Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah merubah pola belajar siswa di seluruh dunia yang sebelumnya dilakukan secara tatap muka dan sekarang telah beralih menuju pembelajaran daring. Namun yang menjadi permasalahan adalah tidak semua sekolah siap untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran daring dalam waktu yang cukup lama. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk melatih para peserta dalam: (1) menggunakan platform google classroom; (2) menggunakan platform zoom cloud meetings; dan (3) menggunakan web tool quizizz. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan menggunakan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan. Subjek kegiatan atau perserta pelatihan berjumlah 50 orang guru. Waktu kegiatan dilaksanakan selama dua hari yakin tanggal 20 hingga 21 Maret 2020 yang diselenggarakan di SMK Dharma Bahari Surabaya. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah secara berurutan dari 50 orang guru sebanyak 34%, 50%, dan 8% peserta masuk kategori “sangat baik”, “baik” dan “cukup” dalam mengoperasikan google classroom, sedangkan 8% lainnya masuk dalam kategori “kurang”. Selanjutnya, secara berurutan sebanyak 40%, 52%, dan 2% peserta masuk kategori “sangat baik”, “baik” dan “cukup” dalam mengoperasikan zoom cloud meetings, sedangkan 6% lainnya masuk dalam kategori “kurang”. Kemudian, secara berurutan sebanyak 30%, 56%, dan 10% peserta masuk kategori “sangat baik”, “baik” dan “cukup” dalam mengoperasikan web tool quizizz, sedangkan 4% lainnya masuk dalam kategori “kurang”.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Interaktif di model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada Program Studi Teknik Sepeda Motor (TSM) terhadap pencapaian akademik siswa di SMKN 2 Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan media pembelajaran interaktif efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TSM 1. Penerapan model ini mendorong partisipasi siswa secara aktif dalam memahami konsep, menerapkan pengetahuan, dan mengembangkan keterampilan praktis. Dengan demikian, tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat secara signifikan. Selain itu, kombinasi ini menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang dinamis dan memotivasi, karena siswa diberikan gambaran konsep abstrak melalui pengalaman praktis dan visual. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan metode pembelajaran yang efektif, memperkaya praktik pendidikan di SMKN 2 Surabaya, dan memberikan wawasan bagi peneliti dan praktisi pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran di masa mendatang

Abstract

Penelitian ini meneliti pengaruh penggunaan mind mapping dalam model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap kompetensi abad ke-21 siswa serta kreativitas mereka. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre-eksperimen, menggunakan satu kelompok pretest-posttest design. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik tes dengan sampel penelitian sejumlah 27 siswa. Hasil analisis menggunakan perangkat lunak statistik seperti SPSS 25 menunjukkan bahwa nilai uji paired sample t-test menghasilkan nilai two-tailed sebesar 0,000. Berdasarkan hasil ini,. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan mind mapping dalam model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap kompetensi abad ke-21 siswa serta kreativitas mereka.Penjelasan tambahan dapat diberikan terkait dengan faktor-faktor yang mungkin memengaruhi hasil penelitian. Misalnya, mind mapping memungkinkan siswa untuk mengorganisir informasi secara visual dan terstruktur, yang dapat memudahkan pemahaman dan retensi materi. Selain itu, penggunaan warna cerah dalam mind mapping dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran, memperkuat keterkaitan emosional dengan materi, dan memfasilitasi proses kreatif mereka. Namun demikian, perlu dicatat bahwa hasil penelitian ini mungkin dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor lainnya seperti latar belakang siswa, pengalaman sebelumnya, atau faktor-faktor lingkungan dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lanjutan atau pengulangan studi dengan metode yang lebih kompleks dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang dampak penggunaan mind mapping dalam konteks pembelajaran yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Abstract: The production of tempeh in Indonesia, particularly in SMEs located at Jalan Raya Sepande No.45 Sidoarjo, still faces challenges in the manual fermentation process, especially during unstable weather conditions. Suboptimal fermentation can lead to a decline in production quality. This community service activity aims to improve the quality and capacity of tempeh production through technological innovation. The method used is a participatory approach involving training, mentoring, and discussions between the proposing team and partners. The resulting solution includes the application of appropriate technology, such as a fermentation room equipped with temperature and humidity control, as well as improvements in packaging and digital marketing. The results of this activity show an increase in production quality and quantity, income, and the human resource capacity of the partners. The conclusion of this activity is that the participatory approach and technological innovation can significantly enhance production efficiency and partner welfare.

Abstract

One of the challenges faced by micro-businesses like Kopi Combre in the village of Sumberdem, Wonosari District, when they want to use packaging for their products is selecting packaging that is unique and appealing to consumers. The primary goal of this community engagement project is to provide guidance in designing packaging structures and labels suitable for the micro-scale industry, particularly for Kopi Combre. The method involves community engagement and incorporates literature studies and information analysis. This study covers aspects such as coffee product attributes, packaging structure design, and labels. The findings indicate that the most suitable packaging type for the micro-scale industry is the Pouch packaging, while the packaging and label design will feature dark colors and include information about the coffee product and a unique brand.

Abstract

Teaching Factory (TEFA) is a production-based learning model that aims to align student skills with industry needs. This study analyzes the readiness and implementation of TEFA in the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program at Surabaya State University to improve 21st-century skills in the digital era. Using a simple random sampling method with 44 respondents, the data were analyzed using Rasch modeling because of its accurate measurement in identifying the level of response suitability. The results show that the educational aspect of TEFA received a very positive response, reflecting the contribution of this program in supporting the development of 21st-century competencies, including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, character, and civic engagement. Students are trained to think critically and solve real problems so that they are ready to face industry challenges. However, the marketing aspect needs to be improved so that information about TEFA is better known and this program gets more comprehensive support from the community. With a more effective promotion strategy, opportunities for collaboration with external parties can increase, and more students can be involved, strengthening the collaboration and communication aspects of 21st-century competencies. Overall, TEFA not only helps students master technical skills but also strengthens 21st-century competencies that are relevant and applicable in the professional world

Abstract

Drill bit failure in the drilling process often occurs due to exposure to mechanical, thermal, and chemical loads during operation. Nachi HSS drill bits, as critical components in the manufacturing industry, are prone to sudden wear and breakage due to dynamic processes involving material fragmentation, friction, and increased local temperatures. This study analyses the root cause of Nachi HSS drill bit failure through fracture investigation, chemical composition, and microstructure. The analysis methods include macroscopic testing to identify fracture patterns, optical microscopy to evaluate surface deformation, and X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) testing to verify material composition. The results showed that the fault was a brittle fracture due to a mismatch in chemical composition: molybdenum (Mo) levels were not detected. At the same time, chromium (Cr) and vanadium (V) only reached 3.85% and 0.95%, 0.45% lower than factory standards. This deficiency reduces resistance to thermomechanical loads, triggering stress concentration and rapid crack propagation during the drilling of ST37 steel material at a speed of 1,800 RPM. These findings emphasize the importance of quality control of material composition and optimization of operating parameters to prevent premature failure.
