Abstract

الغرض لهذا البحث هو تحليل مهارة تلاميذ المدرسة العالية لمعهد السلطان حسن الدين بمنطقة غووا في فهم العدد والمعدود واستخدامه. وهذا البحث بحث ميداني باستخدام طريقة جمع البيانات وطريقة تحليل البيانات؛ ففي جمع البيانات استخدم الباحثون الطريقة الوثيقية والاختبار والملاحظة والمقابلة؛ وفي تحليل البيانات استخدموا الطريقة الوصفية الكمية. ويستفاد من نتائج البحث أن مهارة تلاميذ المدرسة العالية لمعهد السلطان حسن الدين بمنطقة غووا في فهم العدد والمعدود واستخدامه في مرتبة "جيد جدا". ويستنتج أن هناك بعض العوامل التي تؤثر مهارة التلاميذ وهي من العوامل المؤيدة مثل البيئة اللغوية وتشجيع المدرسين والطرق المستخدمة ومن العوامل المعوقة مثل صعوبة بعض التلاميذ المتخرجين من المدرسة العامة وعدم الثقة بالنفس وميل التلاميذ إلى معرفة المادة ولا يميلون إلى استخدامها أو يستخدمونها بقاعدة غير مناسبة.

Abstract

This research critically analyzes Imam al-Ṭabarī’s interpretive positions in Jāmiʿ al-Bayān ʿan Taʾwīl Āy al-Qurʾān, particularly where his methodology diverges from conventional Qur’anic exegesis. While renowned for his tradition-based approach (tafsīr bi al-maʾthūr), al-Ṭabarī occasionally questions mutawātir readings or employs figurative interpretations without explicit linguistics or contextual grounds. Employing a descriptive-inductive method, this research examines his views within the frameworks of qirāʾāt, uṣūl al-fiqh, and Arabic linguistics. The findings portray al-Ṭabarī as a balanced scholar who harmonized transmitted knowledge with rational inquiry. His interpretive model exemplifies intellectual moderation and offers a foundation for revitalizing Qur’anic studies through evidence-based engagement that bridges classical heritage with contemporary critical discourse. The research concludes that al-Ṭabarī’s approach embodies intellectual moderation, promoting an evidence-based engagement with classical tafsīr that preserves scholarly heritage while addressing contemporary academic and religious needs. الملخّص تتناول هذه الدراسةُ جملةً من آراء الإمام الطبري التفسيرية في كتابه "جامع البيان عن تأويل آي القرآن" تناولًا نقديًّا، مع التركيز على المواضع التي أثارت إشكالات منهجية تتعلّق بموقفه من القراءات القرآنية، والقواعد الأصولية، والدلالات اللغوية. فعلى الرغم من أن الطبري يُعدّ من أبرز رموز التفسير بالمأثور، فإنّ بعض آرائه خالف ما استقرّ عليه جمهور العلماء، كتضعيفه لبعض القراءات المتواترة، أو حمله لبعض الألفاظ على المعنى المجازي دون قرينة صارفة عن المعنى الحقيقة. وتعتمد هذه الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي الاستقرائي، بجمع الأقوال وتوثيقها من المصادر الأصيلة، ثم تحليلها في ضوء القواعد الأصولية واللغوية المعتمدة، مع الرجوع إلى كتب التفسير والقراءات والنحو. وتهدف الدراسة إلى إبراز شخصية الطبري كمفسر يتّسم بالوسطية والاعتدال في الفكر، يجمع بين النقد والتحليل، ويوازن بين الرواية والدراية، مما يُبرز أهمية منهجه في قراءة النصوص بعيدًا عن التقليد أو التقديس غير المعلّل. وتخلص الدراسة إلى الدعوة إلى إحياء المنهج العلمي النقدي في التعامل مع التراث التفسيري، بما يُسهم في تجديد علوم التفسير وربطها بمتطلبات العصر. Abstrak Penelitian ini menganalisis secara kritis posisi interpretatif Imam al-Ṭabarī dalam Jāmi‘ al-Bayān ‘an Ta’wīl Āy al-Qur’ān, khususnya di mana metodologinya menyimpang dari tafsir Al-Qur’an konvensional. Meskipun terkenal dengan pendekatan berbasis tradisi (tafsir bi al-maʾthūr), al-Ṭabarī terkadang mempertanyakan pembacaan mutawātir atau menggunakan interpretasi figuratif tanpa linguistik eksplisit atau landasan kontekstual. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-induktif, penelitian ini mengkaji pandangannya dalam kerangka qirāʾāt, uṣūl al-fiqh, dan linguistik Arab. Temuan-temuan ini menggambarkan al-Ṭabarī sebagai seorang ulama yang seimbang yang menyelaraskan pengetahuan yang disampaikan dengan penyelidikan rasional. Model interpretatifnya mencontohkan moderasi intelektual dan menawarkan landasan bagi revitalisasi studi Al-Qur'an melalui keterlibatan berbasis bukti yang menjembatani warisan klasik dengan wacana kritis kontemporer. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan al-Ṭabarī mewujudkan moderasi intelektual, mendorong keterlibatan berbasis bukti dengan tafsir klasik yang melestarikan warisan keilmuan sekaligus menjawab kebutuhan akademis dan keagamaan kontemporer.

Abstract

Kajian ini adalah mengenai peranan Neurosains dalam pembelajaran hafazan Al-Qur’an dan hubungannya dalam kaedah hafazan Al-Qur’an Siyaq. Namun begitu masih didapati kebanyakkan para penghafaz kurang mengambil berat tentang kegunaan Neurosains dalam pembelajaran hafazan Al-Qur’an. Selain daripada itu, kaedah hafazan yang digunakan sekarang tertumpu kepada kaedah hafazan Al- Qur’an sahaja tanpa dihubungkaitkan dengan Neurosains. Oleh itu, tujuan kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk mengenal pasti hubungkait antara Neurosains dan kaedah hafazan Al- Qur’an Siyaq. Selain daripada itu, kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peranan Neurosains dalam peningkatan prestasi hafazan. Bagi mencapai tujuan tersebut, kajian ini dijalankan dalam reka bentuk kajian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metodologi kajian kepustakaan untuk menjawab objektif kajian ini. Hasil daripada kajian ini mendapati bahawa terdapat hubungkait antara Neurosains dan kaedah hafazan Al-Qur’an Siyaq. Dengan memahami hubungkait antara neurosains dan hafazan Al-Qur’an dapat membantu penghafaz untuk meningkatkan lagi mutu hafazan.

Abstract

This study examines the perceptions and attitudes of the Muslim community in Brunei Darussalam regarding the official development of the 10 Qirā’āt profile for the foundational Qur'anic chapters, Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Yasin. These two Surahs are central to daily Muslim devotion, necessitating an understanding of the legal status (Hukm) and standardization of their authenticated recitation variations ('Ilm Qirā’āt). Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected using a questionnaire administered to 69 respondents to assess their levels of awareness, knowledge, interest, and views towards this profiling initiative. The findings indicate a significant dichotomy: while respondents generally exhibit a moderate level of knowledge regarding the specific variations within 'Ilm Qirā’āt, they overwhelmingly express a strong interest and positive attitude towards the Qirā’āt profiling effort. A substantial majority of the community supports the dissemination and formal introduction of the profile across various platforms, specifically highlighting mass media channels for wider reach. The implications suggest a clear mandate for structured, collaborative action. Religious authorities, educational institutions, and media entities must systematically coordinate promotional and educational programs to bridge the existing knowledge gap. Such efforts are crucial not only for preserving the authoritative knowledge of the Qirā’āt tradition but also for ensuring its accurate practice, thereby strengthening the Bruneian Muslim community's comprehensive appreciation of the Holy Qur'an.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the internalisation of religious moderation at Al-Istiqamah Modern Islamic Boarding School through Islamic classical texts (kitab kuning) instruction amid religious polarisation and contemporary educational demands. The research addresses a gap in previous studies by presenting the integration of traditional and modern methods, a tiered curriculum, and social interaction within the pesantren as contributing factors in shaping moderate attitudes, including freedom in choosing a mazhab, tolerance, and openness. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. This study collected data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analysed them through data reduction, data presentation, and verification stages. The findings reveal that kitab kuning learning in this institution is conducted formally in the classroom by modifying traditional methods into modern approaches based on the Tarbiyatul Muallimin al-Islamiyah curriculum. The materials include classical kitab and miniature kitab kuning covering fiqh, usul fiqh, hadith, tafsir, Arabic language, and other Islamic sciences. This process significantly contributes to fostering students' moderate attitudes, as reflected in their freedom to choose a school of thought, tolerance toward differing opinions, decisiveness in religious choices, and openness to interacting with various Islamic organisations. The study offers originality by demonstrating that moderation is shaped not only through curricular content but also through social interaction, teacher role modelling, and students’ autonomy in choosing a school of thought. It also opens pathways for future research, including comparative studies among Islamic boarding schools or investigations into the sustainability of moderation values among alums.

Abstract

This study examines the Qur’anic concept of iṭ‘ām al-ṭa‘ām as a normative and operational ethic for social policy, analyzing its relevance to Indonesia’s national Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program launched in 2025. Responding to persistent challenges in child nutrition and food security, exemplified by 21.5% stunting prevalence in SSGI 2023, the study addresses structural inequalities in access to nutrition highlighted by the Global Nutrition Report 2024. Employing a thematic Qur’anic exegesis (tafsīr mawḍū‘ī), the research integrates lexical–semantic analyses of feeding-related verses, Makkiyah–Madaniyah contextualization, and classical and modern exegetical insights, operationalized via maqāṣid al-sharīʿah and the Capability Approach. Findings reveal that Qur’anic discourses on iṭ‘ām al-ṭa‘ām articulate not only distributive justice and protection of vulnerable populations but also the mechanisms through which institutional design, governance, and community practices shape the realization of human capabilities. This framework allows a critical assessment of MBG’s transformative impact beyond logistical delivery, providing evidence-based guidance for ethically coherent and socially effective nutrition policies. The study contributes methodologically by advancing an Applied Social Exegesis model that bridges Qur’anic ethics with contemporary policy evaluation.

Abstract

The phenomenon of contract marriage (nikah kontrak) in Cianjur Regency has emerged as a significant legal and socio-religious issue within Indonesian society, attracting both national and international scholarly attention. This study is driven by two core research questions: (1) How is Regent Regulation No. 38 of 2021 implemented in addressing the practice of contract marriage? and (2) To what extent does this regulation reflect and uphold the objectives of Islamic law (Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah)? The research aims to critically examine the legal implementation and social impact of the regulation, particularly on individuals involved in contract marriages. Employing a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical and case-study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with contract marriage actors, community leaders, and government officials. The findings reveal that contract marriages in Cianjur occur through various forms of informal or semi-formal arrangements often without legal guardians or witnesses, or with invalid ones thereby fulfilling only the outward form of marriage without generating legal consequences such as the obligation of ʿiddah. From the Sunni legal perspective, such practices are considered invalid, whereas in the Shiʿa Imamiyah tradition, they may resemble nikah mutʿah under specific conditions. The persistence of contract marriage is influenced by internal factors (economic necessity, cultural accommodation) and external factors (social tolerance and weak enforcement). Although Regent Regulation No. 38/2021 seeks to curb the practice, its implementation has yet to produce a substantial deterrent effect. Within the broader global discourse on Islamic legal reform, this study underscores the necessity of integrating normative Islamic legal principles with contextual socio-legal realities. A more comprehensive strategy combining legal enforcement, community education, and theological engagement is essential to safeguard the higher objectives of Islamic law and protect vulnerable parties in marital relations.
