Abstract

Teen delinquency is a crucial phenomenon that continues to grow up to the present. Therefore, efforts to handle this issue have become extremely urgent. In link with this, this study aims to explore how guidance and counseling teachers (BK) can enhance the effectiveness of their interventions in dealing with student delinquency at Muhammadiyah 4 High School in Bengkulu City through sentence variation techniques in suggestive language. The meaning and function of the figurative language are also explored and analyzed in-depth through the interactive analysis technique. A case study research model with a qualitative descriptive method was chosen to understand the subjects and objects studied deeply. Through observation and interview techniques, data were collected and analyzed using the interactive analysis technique of Miles & Huberman to understand the meaning and function of the suggestive language used by BK teachers to resolve teenage delinquency. The study results reveal two patterns of sentence variation in suggestion language: praising and motivational sentences. Abstract

Purpose–Cultivating strong communication abilities is essential for navigating the challenges of today's workplace. These skills enhance academic performance and serve as a fundamental asset in meeting the demands of an ever-evolving and competitive job market. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning in enhancing the communication skills of communication science students.Methodology–The method used in this study was pre-experimental with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research subjects comprised 73 students from the Communication Studies Program, Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. Data was collected using pre-tests and post-tests to determine students' communication skills before and after being given learning treatment with the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach. The data analysis technique was carried out using a variable normality test and a hypothesis test to see the difference in the pre-test and post-test scores of communication skills, with a significance of 0.05.Findings–The research conclusion is that there is a significant difference between the results of the student pre-test and the post-test of student communication skills with a paired samples test (t) value of 12.848 with a p-value of 0.000. There is a difference between communication skills (pre-test) and communication skills (post-test). Statistical analysis shows that the variables in this study are typically distributed. The hypothesis test results show a t-value of 12.848, which is greater than the t-table of 1.666.Significance –The application of PjBL significantly contributes positively and effectively to improving students' communication skills. Therefore, educators should emphasize the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach in learning, which has been proven effective in improving students' communication skills.

Abstract

Background:  The Merdeka Curriculum provides freedom for teachers to choose flexible learning methods, including the use of project-based learning (PjBL). However, many teachers still face difficulties in designing project-based teaching materials that are in accordance with this curriculum.Aims:  This research aims to empower Indonesian teachers in Bengkulu through project-based teaching material development training, which can improve their skills in implementing the Independent Curriculum.Methods:  This service activity involved lectures, discussions, and demonstrations to 20 teachers who are members of MGMP Indonesian at SMP-MTs Bengkulu. The training is focused on the development of project-based teaching materials and their application in learning.Results:  The majority of participants gave a very positive response, reaching 94.4%. Only 5.6% of participants were in a position of Doubt, and none expressed Disagree or strongly disagree. showed that the participants considered the training approach to be very relevant to the need to be able to improve understanding and skills in compiling project-based teaching materials.Conclusion: This training succeeded in empowering Indonesian teachers in Bengkulu, strengthening the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, and improving the quality of project-based learning in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu Selatan. Nilai-nilai karakter yang diimplementasikan meliputi religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, cinta tanah air, semangat kebangsaan, demokratis, bersahabat/komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, tanggung jawab, dan menghargai prestasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua guru Bahasa Indonesia, satu wakil kepala sekolah, dan tiga siswa dari jenjang kelas VII, VIII, dan IX. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi nilai karakter dilakukan secara sistematis melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian pembelajaran. Guru menggunakan modul ajar yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter, menerapkannya dalam proses belajar mengajar dari awal hingga penutup, serta melakukan penilaian yang mencakup aspek sikap dan perilaku siswa. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan implementasi meliputi komitmen guru, budaya sekolah, serta dukungan lingkungan. Sementara itu, hambatan utama berasal dari kurangnya kesadaran siswa dan pengaruh teknologi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kolaborasi antara sekolah, guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat dalam mendukung pendidikan karakter secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis merupakan salah satu aspek keterampilan berbahasa yang sangat dibutuhkan, terutama dalam mengungkapkan ide, pikiran, dan perasaan melalui karangan, baik fiksi maupun nonfiksi. Bahkan, kehidupan manusia hampir tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kegiatan menulis. Oleh karena itu, keterampilan menulis harus diajarkan dengan baik kepada Siswa Kelas VI SD sebagai penulis pemula. Para murid di sekolah dasar sebagai penulis pemula harus dibina, dibekali, dan ditempa keterampilan menulisnya sehingga mereka mampu menuangkan ide, pikiran, perasaan, dan gagasan dalam berbagai jenis. Pembinaan keterampilan menulis sejak dini dapat dilakukan mulai dari tingkat sekolah dasar. Tentu saja, model pembinaan keterampilan menulis di sekolah dasar disesuaikan dengan tingkat perkembangan usia, psikologi, dan kategori/tingkat kemampuan menulis. Umumnya, murid di sekolah dasar sebagai penulis pemula mengandalkan kemampuan berpikir yang sederhana sehingga dalam menulis memerlukan teknik khusus

Abstract

Microteaching learning helps prospective teacher students hone their teaching skills before starting to work in real classrooms. Guided practice involves feedback and guidance from the supervising lecturer to support students' teaching practices. This research aims to describe the improvement of basic teaching skills through guided practice in microteaching learning. The method used is quantitative descriptive. The research subjects involve 13 students from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program. Data collection was conducted during microteaching sessions through direct observation by filling out instruments assessing basic teaching skill mastery. Data analysis techniques include several steps: (1) describing the data as a whole, (2) recording observation data in tables, (3) calculating values using the average and percentage formulas, (4) comparing the results with mastery level calculations, (5) interpretation and drawing conclusions. The research results conclude that the mastery level of basic teaching skills through guided practice in microteaching learning: the first teaching practice with an average score of 63.80 is at a good mastery level, the second teaching practice with an average score of 77.22 is at a good mastery level, and the third teaching practice with an average score of 84.77 is at a very good mastery level. The improvement in students' basic teaching skills through guided practice in microteaching learning from the first to the second teaching practice increased by 21.03%, the improvement from the second to the third teaching practice increased by 8.45%, and the overall improvement from the first to the third teaching practice increased by 31.26%."

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan peserta didik dalam menentukan struktur dan ciri kebahasaan teks laporan hasil observasi peserta didik kelas VII D SMP Negeri 11 Kota Bengkulu, Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu mendeskripsikan data penelitian apa adanya. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada penggunaan struktur yaitu deskripsi umum, deskripsi bagian, manfaat, dan kesimpulan. Ciri kebahasaannya yaitu frasa nomina, verba relasional, verba aktif, konjungsi, repetisi, dan kata keilmuan yang ditemukan dalam teks laporan hasil observasi peserta didik kelas VII D SMP Negeri 11 Kota Bengkulu. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik tes atau penugasan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah tulisan struktur dan ciri kebahasaan teks laporan hasil observasi. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti itu sendiri. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik kelas VII D SMP Negeri 11 Kota Bengkulu memperoleh skor rata-rata 7,2 dengan kategori nilai cukup yang artinya peserta didik belum mampu menganalisis struktur dan ciri kebahasaan teks laporan hasil observasi. Abstract

Pengabdian yang dilakukan berupa sosialisasi dan pendampingan tentang strategi guru dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan literasi membaca siswa  sekolah dasar Muhammadiyah 2 Pendakian Kota Bengkulu karena minat membaca siswanya masih rendah, sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai, guru belum memahami sepenuhnya bagaimana strategi untuk menumbuhkan minat baca siswa. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi, penyuluhan/sosialisasi strategi menumbuhkan minat baca siswa Sekolah Dasar, implementasi strategi menumbuhkan minat baca siswa oleh guru Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah 2, melakukan pendampingan guru dalam  melaksanakan strategi menumbuhkan minat baca siswa Sekolah Dasar, melakukan  evaluasi terhadap guru, merefleksi  pelaksanaan strategi pembelajaran dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa Sekolah Dasar. Pelaksanaan pengabdian di Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah 2 pendakian berjalan lancar dan mendapat sambutan baik dari guru-guru. Semua guru hadir dan antusias mengikuti sosialisasi  tentang literasi dan mengimplementasikan strategi dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan literasi membaca siswa  Sekolah Dasar. Guru di SDM 2 Pendakian sudah dapat memahami tahapan pelaksanaan literasi di sekolah dasar dan dapat menerapkan strategi dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan literasi membaca siswa. Kreativitas, ketekunan dan kemauan guru dalam menerapkan tahapan literasi di sekolah dasar dan melaksanakan strategi dalam pembelajaran literasi dapat meningkatkan literasi membaca siswa di sekolah tersebut. Kata Kunci: Strategi Guru, Literasi, Membaca, Siswa SD
