Abstract

Background: One of preventive actions performed on patients in hospital is to prevent the occurrence of anxiety. The trigger of the anxiety is often experienced by patients due to surgery procedure. Patients who could not adjust to their anxiety often have difficulty in pre operations, such as sleep disorders, somatic complaints, digestive disorders, urinary disorders, increased blood pressure, and so forth. Anxiety experienced by patients need to be treated with drugs or with alternative therapies, complementary therapies and energy therapies. Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) is one of Psychological Energy Therapy (EP) which can be used to balance, restore, and enhance the function of the patient's body by stimulating the energy system in the patient's body. Objective: To determine the effect of TAT on the level of preoperative anxiety in patients in Wates Hospital in Kulon Progo of Yogyakarta. Methods: This was a Quasi-Experimental study with a design of pre test and post test nonequivalen control group. The population in this study was all pre-surgery patients. Samples were taken using accidental sampling technique amounted to 32 (16 intervention and 16 control) in accordance with the criteria. The instrument to measure anxiety was Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The results were analyzed by two methods, seeing the impact of the intervention on anxiety with Wilcoxon test and comparing the anxiety levels between groups (intervention and control) using Mann Whitney test. Results: A decrease in anxiety levels occurred after TAT intervention was given (pre-test moderate anxiety by 62% and post-test mild anxiety by 69%). Wilcoxon Signed Rank test results in the intervention group obtained p-value of 0.314. The results of post-test anxiety levels with Mann Whitney in the control and intervention group obtained p-value of 0.037. Conclusions: TAT interventions undertaken could reduce the level of patient preoperative anxiety. In providing a good and comprehensive service to patients who will be undergoing surgery, there is a need to give complementary therapies such as energy psychology therapy like TAT. Abstract

Background: Life expectancy keeps increasing time to time. It will, of course, affect on health conditions, one of which is hypertension disease. Hypertension prevalence is predicted to reach 60% in 2025, which is about 1.56 millions patients with hypertension. This increase is due to people’s low awareness in checking blood pressure early before getting hypertension symptoms. Patients’ lack of knowledge on the signs and symptoms of hypertension results in their ignorance to have regular check-up. Based on the result of health activities of the elderly group in Puskesmas (Community Health Center) Sawangan II, it was found out that the highest number of hypertension patients was in Sawangan. The prevalence of the elderly visitation in 2012 was 573 and about 23% or 101 elder people got hypertension. Objective: To investigate the correlation between knowledge on hypertension and frequency of health service utilization in Sawangan Village, Sawangan, Magelang District Methodology: This study was a non-experimental quantitative study with cross sectional design. Population of this research was elder people in the age of more than 60 years old living in Sawangan, Magelang District who were diagnosed of having hypertension in 2012. Sample of this study was 81 people who lived in 6 villages in Sawangan. Sample was taken using proportioate random sampling. Data were analyzed using Chi-square with α value 0.05. Findings: Fourty-seven people (58%) had good knowledge on hypertension. Fifty-three people (65.4%) had regular health service utilization frequency. Statistically, there was correlation between knowledge on hypertension and frequency of health service utilization in Sawangan Village, Sawangan, Magelang District. The significant value α was 0.000 < α=0.05 Conclusion: There was correlation between knowledge on hypertension and frequency of health service utilization in Sawangan Village, Sawangan, Magelang District. Abstract

Background: Hypothermia contributes 6.3% to neonatal mortality. Interventions to keep newborns warm can reduce neonatal mortality by 18-42%. Early Breastfeeding Initiation (EBI) is a simple intervention that reduces the risk of neonatal death. Objective: The aim of this study to determine the difference of axillary temperature of newborn between improper EBI group and proper EBI group for 24 hours. Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted at Aisyiyah Muntilan Hospital. Sixty-two healthy newborns from healthy mothers born in November 2016 who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects were grouped in improper EBI groups (n=32) and proper EBI groups (n=32). Axila temperature measurements were performed at 1st minute, 30th minute, 60th minute, 6th hour, 12th hour, 24th hour. Results: The result of the hypotermic occurrence is more happened on improper EBI than proper EBI. EBI is able to prevent hypothermia during the first 24 hours of newborn life Conclussions: Infants with proper EBI have a lower risk of hypothermia. Abstract

Background: The practice of interprofessional collaboration is one of the elements that determines the quality of inpatient services. As a result of dysfunctional or non-existent interprofessional collaborative health practices is a medical error, which is the leading cause of death worldwide. Objective: to analyze factors related to interprofessional health collaboration in hospital hospitalization. Methods: Survey research methods, with cross sectional approach. The sample of this study were doctors and health workers who provided care for 58 inpatients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital in June-July 2019 determined by consecutive sampling. Data was collected by filling out the Collaborative Practice Assessment Tool (CPAT) questionnaire. Data analysis with chi-square. Results: the practice of interprofessional collaboration in hospitalization is mostly good (mean index = 3.00). Years of service and age are significantly related to the practice of interprofessional collaboration in hospital hospitalization. Type of profession, gender, education, marital status and income are not related to the practice of interprofessional collaboration in hospital hospitalization. Conclusion: The higher the work period and age of the healthcare professional, the better the practice of interprofessional collaboration in hospital hospitalization.
