Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran CPS dan CTL kelas XI SMA Cerdas Murni Tembung.. Analisis data dilakukan dengan dengan analisis varians (ANAVA). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran CPS dan CTL adalah 10,845> 3,917; 2) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran CPS dan CTL adalah 9,576< 3,917; 3) Kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran CPS dan CTL adalah 0,232< 3,911; 4) Interaksi antara model pembelajaran CPS dan CTL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis adalah 2,0632< 3,919. Penelitian ini memiliki perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran CPS dan CTL serta kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diajar melalui model CPS dan CTL, tetapi tidak memiliki perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah matematis yang diajar melalui model pembelajaran CPS dan CTL. Dan tidak adanya interaksi antara model pembelajaran CPS dan CTL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah matematis.   ABSTRACK                      This study aims to determine the differences in creative thinking skills and mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are taught through the CPS and CTL learning models for class XI SMA Cerdas Murni Tembung. Data analysis was carried out using analysis of variance (ANAVA). The results of this study indicate that: 1) The ability to think creatively taught through the CPS and CTL learning models is 10.845> 3.917; 2) The mathematical problem solving ability of students who are taught through the CPS and CTL learning models is 9.576 < 3.917; 3) The ability to think creatively and solve mathematical problems of students who are taught through the CPS and CTL learning models is 0.232 < 3.911; 4) The interaction between CPS and CTL learning models on creative thinking skills and mathematical problem solving abilities is 2.0632 < 3.919. This study has a difference between creative thinking skills taught through CPS and CTL learning models and problem solving skills taught through CPS and CTL models, but there is no difference between creative thinking skills and mathematical problem solving taught through CPS and CTL learning models. And there is no interaction between CPS and CTL learning models on creative thinking skills and mathematical problem solving.

Abstract

Learning mathematics in the classroom often makes students bored and tired due to less interesting learning strategies. This study was conducted to minimize these difficulties by using ethnomathematics. Ethnomathematics is a discipline that explores and interprets mathematics within the framework of a cultural context. This study aims to explore the elements of ethnomathematics and find out the symbolic meaning contained in the Karo Siwaluh Jabu traditional house, Karo Regency. This type of research is exploratory research. The data obtained are in the form of descriptive qualitative data with an ethnographic approach, the data sources in this study are primary data obtained directly from the source and secondary data obtained from writings, documents and information that have been previously available and are relevant. Data collection techniques are obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies related to the Karo Siwaluh Jabu traditional house, Karo Regency. This research was conducted directly at the Karo Siwaluh Jabu traditional house in December 2024 with the results of this study showing that: 1). The mathematical concepts contained in the traditional Karo Siwaluh Jabu house of Karo Regency include: Two-dimensional geometry, namely triangle, square, rectangle, rhombus, trapezoid, circle, hexagon. Three-dimensional geometry, namely cube. The concept of area of flat shapes, volume of spatial shapes, and symmetry 2). The symbolic meaning contained in the traditional Karo Siwaluh Jabu house of Karo Regency contains elements of life that symbolize unity and harmony. 3). The value of mathematical discipline contained in the treatment of measurements, placement of parts of the house, cultural values contained in the construction of the traditional Karo Siwaluh Jabu house, and aesthetic values can be seen in the ornaments and decorative motifs found on the walls of the house.

Abstract

Siswa cenderung tidak dinamis dalam sistem pembelajaran matematika, terlebih matematika menjadi seperti hal yang sangat menakutkan dikarenakan pandangan awal dari dalam diri siswa sendiri yang menganggap bahwa matematika adalah hal yang sangat sulit dan pelajaran yang sangat membosankan Metodologi Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA sebanyak 105 siswa. sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas XI MIPA 1A sebanyak 17 siswa dan XI MIPA 2A sebanyak 17 siswa. instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah berbentuk tes uraian. hasil temuan ini menunjukan bahwa Terdapat Perbedaan Hasil Belajar Siswa yang Diajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran talking stick dan Discovery Learning pada Materi Integral di Kelas XI SMAN 1 Batangtoru. Hasil pengujian uji-t diperoleh thitung > ttabel yakni thitung sebesar 3,88 dan ttabel = 2,14 pada taraf α=0,05 yaitu 3,88 > 2,14 arti hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima.  ABSTRACT Students tend not to be dynamic in the mathematics learning system, especially mathematics becomes something very scary because of the initial view from within the students themselves who consider mathematics to be very difficult and a very boring lesson. Methodology This study uses a quantitative research method. The population of the study was all students of class XI MIPA as many as 105 students. The sample of this study was class XI MIPA 1A as many as 17 students and XI MIPA 2A as many as 17 students. The research instrument used was in the form of a descriptive test. The findings show that there are differences in student learning outcomes taught with the talking stick and Discovery Learning learning models on integral material in class XI SMAN 1 Batangtoru. The results of the t-test obtained t-count > t-table, namely t-count of 3.88 and t-table = 2.14 at the α = 0.05 level, namely 3.88 > 2.14, meaning the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' mathematical reasoning and problem solving abilities using Superitem and Problem Based Learning models in the subject of Relations and Functions in class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Seruway. This research methodology uses quantitative research with the type of research experimental research. Data collection was carried out using techniques: essay tests, interviews and observations. The population in this study were all students of SMP Negeri 5 Seruway in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, a total of 235 students. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII-1 and VIII-3 of SMP Negeri 5 Seruway, each class consisting of 28 students. Hypothesis testing using Variance Analysis. The findings of this study are: 1) There is an influence on the reasoning abilities and mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are taught with the Superitem learning model on Relations and Functions Material for Class VIII SMPN 5 Seruway; 2) There is an influence on students' reasoning abilities and mathematical problem solving abilities taught using the Problem Based Learning model on Relations and Functions for Class VIII SMPN 5 Seruway; 3) There is an influence of the reasoning abilities and mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are taught with the Superitem and Problem Based Learning models on Relations and Functions Materials for Grade VIII SMPN 5 Seruway.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan kemampuan kognitif yang terjadi secara tidak langsung dalam memperoleh pemahaman terhadap suatu konsep dan teori. Meskipun demikian, pemahaman konsep matematika siswa masih sederhana. Tujuan studi ini ialah untuk menguji bagaimana siswa kelas X di MAPN 4 Medan berhasil memahami konsep matematika setelah berpartisipasi dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis pemetaan pikiran. Para peneliti dalam studi kuantitatif ini mempergunakan desain “Non-Equivalent Control Group”, pendekatan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Pengambilan cluster random sampling dipergunakan sebagai strategi pengambilan sampel penelitian. Peneliti membagikan pretest dan posttest sebagai sarana pengumpulan data. Kelompok kontrol melihat peningkatan rata-rata dalam pemahaman konseptual hanya 0,183 poin, sedangkan kelompok eksperimen melihat peningkatan rata-rata 0,572 poin, menempatkan mereka dalam kategori buruk dalam penelitian ini. Temuan ini dapat dikonfirmasi dengan melihat temuan pengujian hipotesis, dengan memperlihatkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 <0,05. Jadi, H0 tidak diterima dan Hα diterima, memperlihatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas X MAPN 4 Medan dipengaruhi oleh model cooperative learning berbasis Mind Mapping.

Abstract

Limited student understanding of contextual mathematical concepts remains a key issue in learning. This study aims to identify and analyze mathematical concepts in the preparation of traditional foods Alame and Lemang from Padang Lawas using an ethnomathematics approach. A qualitative descriptive-exploratory method was employed, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña and validated through triangulation and member checking. The results indicate that Lemang preparation involves spatial geometry, geometric transformations, and heat distribution, while Alame applies ratios and proportions of ingredients, traditional measurement, and time and temperature estimation. Both techniques reflect principles of algorithm, order, and efficiency. These findings confirm that traditional culinary practices can serve as contextual mathematics learning media while contributing to the preservation of local culture.

Abstract

This study aims to determine ethnomathematics of the roof and ornaments as well as the philosophical meaning contained in the Karo Garista Traditional House in North Sumatra. The research method used in this study is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that there are mathematical concepts in the Karo Garista traditional house, namely, 1) On the roof of the house there are concepts of flat shapes, namely trapezoids and triangles 2) In the ornaments of the house there are concepts of geometric shapes and transformations, namely translation, reflection, rhombus and circle 3) In the philosophical meaning there are mathematical concepts, namely sets, ratios and folding symmetry through spatial layout, number of kitchens, and ornamental patterns full of symbolic meaning. This study provides empirical evidence in cultural preservation, development of culture-based mathematics learning, and enrich ethnomathematics studies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media game based learning berburu ubur-ubur terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas VII MTs Babul Ulum Medan. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan dengan berbantuan permainan dalam proses belajar matematika terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode eskperimen semu dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi meliputi seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Babul Ulum Medan dan sampel dipilih menggunakan simple random sampling yaitu kelas VII-A yang diajar dengan menggunakan game based learning berburu ubur-ubur dan VII-B dengan menggunakan pembelajaran biasa. Data penelitian menggunakan Tes Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis (TKPKM) yang berbentuk uraian sebanyak 5 butir valid dengan angka reliabilitas (kategori cukup baik). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis pada siswa yang diajar menggunakan game based learning berburu ubur-ubur lebih baik dari pada siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran biasa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan game based learning berburu ubur-ubur berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to study the correlation of mathematical philosophy with cultural-based learning models. The method of research used is the method of library research, i.e. conducting studies related to mathematical philosophy, philosophical mathematics learning, culture-based mathematic learning, the connection of mathematically philosopher with ethnomatematics, the relationship of mathematic philosophies with cultural-based learning models. The results of the research have been obtained that the philosofy of maths, the model of learning based on culture, and ethnomathematics have close connections in the context of understanding and teaching of Mathematics. Mathematical philosophy deals with the foundations of mathematical epistemology and ontology, while a culture-based learning model emphasizes the integration of values and cultural contexts in mathematics learning. Ethnomatematics refers to the study of mathematical ways of thinking in a particular culture. By understanding the cultures, traditions, and world views of a particular society, ethnomathematics can help develop more culturally relevant and meaningful learning models. Therefore, the interrelationship between mathematical philosophy, culture-based learning models, and ethnomathematics can create a more holistic and contextual approach to mathematics learning. Abstract

This study aims to determine the human nervous system in the perspective of the Qur'an. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with the results of the research in the form of descriptive data obtained using a literature review approach. The results of this study indicate that the brain as the human nervous system has a complex function in regulating all human activities. The brain has a role to control all bodily functions such as thinking, hearing, seeing, behaving and displaying emotions. In the perspective of the Qur'an, the brain and human nervous system are the doors of tadabbur to see the Oneness of Allah SWT. The human brain and nervous system are facilities for thinking and doing actions in order to gain knowledge that can convey piety to Allah SWT.
