Abstract

This research aims to determine job satisfaction and motivation as mediating the relationship between teacher certification and principal supervision of teacher performance. The research design used a quantitative approach to causality. To obtain research data using documentation instruments and distributing questionnaires online. The sample used in the study was 215 respondents. The basis for determining the sample is oriented towards a non-probability sampling approach using a purposive sampling formula. To test the mediating effect of satisfaction and the relationship between principal supervision and compensation on teacher performance, the structural equation modeling (SEM) approach with partial least squares analysis is used. Following the research results, Teacher certification has a significant effect on satisfaction and motivation, and teacher certification has no significant effect on teacher performance. The results of subsequent research and the principal's supervision have a significant effect on job satisfaction, motivation, and teacher performance. Furthermore, the results showed that job satisfaction could not mediate the relationship between teacher certification and principal school supervision of teacher performance for the first and second mediation tests. Then, for the third and fourth mediation tests, results were obtained, which stated that motivation could not mediate the relationship between teacher certification and supervision of school principals on teacher performance. Therefore, principal supervision has a significant effect on job satisfaction, motivation, and teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the role of intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence in affecting the teacher performance. This study used a research design of an associative quantitative approach. The data were collected through documentation and online questionnaires. This study used a sample of 39 respondents with the determination of the sample size using the saturated sample formula. Partial least square was applied to examine the relationship between teacher performance, intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence. The results of this study showed that of the three hypotheses formulated, there were two hypotheses that were rejected. For the effect of the intellectual intelligence variable on the teacher performance variable, the results did not have a significant effect, and then, the effect of the emotional intelligence variable on the teacher performance variable was the same, which was not affected significantly. Meanwhile, the spiritual intelligence variable had a significant effect on teacher performance.

Abstract

The success and failure of an organization is influenced by competent Human Resources (HRM) who are oriented towards efficiency, quality, and productivity. This research aims to determine the role of principal supervision, organizational culture, motivation, and compensation as predictors of job satisfaction. The research design used a quantitative approach to causality. To obtain research data using documentation instruments and distributing questionnaires online. Findings. In accordance with the results of the study, it was found that the supervision of the principal has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, organizational culture has a significant influence on job satisfaction. Furthermore, motivation has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Abstract

In running the company's operations, skilled and expert human resources are needed to run it to achieve its goals effectively and efficiently. Supporting the role of skilled and expert human resources, optimal job satisfaction is needed for employees to encourage increased performance. The aim of this study is to determine the predictors that affect the job satisfaction of millennial workers in Pematangsiantar City. This research instrument used a questionnaire distributed to 120 respondents who worked in companies and banks. Next, the researcher tested the hypothesis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on a variant called Partial Least Square (PLS) and the SmartPLS version 3.0 application as a tool to analyze it. The results of this study concluded that five hypotheses were accepted, and 1 hypothesis was rejected. The rejected hypothesis is that organizational justice has no significant effect on work satisfaction. Furthermore, significant results were obtained for the effect of organizational climate, organizational commitment, reward, and work environment on work satisfaction. Then, for the effect of work satisfaction on employee performance, significant results were obtained. For further research, the author recommends researchers develop variables that are suspected to be the main predictors to encourage job satisfaction and employee performance to provide complete recommendations regarding the development of human resource performance, especially for millennial workers. The novelty of this research is in measuring the level of satisfaction of millennial workers, considering that in 2030-2040 the Indonesia will get a substantial demographic bonus. The proposed model includes elements of organizational climate, organizational commitment, reward, organizational justice, and work environment to determine how much influence it has on the level of satisfaction and its impact on performance.

Abstract

Semakin maraknya penyebaran Covid-19 ini tentu saja meresahkan masyarakat banyak. Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan menyikapi Covid-19 dengan menerbitkan dua surat edaran yaitu Surat Edaran Nomor 2 Tahun 2020 Tentang Pencegahan dan Penanganan Covid-19 di lingkungan Kemendikbud dan Surat Edaran Nomor 3 Tahun 2020 Tentang Pencegahan Covid-19 pada Satuan Pendidikan. Kedua surat edaran ini dipertegas lagi dengan dikeluarkannya surat No. 36962/MPK.A/HK/2020 tanggal 17 Maret 2020 untuk memberlakukan pembelajaran secara daring dan bekerja dari rumah dalam rangka pencegahan penyebaran Corona Virus Disease (COVID 19). Kemendikbud bekerjasama dengan berbagai perusahaan di bidang teknologi pendidikan juga mengembangkan aplikasi pembelajaran jarak jauh untuk mendukung pembelajaran secara daring untuk para siswa seperti Rumah Belajar, Google G Suites for Education, Kelas Pintar, Microsoft Office 365, Quipper School, Sekolah Online Ruang Guru, Sekolahmu dan Zenius. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran secara daring sebagai solusi pencegahan penyebaran Covid-19 (studi kasus di SMP Swasta Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran daring di SMP Swasta Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar belum optimal. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Daring, Learning Management System, Covid-19

Abstract

Innovation and technology have become important elements in the transformation of education in the digital era. Teachers, as key agents of change in education, play a crucial role in integrating technology and implementing innovative methods to enrich students' learning experiences. This research is important to identify the extent to which innovation and technology are able to support teachers' tasks in delivering material more interactively and efficiently. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 30 teachers at Sultan Agung Private Junior High School Pematangsiantar. The results of the study show that there is a significant positive influence between the application of innovation and technology on improving teacher performance. Innovations in teaching methods allow teachers to be more creative in delivering material, while the use of technology facilitates better interaction with students and facilitates classroom management. Thus, this study emphasizes the importance of developing teachers' ability to innovate and use technology as a strategy to improve the quality of education. This research also provides implications for education policymakers to increase support for training programs and technology development in the school environment.

Abstract

Student learning achievement is one of the main indicators of success in the world of education. This achievement is not only influenced by internal factors of students, such as intellectual ability and motivation, but also by various external factors, including the quality of teaching provided by teachers and locus of control. This research is necessary to determine the degree to which teacher performance and locus of control are able to create an effective and supportive learning environment that ultimately has an impact on improving student learning achievement. Thirty teachers at Sultan Agung Private Junior High School Pematangsiantar participated in a survey as part of this study's quantitative methodology. Data is gathered by means of questionnaire distribution, recordkeeping, and interviews. SPSS is used to process the data. Quantitative descriptive analysis, which includes correlation and determination coefficients, F-test, t-test, multiple linear regression analysis, and basic linear regression analysis, is used to analyze the data. The study's findings demonstrated a strong positive correlation between locus of control and teacher effectiveness in raising student learning accomplishment. Enhancing student learning achievement is significantly impacted by both strong internal locus of control and effective teacher performance. This research provides important implications for education policies to improve the quality of teaching by paying attention to these two factors.

Abstract

This research aims to build a model for strengthening employee engagement in the creative industry by examining the role of self-efficacy and perceived organizational support as the main predictors. This research uses quantitative methods to survey employees in various creative industry sectors in Indonesia. The population in this study comprises creative sector industry workers, and the population size is unknown. In this research, researchers used a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 130 employees. The data analysis method used is based on regression analysis using the IBM SPSS 23 program. The results of the data analysis conclude that self-efficacy and perceived organizational support have a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. The results of this research can provide theoretical and practical contributions to human resource management in the creative industries. These findings are expected to show that self-efficacy and perceived organizational support significantly influence employee engagement and can be a basis for companies to design more effective employee management strategies.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1. gambaran tata letak, pengawasan, dan kinerja pegawai pada PT Bank Sumut Cabang Syariah Pematangsiantar; 2. pengaruh tata letak dan pengawasan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada PT Bank Sumut Cabang Syariah Pematangsiantar. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: 1. pegawai menyatakan tata letak sudah baik, pengawasan sudah baik, dan kinerja pegawai sudah baik; 2. hasil analisis regresi adalah Ŷ = 7,916 + 0,476X1 + 0,521X2, artinya terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara tata letak dan pengawasan terhadap kinerja pegawai; 3. hasil analisis korelasi diperoleh nilai r = 0,719, artinya terdapat hubungan yang kuat dan positif antara variabel tata letak dan pengawasan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada PT Bank Sumut Cabang Syariah Pematangsiantar baik tidaknya kinerja pegawai di jelaskan 51,8% oleh tata letak dan pengawasan; 4. Hipotesis H0 ditolak, artinya tata letak dan pengawasan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada PT Bank Sumut Cabang Syariah Pematangsiantar baik secara simultan maupun secara parsial.Kata kunci: Tata Letak, Pengawasan, Kinerja Pegawai

Abstract

Riset bertujuan mengetahui, yakni: 1. gambaran deskripsi pekerjaan, koordinasi, serta kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Pusat Gereja Kristen Protestan Simalungun (GKPS) Pematangsiantar; 2. pengaruh deskripsi pekerjaan dan koordinasi terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Pusat Gereja Kristen Protestan Simalungun (GKPS) Pematangsiantar. Untuk memperoleh hasil riset digunakan desain penelitian kepustakaan dan lapangan, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa deskripsi pekerjaan, koordinasi, dan kinerja pegawai telah baik; hasil analisis regresi yakni: YÌ‚= 13, 766+ 0, 546X1+ 0, 518X2 berarti deskripsi pekerjaan dan koordinasi berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja; hasil analisis korelasi didapat angka r= 0,743 maksudnya ada hubungan yang kuat dan positif antara deskripsi pekerjaan dan koordinasi dengan kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Pusat Gereja Kristen Protestan Simalungun (GKPS) Pematangsiantar. Tinggi rendahnya kinerja pegawai 55,1% bisa dijelaskan oleh deskripsi pekerjaan dan koordinasi; hipotesis H0 ditolak, artinya deskripsi pekerjaan dan koordinasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Pusat Gereja Kristen Protestan Simalungun (GKPS) Pematangsiantar baik dengan cara simultan ataupun parsial.Kata kunci: Deskripsi Pekerjaan, Kepuasan Kerja, Kinerja Pegawai
