Abstract

Traditional Arabic language instruction in Islamic educational institutions often employs conventional approaches focused on memorization and grammar mastery, neglecting students' diverse learning potentials and spiritual development. Despite separate studies on Multiple Intelligences in language teaching and Qur'anic values in education, research comprehensively integrating these approaches in Arabic pedagogy remains scarce. This study aimed to design an Arabic language learning model that synthesizes Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory with Qur'anic values for holistic student development. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology through library research, data were collected from scientific journals, books, and Qur'anic texts. Analysis employed an inductive-based thematic approach (al-tahlil al-istiqra'i) involving identification of key themes, categorization, cross-source synthesis, and conceptual conclusion drawing. Findings revealed that this integrated approach creates a student-centered, spiritually enriched learning environment that accommodates diverse cognitive profiles while internalizing Islamic principles. Implementation strategies for the four language skills (istima', kalam, qira'ah, kitabah) demonstrated enhanced student engagement and improved language acquisition when tailored to students' dominant intelligences and embedded with Qur'anic values. This model contributes a novel pedagogical framework that addresses limitations of traditional approaches while promoting both linguistic proficiency and Islamic character formation.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the various Arabic language curriculum models implemented across different types of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia during the period 2020–2025. This review is significant considering the evolving educational landscape of pesantren, which are increasingly responding to the demands of 21st-century learning while preserving their distinctive Islamic traditions. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was employed, analyzing ten accredited scholarly articles relevant to the topic. The findings reveal a diversity of curriculum models, including the Merdeka Curriculum, the 2013 Curriculum, Kulliyyatu al-Mu’allimîn al-Islâmiyyah, traditional salafiyah curricula, integrated curricula, and humanistic approaches. Among these, the integrative curriculum emerged as the most promising model, effectively bridging Islamic values, national education standards, and 21st-century competencies. The study concludes that Arabic curriculum transformation in pesantren is moving towards a synthesis of tradition and pedagogical innovation. The implications suggest the need for strategic collaboration among Islamic boarding schools, educational scholars, and policymakers to develop adaptive, contextual, and sustainable curricula, supported by improved teacher training and learning infrastructure.

Abstract

Mastery of Arabic language is a crucial aspect of Arabic language proficiency, yet it is often perceived as difficult and unengaging by students. Therefore, innovative, contextual, and enjoyable learning media are needed. This study aims to develop and determine the effectiveness of a learning medium based on the Book of Translated Pop Songs(Indonesian–Arabic) in enhancing students’ Nahwu skills. his research uses the Research and Development (RD) method following the Borg and Gall development model, which includes needs analysis, product design, product development, field testing, product revision, and validation testing. Expert validation was conducted to assess the feasibility of the media, while trials were carried out with students of MTs Al-Ihsan Pondok Pesantren Al-Ihsan Air Rumbai, Muko-Muko. Research instruments included pre-tests and post-tests to measure students' improvement in understanding Nahwu. The pre-test results showed an average student score of 63.33%. After the implementation of the Book of Translated Pop Songs, all 30 students scored above the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) of 75. There was a 29.60% improvement in Nahwu proficiency. Additionally, the majority of students responded positively to the learning medium. Learning media based on contextually translated pop songs have been proven to enhance student interest and understanding in Nahwu learning. This approach can serve as an alternative for Arabic language teachers to create a more engaging and meaningful learning environment. The Book of Translated Pop Songs (Indonesian–Arabic) has proven to be an effective learning medium in improving students’ mastery of Arabic Language and contributes positively to their learning engagement.

Abstract

ملخص البحث: علم البلاغة هو يدرس على وجه التحديد العلاقة بين الكلمات والتعابير المناسبة لسياق وموقف معين، يشمل على ثلاثة مجالات من العلم: علم المعاني، وعلم البيان، وعلم البديع. ويتمحور التركيز في دراسة علم البديع حول المحسّنات اللفظية، وبشكل عام في علم البلاغة ينقسم إلى ثلاثة مواضيع: الجناس، والاقتباس، والسجع. السجع يشير إلى تطابق اثنين من الكلمات الأخيرة في نهايتهما. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل أنواع السجع الموجودة في كتاب "عقيدة العوام" للشيخ أحمد المرزوقي المالكي. تعتبر هذه الدراسة دراسة وصفية نوعية يتمثل نتاجها في بيانات وصفية مكتوبة في شكل جدول. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود ثلاثة أنواع من السجع في الكتاب، وهي: السجع المطرّف، والمتوازي، والمرصّع. وكان عدد الأبيات التي تحتوي على السجع المطرّف 39 بيتًا، والمتوازي 16 بيتًا، والمرشّح 2 بيتًا. ومن المأمول أن يزيد هذا البحث من اهتمام وفهم متعلمي البلاغة وخاصة الذين يدرسون الأدب العربي في تطبيق أنماط صناعة الجملة التي تتفق مع مفهوم السجع في علم البديع. الكلمات الرئيسية : عقيدة العوام, السجع, المطرّف, المتوازي, المرصّع. Abstract : In the world of Arabic, there is a field of study known as bala>gah science. This science specifically studies the relationship between words and expressions in accordance with certain contexts and situations. The science of bala>gah, as a scientific discipline, involves three fields at once: ma'a>ni science (meaning), baya>n science (expression), and badi>' science (beauty of language). The special focus in the study of badi>' on muh}assina>t lafz}iyyah (beautifying the lafaz}), in general in the science of bala>gah, is divided into three topics: jina>s, iqtiba>s, and saja'. Saja' refers to the compatibility of the last two words in the final letter. This study aims to analyze the types of saja' found in the book 'Aqi>datul 'Awa>m by Sheikh Ahmad Al-Marzuqi Al-Maliki. This research is a descriptive qualitative research whose results are in the form of written descriptive data in the form of tables. The results show that there are three types of saja' in the book, namely mut}arraf, mutawa>zi, and muras}s}a'. The number of stanzas containing saja' mut}arraf is 39 stanzas, mutawa>zi is 16 stanzas, and muras}s}a' is 2 stanzas. It is hoped that this research can increase the interest and understanding of bala>gah learners, especially those who study Arabic literature, in applying sentence-making patterns that are in accordance with the concept of saja' in badi>' science.. Keywords: ‘Aqi>datul ‘Awa>m, Muras}s}a‘, Mutawa>zi, Mut}arraf, Saja‘. Abstrak: Dalam dunia bahasa Arab, terdapat sebuah bidang kajian yang dikenal sebagai ilmu bala>gah. Ilmu ini khususnya mempelajari hubungan antara kata dan ungkapan yang sesuai dengan konteks dan situasi tertentu. Ilmu bala>gah, sebagai disiplin ilmu, melibatkan tiga bidang sekaligus: ilmu ma‘a>ni (makna), ilmu baya>n (ungkapan), dan ilmu badi>‘ (keindahan bahasa). Fokus khusus dalam kajian ilmu badi>‘ pada muh}assina>t lafz}iyyah (memperindah lafaz}), secara umum dalam ilmu bala>gah, terbagi menjadi tiga topik: jina>s, iqtiba>s, dan saja‘. Saja‘ merujuk pada kesesuaian dua kata terakhir pada huruf akhirnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis saja‘ yang terdapat dalam kitab ‘Aqi>datul ‘Awa>m karya Syekh Ahmad Al-Marzuqi Al-Maliki. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang hasilnya berupa data deskriptif tertulis dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga jenis saja‘ dalam kitab tersebut, yaitu saja‘ mut}arraf, mutawa>zi, dan muras}s}a‘. Jumlah bait yang mengandung saja‘ mut}arraf sebanyak 39 bait, mutawa>zi sebanyak 16 bait, dan muras}s}a‘ sebanyak 2 bait. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman para pemelajar ilmu bala>gah, terutama mereka yang mendalami sastra Arab, dalam mengaplikasikan pola pembuatan kalimat yang sesuai dengan konsep saja‘ dalam ilmu badi>‘. Abstract

Arabic textbooks play an important role in language learning, yet they often face challenges related to language authenticity and cultural relevance, especially in the context of learning in Indonesia. A key issue that often arises is the use of language that is stiff or does not reflect everyday conversation, as well as the lack of an introduction to the cultural context underlying the use of the language. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the importance of involving native speakers in the development of Arabic textbooks, as well as the impact of native speaker involvement on the authenticity of language, cultural relevance, and pedagogical effectiveness. The research method used in this study is a literature review, analyzing several Arabic textbooks that involve native speakers and those that do not, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each. The results of the study show that textbooks involving native speakers offer more authentic language, stronger cultural relevance, and higher pedagogical effectiveness. These textbooks facilitate students' understanding of Arabic in a more in-depth and real cultural context. In contrast, textbooks that do not involve native speakers tend to be more structured and theoretical but lack the introduction of language used in everyday social life in the Arab world. The implications of this research highlight the importance of collaboration between native speakers, language experts, and educators in the development of Arabic textbooks. This collaboration aims to create instructional materials that not only teach grammar but also introduce the use of language in socially and culturally relevant contexts. The involvement of native speakers is crucial to improving the quality of Arabic language learning in Indonesia by introducing more authentic and contextual language

Abstract

Perplexity.ai is very helpful in the world of translation. This study aims to analyze the translation errors produced by Perplexity.ai from morphological, syntactic, and semantic aspects. This research is a descriptive qualitative method. The data analysis technique of this research uses a content analysis technique. This study examines the translation errors of CNN Indonesia's news entitled "House of Senior Hamas Commander in West Bank Leveled by Israeli Military" into Arabic through Perplexity.ai application from morphological, syntactic, and semantic aspects. This study shows that the translation from Indonesian into Arabic using Perplexity.ai application is not fully accurate, because there are still many errors in various aspects of the language. Errors in the semantic aspect are the most common, syntactic errors are the least common, and morphological errors are the least common.

Abstract

Narasi artistik bahasa Arab yang di tulis oleh penutur jati dan nonpenutur jati bisa saja memiliki perbedaan. Hal tersebut yang menjadi fokus utama dalam penelitian ini. oleh karena itu penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menganalisis teks narasi artistik bahasa Arab penutur jati dan nonpenutur jati. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis komparatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling yaitu kisah penggembala dan serigala dan kisah singa dan seekor tikus. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan simpulan bahwa terdapat empat move/tahapan yang ditempuh dalam narasi artistik yang dibuat oleh penutur jati dan nonpenutur jati baik itu dalam kisah penggembala dan serigala juga kisah singa dan seekor tikus. Keempat tahap tersebut meliputi orientasi, komplikasi, resolusi dan reorientasi. Dalam empat tahapan tersebut peneliti menemukan beberapa perbedaan diantaranya yaitu fungsi latar yang dipakai dalam orientasi, pengembangan konflik cerita dalam komplikasi, cara penyelesaian masalah dalam resoulsi, dan pesan moral yang diambil dari reorientasi cerita

Abstract

Textbooks greatly support the success of students in achieving various knowledge competencies. However, many books do not meet the eligibility standards, causing problems, one of which is learning outcomes that do not reach the Minimum Completion Criteria. So, this study aims to analyze the eligibility aspects of the book Al-Muyassar Fī 'Ilmi Al-Naḥwi based on the Education Standards, Curriculum and Assessment Agency (BSKAP) eligibility standards and explain the impact of its use on student learning outcomes. The type of research used is qualitative-descriptive. The research design used is content analysis and observational studies. The research population was grade VIII students in one of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bandung City. Participants were selected through a purposive sampling technique, and the result was that the sample that met the predetermined criteria amounted to 10 people. Data collection techniques consist of two kinds, namely test and non-test instruments. Data obtained will be processed with 3 stages of data analysis techniques: data reduction display and verification. Based on the review of the book of Al-Muyassar Fī 'Ilmi Al-Naḥwi based on the BSKAP standards, this book has mostly achieved the BSKAP standards that have been determined. However, the book of Al-Muyassar Fī 'Ilmi Al-Naḥwi has not played the maximum role it should because this book cannot be used independently by students, and the learning outcomes achieved are not optimal.

Abstract

The development of methods and the use of technology in learning Arabic has become the focus of attention in the context of education. The purpose of this research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of learning methods and technology integration in teaching Arabic. The research method used is a literature study that reviews the development of literature related to classical and modern methods such as grammar-translation, direct, reading, and speech, as well as the application of technology such as audiovisual, e-learning, and games in the learning process. The results of the study show the obstacles in the application of methods and technologies, as well as the proposed innovative efforts to overcome these challenges. In conclusion, the development of Arabic learning methods and technologies remains relevant and sustainable in the digital era.
