover intention pegawai PT Indolakto Pandaan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah explanatory research dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang menjelaskan hubungan dan pengaruh antara satu variabel dengan variabel lainnya melalui pengajuan hipotesis. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 134 responden yang diambil dari populasi karyawan dari pegawai PT Indolakto Pandaan sejumlah 202 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert. Karakteristik sampel yang dipilih yakni pegawai yang sedang bekerja di PT Indolakto Pandaan. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan software SPSS versi 26. Hasil pengujian terhadap ketiga hipotesis yang ada dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa locus of control dan stres kerja berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap turnover intention pegawai PT Indolakto Pandaan, locus of control berpengaruh negatif signifikan secara parsial terhadap turnover intention pegawai PT Indolakto Pandaan, sedangkan stres kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara parsial terhadap turnover intention PT Indolakto Pandaan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan oleh PT Indolakto Pandaan dalam menyusun strategi yang lebih efektif dan efisien untuk menurunkan tingkat turnover intention karyawan.

Abstract

Organisational development is faced with a very dynamic industrial environment such as globalization, rapid increase and development of market and customer needs and demands, digitalisation in every aspect and unexpected events that greatly impact the company. One of the abilities that must be possessed by business actors is entrepreneurial leadership. For the problems faced, some of the solutions offered by the Service Team include changing the mindset of business actors by providing insight or understanding of entrepreneurial values so as to build awareness of the importance of marketing aspects in developing a business. The implementation method is carried out through training activities for small and medium enterprises in Malang City. Entrepreneurial Leadership Training is a program specifically designed to guide and equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and mentality needed to become successful and innovative leaders in the business world. Based on the data obtained from the questionnaire, it shows that the training organisers provide a valuable platform to explore participants' views, thoughts and experiences related to the training they have attended. Through group discussions, participants share knowledge with conveys information, understanding, or experience they have to other people or other groups with the aim of providing benefits and expanding mutual understanding. Future research is expected to include a larger sample to get a broader picture. In addition, it can compare the results of various trainings in order to provide insight into the most effective way to improve the skills of small and medium business actors.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the largest industries that create jobs and grow the community's economy. Facing increasingly fierce competition, improving business performance is one way that tourism industry players can do. Entrepreneurial leadership behavior, with a combination of flexibility, the ability to increase creativity, and the ability to deal with vulnerable market situations to maintain an organization’s competitive advantage, is one of the essential factors that determine the level of business performance of a company. This study analyzed a sample of 215 individual tourist attraction leaders in East Java Province using SEM-PLS. The results showed that entrepreneurial leadership affects tourism business performance, and entrepreneurial orientation shows the same. Entrepreneurial Orientation can also act as a mediating variable in this study, but Government Support offers results that do not moderate the effect of entrepreneurial leadership on tourism business performance. This research can be the basis for further study and be a concern for business people in increasing Entrepreneurial Leadership to improve their business.
