Abstract

Hormonal contraception is a contraceptive containing estrogen and progesterone hormones. The hormone affects blood glucose levels. The user of the hormonal contraceptive pill in Bangkalan in the year of 2017 as many as 22.64%, 37.36% injection, and implant 24.62%. The purpose of the study was to determine relation of hormonal contraception user with blood glucose. This research employed an analytic observational with cross-sectional design by using purposive sampling technique which involved 30 respondents from 97 population. The result of research shows that there is no relation between pill contraceptive users with blood glucose level p = 1.000 (α> 0.05), relation of contraceptive injection user with blood glucose level p = 0.05 (α <0.05) no relation of implant contraceptive user with blood glucose level p = 1.000 (α>0.05) based on Chi-Square test. Thus, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between users of hormonal contraceptives with blood glucose levels in BPM Bu Yuni. In the future, it is suggested to do further research by controlling confounding variables influencing lifestyle, diet, and descendant.

Abstract

Sweat consist of both water and electrolytes, including chloride ion, so if the excretion of water and electrolyte is not corrected can disturb the body’s homeostasis and health. This study aimed to determine the different of chloride ion (Cl-) levels in the blood of volleyball players Ngudia Husada Madura STIKes between before and after playing volleyball 2 sets and 5 sets. This study was a pre –experimental with one group pretest-posttest, with two variables, namely the duration of playing volleyball and the levels of chloride ion (Cl-), the volleyball player population was 12 respondents. The sampling method was purposive sampling to obtain a total sample of 12 respondents blood sampling was performed before and after playing volleyball 2 sets and 5 sets for examination of chloride (Cl-) ion levels. The results showed that before playing volleyball the average value of chloride ion (Cl-) was 99,27 mEq/l, , after playing volleyball 2 sets and 5 sets in a row had an average value of chloride ion (Cl-) 99,58 mEq/l, and 99,72 mEq/l, . The statistical test results showed p = 0.04. It was concluded that there were significant differences in the levels of chloride ions(Cl-) When playing volleyball, there is a lot of sweat coming out, accompanied by some electrolyte fluid in the body so that it is necessary to pay attention to fluid and electrolyte intake from outside.

Abstract

. One of the plants that can be used is coconut pulp which is the product of coconut fruit waste (Cocos nucifera L). The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of coconut pulp raw materials (Cocos nucifera L) in body scrub cream preparations. The research method used was quantitative with an experimental research design by making a body scrub cream from coconut pulp with the concentration of coconut pulp used was 10g, 15g, and 20g. Data analysis used a one-way anova statistical test. The results obtained in the organoleptical test obtained all preparations have a rough texture, brownish white color, fresh smell, semi-solid shape. In the homogeneity test all preparations are homogeneous. In the pH test, all pH preparations were in the range of 7 in accordance with the pH standard, namely 4.5-8. The spreadability test shows that the three formulations have values ranging from 6 cm where the standard spreadability of cream preparations is 5-7 cm, for the one-way ANOVA statistical test shows p < 0.05 which means there is a significant difference between all formulations. The adhesion test shows that the three formulations have an adhesion test value ranging from 4-5 seconds where the adhesion has a standard that is> 1 second, for the one-way ANOVA statistical test shows p < 0.05, which means there is a significant difference between all formulations. Suggestions for researchers are that further research needs to be carried out by combining coconut pulp with other ingredients.

Abstract

Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) are the most important component in the treatment of tuberculosis. Tuberculosis treatment is one of the most efficient efforts to prevent the further spread of tuberculosis germs and tuberculosis drugs include antibiotic drugs which function in various ways to kill tuberculosis bacteria. The purpose of study is to determine the effect of education about Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) on public knowledge at the Geger Health Center. This research used observational analytics using a cross sectional approach, the research population was 78 respondents with a sample of 65 respondents. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling with the purposive sampling method. The research was conducted at the Geger health center in April 2024. The data collection tool used questionnaires. Data analysis was univariate and bivariate using the paired t-test. The results of the research before being given education (pretest), namely 30 (46.2%) respondents were in the poor category, while after being given education (posttest), 53 (81.5%) were in the good category. Based on the results of statistical tests carried out using the paired t-test, the p-value (0.000) < α (0.05) was obtained, which means that there was an effect of education on public knowledge about anti-tuberculosis drugs at Geger health centers. It was concluded that there was an increase in public knowledge about anti-tuberculosis drugs at Geger health centers after being given education. The suggestion for future researchers is to add variables that can influence the attitude of Tuberculosis patients towards treatment.
