Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam pengabdian ini adalah tidak adanya promosi kesehatan terkait Covid-19 dari tenaga kesehatan setempat melalui media elektronik maupun cetak sehingga kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat terkait Covid-19 dan adaptasi kebiasaan baru (New Normal). Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat Masyarakat agar dapat mandiri menjaga hidup sehat. Program unggulan untuk Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilaksankan di  Masyarakat pada tanggal 8 Juli sampai dengan 18 Agustus 2020 adalah “Ruang Kita”, program edukasi kesehatan Covid-19 dan New Normal dengan media video dan poster yang disebarkan di sosial media dan ke masyarakat smasyarakat Masyarakat sebagai metode penyelesaian masalah. Langkah-langkah dalam menyelesaikan masalah yaitu (1) edukasi terkait mencuci tangan yang benar, (2) edukasi jenis-jenis masker, cara penggunaan masker, dan adaptasi kebiasaan baru, dan (3) edukasi cara menjalin komunikasi positif dengan anak. Setelah video dan poster diperlihatkan, sebanyak 83,3% responden tahu cara mencuci tangan yang benar serta nilai rata-rata pengetahuan masyarakat sebesar 84 yang merupakan kategori baik. Abstract:  The problem raised in this service is the absence of health promotion related to Covid-19 from local health workers through electronic and print media so that there is a lack of public knowledge regarding Covid-19 and the adaptation of new habits (New Normal). This Community Service Program aims to help increase public knowledge so that they can independently maintain a healthy life. The flagship program for Community Service carried out in the Community on July 8 to August 18, 2020 is "Our Room", a Covid-19 and New Normal health education program with video media and posters distributed on social media and to the community The community as a solution method problem. The steps in solving the problem are (1) education related to proper hand washing, (2) education on types of masks, how to use masks, and adaptation of new habits, and (3) education on how to establish positive communication with children. After the videos and posters were shown, as many as 83.3% of respondents knew how to wash their hands properly and the average value of community knowledge was 84 which was a good category.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of fear of missing out (FoMO) and narcissism on Instagram addiction. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach. The respondents were 100 students of Faculty of Forestry at X University, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through the Instagram addiction scale, which was adapted from the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS), the Single Item FoMO Scale, and the Narcissistic Grandiosity Scale. Data were subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Results showed that FoMO and narcissism simultaneously influence Instagram addiction. FoMO and narcissism partially have a significant influence. Higher levels of FoMO or narcissism were associated with more severe addiction to Instagram, and vice versa. Results suggest that higher education institutions may benefit from intervention programs, such as trainings on self-management and social media use

Abstract

Mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kesejahteraan subjektif yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan orang dewasa pada umumnya. Suasana pendidikan di sekolah menengah atas dan perguruan tinggi tentunya memiliki perbedaan dan seringkali perubahan suasana ini membawa dampak bagi emosi, sosial, dan akademik individu, terutama bagi mahasiswa yang baru pertama kali memiliki pengalaman jauh dari rumah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial dan stres akademik terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Mulawarman. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 94 mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Mulawarman. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan skala Likert, yaitu skala dukungan sosial, skala stres akademik, dan skala kesejahteraan subjektif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 25.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap dukungan sosial dan stres akademik terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Mulawarman dengan nilai F = 71.453, R2 = 0.611, dan p = 0.000; (2) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dukungan sosial terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif dengan nilai koefisien beta (β) = 0.400, t hitung = 5.012, dan p = 0.000 (p < 0.05); (3) terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan stres akademik terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif dengan nilai koefisien beta (β) = -0.480, t hitung = -6.002, dan p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsep diri dan kemandirian belajar terhadap motivasi berprestasi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 100 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Mulawarman yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data digunakan adalah dengan skala motivasi berprestasi, konsep diri, dan kemandirian belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan bantuan program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 26.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan konsep diri dan kemandirian belajar motivasi berprestasi dengan nilai F hitung = 42.615 >  F tabel =3.10 dan nilai p = 0.000 serta memiliki konstribusi pengaruh (R2) sebesar 49.8%; (2) Tidak terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan konsep diri terhadap motivasi berprestasi dengan nilai koefisien beta (?) = 0.078, t hitung = 0.582 < t tabel = 1.988, dan nilai p = 0.562 (p > 0.05); (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap motivasi berprestasi dengan nilai koefisien beta (?) = 0.640, t hitung = 4.766 > t tabel = 1.988, dan nilai p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Stress management is an important skill that educators need to possess to plan and implement the learning process, assess learning outcomes, provide guidance and training, as well as engage in research and community service. The purpose of this training is to enhance stress management skills to improve the teaching process of educators. The training was conducted for teachers at SMA Negeri 16 Kota Samarinda and was attended by 13 participants. The methods used in this training include Training Need Analysis (TNA), training modules, material delivery, discussions, mindfulness, and pre-test and post-test evaluations. The results of this training show an improvement in understanding stress management. This improvement was obtained from data collected through pre-tests and post-tests, revealing an increase of 17%.

Abstract

Setiap individu menginginkan kualitas hidup yang baik, terutama dalam hubungan sosial. Remaja sering mengalami penurunan kualitas hidup akibat tekanan selama pubertas, pengaruh teman sebaya, atau perubahan dalam hubungan keluarga. Bentuk peningkatan hubungan dengan orang lain, dapat dilakukan dengan sikap pemaafan dan penerimaan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemaafan dan penerimaan diri terhadap kualitas hidup pada remaja dengan metode pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 64 siswa SMK X di Balikpapan yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tipe skala likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda yang dianalisis dengan bantuan program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 26.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pemaafan dan penerimaan diri terhadap kualitas hidup pada remaja dengan nilai F hitung = 25.089 > F tabel = 3.15 dan nilai p = 0.000 serta memiliki konstribusi pengaruh (R2) sebesar 45.1%; (2) tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara pemaafan terhadap kualitas hidup remaja dengan nilai koefisien beta (β) = -0.029, t hitung = -0.257 < t tabel = 1.999, dan nilai p = 0.798 (p > 0.05); (3) terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara penerimaan diri terhadap kualitas hdup pada remaja dengan nilai koefisien beta (β) = 0.687, t hitung = 6.120 > t tabel = 1.999, dan nilai p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Good communication skills within an organization are key to success in achieving goals. One factor that can influence the smoothness of communication within an organization is assertive communication. This study aims to evaluate the impact of assertive communication training on the effectiveness of the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) branch in Kutai Kartanegara. The research employs the experimental learning method, which includes Training Need Analysis (TNA), module development, implementation using experiential learning, and evaluation. The assessment is conducted to measure participants' cognitive improvements and their reactions to the training. Assertive communication training for effective organizational communication was conducted for 34 participants in the PMII branch in Kutai Kartanegara. The results indicate cognitive improvement from pre-test to post-test, although statistical significance was not observed with a significance level of (2-tailed) = 0.714 > 0.05. Nevertheless, participants' reactions to the training suggest positive outcomes. The facilitator evaluation graph and training implementation also highlight the positive impact of assertive communication within the organization.

Abstract

The many coffee shops spread across Indonesia provide a change to a more modern and more practical lifestyle. The development of the coffee shop business has created intense competition in the business world to win consumers with their purchasing decisions. The paper seeks to investigate how the store environment and pricing impact the buying choices of franchise customers at Kopi Ruang Hati in Sangatta City. The study will employ a quantitative research method. The study focused on Kopi Ruang Hati consumers selected through simple random sampling. Data collection methods used are store atmosphere, price, and purchase decisions. The analysis method utilized is multiple linear regression. The findings uncover that: (1) an impactful outcomes was observed as a result of purchasing decisions and store atmosphere towards prices with a F statistic = 17,188 > F table = 3.08 and p = 0.000 and had an influence contribution (R2) of 24.8%; (2) no influences are triggered by store atmosphere on purchasing decisions with a coefficient of beta (β) = 0.067, t statistic = 0.773 > t table = 1.983, and p = 0.441 (p < 0.05); and (3) The price has a major impact on the choices consumers make when buying with the beta coefficient (β) = 0.479, t statistic = 5.489 > t table 1.983, and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).

Abstract

The phenomenon of job hopping refers to the voluntary behavior of frequently switching jobs or companies, which is often done by the millennial generation in their workplaces. Therefore, this study aims to explore this phenomenon by examining the influence of career adaptability and job satisfaction on job hopping among millennial employees, particularly in Balikpapan City. This research uses a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique employed is multiple linear regression. The subjects of this study are 70 millennial employees in Balikpapan City, selected using purposive sampling. The data collection methods used are career adaptability, job satisfaction, and job hopping scales. The research reveals no substantial impact of career adaptability and job satisfaction on job-hopping behavior among millennial employees in Balikpapan. The findings indicate that these variables only minimally account for variations in job-hopping tendencies. Measurements place job-hopping tendencies, career adaptability, and job satisfaction at low levels, suggesting that employees show a limited inclination to switch jobs, coupled with low adaptability and satisfaction. These insights guide company management toward understanding job-hopping dynamics more effectively. While job satisfaction and career adaptability show little influence, fostering a positive work environment and improving employee satisfaction remain vital strategies for minimizing job-hopping. The study also points to the possibility of other, more impactful factors influencing job-hopping that warrant further investigation.

Abstract

Work engagement is a form of employee behavior in working conditions where an employee shows hope, intention, and commitment to the work he is doing, so that the employee carries out the work more actively. One of the factors that influence employee engagement is workplace welfare. This study aims to determine the relationship between working well-being and attachment in millennial generation employees. This research method uses a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 250 millennial generation employees who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method used is the scale of work welfare and work engagement. The data analysis technique used is the Kendall Tau correlation test. The results showed that the P value < 0.05 and the results of the correlation value of 0.241 which has meaning in this study show that there is a positive and significant relationship between workplace welfare and work attachment in millennial generation employees. The practical implication in this study is that workplace welfare has an effective role in increasing employee work engagement, with the existence of a supportive work environment, facilities, and superiors that can provide encouragement in employees to contribute more to work to achieve company goals.Work engagement merupakan bentuk perilaku karyawan dalam bekerja keadaan dimana seorang karyawan menunjukkan harapan, niat, dan komitmen dengan perkerjaan yang digelutinya, sehingga karyawan tersebut menjalankan pekerjaan dengan upaya yang lebih. Salah satu faktor yang memengaru work engagement pada karyawan adalah workplace well-being. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan workplace well-being dan keterikatan pada karyawan generasi milenial. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 250 karyawan generasi milenial yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala workplace well-being dan work engagement. Teknik analisa data yang digunkan adalah uji korelasi Kendall Tau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai P < 0.05 serta hasil nilai korelasi sebesar 0.241 yang memiliki arti dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara workplace well-being dengan work engagement pada karyawan generasi milenial. Implikasi praktis dalam penelitian ini adalah workplace well-being memiliki peran efektif dalam meningkatkan work engagement karyawan, dengan adanya lingkungan kerja, fasilitas, serta atasan yang mendukung dapat memberikan dorongan dalam diri karyawan untuk berkontribusi lebih dalam bekerja sehingga tercapainya tujuan perusahaan.
