Abstract

Designing lessons is an integral part of teacher practice. With the implementation of the national curriculum based on the emancipated curriculum, teachers are given the freedom to develop learning tools according to the needs and characteristics of students in their respective schools. However, in reality, it is more challenging than imagined in the field. Teachers still need help in developing teaching modules independently. Therefore, this community service activity aims to empower teachers using technology in the form of a module generator application that can assist teachers in developing learning tools in the form of teaching modules according to the subjects they teach. This PkM activity is carried out in 4 stages, starting from socialization to program sustainability. The target partners of this activity are teachers in two elementary schools in Boyolali District. The results of this activity were that 15 participants managed to develop teaching modules independently. In addition, teachers' understanding of the concept of pedagogy and innovative learning models in target partners also increased to 81%

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of professional value and perceived adoption control on teachers' CPD engagement via a digital teaching platform.  This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. It involves 313 high school teachers in Pati, Grobogan and Semarang Central Java with at least a year of experience in using the digital teaching platform. The instrument used in this study is a 5-point Likert scale item survey with 21 questions covering 11 constructs adapted from TAM. It uses Jamovi to analyze and model the data statistically. Structural Equation Modelling examines the relationship between variables proposed in the model. The result of the study shows that perceived professional value moderately impacts teachers' CPD Engagement. The constructs strongly mediate their CPD engagement through the perceived adoption control construct. The SEM analysis indicates that the proposed model is a good fit, as the fit indices show. The conceptual implication of the findings demonstrates that it extends TAM 2 in CPD context using a digital teaching platform. Practically, CPD program should align the technology tools with teachers’ professional goals and ensure it is part of the professional culture rather than leaving it as optional or voluntary practices.

Abstract

Abstract E-learning has become an essential tool in higher education, enabling universities to provide accessibility and flexibility in teaching and learning. One of the popular e-learning platforms is Moodle, which many universities in Indonesia use. However, the use of Moodle at universities has yet to be studied in depth, especially in the context of the influence of e-learning on the academic performance index. Therefore, this research aims to test Moodle e-learning in the Buddhi Dharma University environment located in Tangerang using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) method using the five variables Perceive Usefulness (PU), Perceive Ease of Use (PEOU), Attention Towards Using (ATU), Behavioral Intention to Use (BITU), and Actual System Using (ASU) plus two other variables, namely Level of Confidence (LC) and Academic Performance (AP). All variables were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness (PU) have a significant positive influence on attitudes (ATT) and user behavioral intentions (BITU) as well as actual system use (ASU) in Moodle as an e-learning platform with a value of t -statistics that exceed the t-table value and p-value. However, in this case, a good acceptance of e-learning technology does not affect the Confidence Level (LC) and user Academic Performance (AP).

Abstract

This research examines the determinants influencing vocational high school teachers’ behavioral intention and actual use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in lesson planning, employing a modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) framework. A quantitative research design was implemented, utilizing purposive sampling to select 92 teachers from SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga who had prior experience with generative AI in instructional design. Data were collected through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4, assessing construct validity, reliability, and structural relationships. The findings indicate that Behavioral Intention constitutes the most substantial predictor of Use Behavior (β = 0.958), significantly shaped by Hedonic Motivation, Habit, Price Value, Performance Expectancy, and Effort Expectancy. Notably, Lesson Planning exhibits a negative association with Use Behavior (β = -0.378), suggesting that rigid or bureaucratic planning frameworks may impede the integration of AI technologies. Demographic moderators, including age, gender, professional experience, educational attainment, and willingness, demonstrated no statistically significant effects. The study underscores that the adoption of AI in educational contexts is predominantly driven by motivational and perceptual constructs rather than demographic variables. The implications emphasize the necessity for adaptive lesson design, targeted teacher professional development focusing on technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK), and supportive policy frameworks to foster effective and contextually relevant AI integration in vocational education.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into educational settings, offering benefits such as improved efficiency, personalization, and student engagement. However, its adoption also raises ethical concerns that require careful consideration. This study investigates teachers’ and students’ perspectives on the ethical use of AI in vocational education, employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) extended with Ethical Awareness, Trust, and Subjective Norms. A quantitative research design was applied, supported by interviews for triangulation. Data were collected from 60 students and 5 teachers in the Computer and Network Engineering program at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga, Indonesia, all of whom had prior AI usage experience. The results indicate that Ethical Awareness significantly influences Attitude Toward Use (p = 0.002, t = 3.070), Behavioral Intention (p < 0.001, t = 6.175), and Perceived Usefulness (p < 0.001, t = 4.330). Perceived Ease of Use was found to have a positive effect on Behavioral Intention (p = 0.004, t = 2.913). Trust exhibited a strong relationship with both Actual Use (p < 0.001, t = 3.543) and Attitude Toward Use (p = 0.009, t = 2.621). Reliability testing showed Cronbach’s Alpha values above 0.70 for all key constructs, with Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values exceeding 0.50, indicating strong internal consistency and validity. These findings emphasize that ethical awareness and trust are critical determinants in fostering AI adoption in education. The study provides actionable insights for policymakers, educators, and technology developers to design training programs and guidelines that address ethical considerations, thereby ensuring responsible and sustainable AI integration in educational environments.
