Abstract

The purpose of the KKN-PPM program is to increase the knowledge of the breeders about a proper duck raising system. The method of implementation in the field includes counseling, training and assistance, and program monitoring and evaluation. The evaluation phase is carried out on the performance of students by measuring the effective working hours of students (JKEM) which include the main activities, individual and social, and measuring the level of technology adoption by farmers using questionnaires and interviews. Interviews were conducted with 45 members of farmer groups, interviewed with questionnaire guidelines. The results of the KKN-PPM activities are that each participant has spent an effective amount of student work totaling 169 hours consisting of main activities 86 hours (± 50 percent), for individual activities of 52 hours (± 30 percent) and social activities of 31 hours (± 20 percent). The highest adoption rate of breeders was in the types of livestock raising activities 95.56 percent and livestock health 88.89% while for fermentation, hatching and egg processing activities the adoption rates were 62.22 percent, 66.67 percent and 77.77 percent. The level of adoption of farmers for the technology provided is influenced by factors in the agricultural system they live in, there are other social activities that affect the availability of time to carry out their farming activities and whether there are additional costs if they use the technology. How to cite:Malelak, G. Abstract

  Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah memperkenalkan  produk olahan daging babi yaitu se’i dan kerupuk kulit babi untuk memotivasi peternak memulai usaha pengolahan daging babi, mampu berinovasi dan terdorong untuk memulai usaha kuliner yang mempunyai peluang besar untuk dikembangkan di Kabupaten Malaka.  Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini  penyuluhan dan Pelatihan  Kegiatan pendampingan dan evaluasi oleh pengurus DPW Kabupaten Malaka yang selalu berkomunikasi dengan nara sumber dari UNDANA sehingga hubungan kerja sama antara 2 belah pihak terus berjalan.  Kegiatan penyuluhan diikuti oleh semua peserta  yang berpartisipasi aktif, ditandai dengan  tanya jawab/ diskusi selama proses penyuluhan terutama tentang kerjasama antar anggota kelompok dan bagaimana cara menghitung keuntungan dan bagaimana  pembagian keuntungan  diantara anggota kelompok.   Beberapa hal yang didapati dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk pengolahan se’i perlu dmenggunakan daging babi dengan kandungan lemak yang rendah sehingga akn menghasilkan rendemen yang tinggi. Dalam pelatihan ini jenis rendemen se’i sebesar ±54% dengan proporsi lemak sekitar ±25%.  Proporsi lemak ini cukup tinggi dan dapat mempengaruhi harga jual se’i.  Dalam pengolahn kerupuk kulit hal-hal yang perlu diperhatikan adalah; ketebalan lemak pada kulit,  penjemuran kulit, proses ungkep dan penggorengan karena akan mempengaruhi daya kembang, rasa gurih dan kerenyahan kerupuk. Hasil pelatihan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengolahan se’i babi ini memberi nuansa baru pada peserta untuk memulai melakukannya secara komersial.  Ketrampilan yang terus dilatih diperlukan untuk menghasilkan kerupuk kulit babi ini yang berkualitas baik, sesuai standar kerupuk; kembang, gurih dan renyah, sebelum produk ini diusahakan secara komersial.--------------Kata Kunci: pelatihan, se’i babi, kerupuk kulit babi

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk melatih peserta tentang pengolahan daging babi menjadi se’i  dimulai dengan cara pemilihan bahan baku, pemilihan bahan tambahan yang akan digunakan, proses pengolahan serta cara pengemasan yang baik. Materi pelatihan ini meliputi mengolah daging babi menjadi se’i ( isi, kulit dan rusuk) untuk menyediakan diversifikasi pangan keluarga dan menyemarakkan dunia kuliner di lingkungan Kabupaten Sabu Raijua (Sarai).  Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut di atas adalah melalui penyuluhan, praktek atau kegiatan percontohan cara pengolahan daging babi, kegiatan pendampingan dan evaluasi.  Peserta pelatihan adalah ibu-ibu kelompok PKK Pemda Sabu Raijua. Pemilihan jenis ternak babi, pemilihan jenis bahan tambahan,  cara pengolahan dan pengasapan se’i babi adalah materi yang diberikan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini.  Hasil kerja pada kegiatan pendampingan dan evaluasi digunakan oleh tim PKK Kabupaten Sarai untuk menentukan kebijakan program-program PKK selanjutnya serta program pelatihan pengolahan hasil ternak pada tahun-tahun berikutnya. ____________________ Kata kunci: se’i isi, se’i rusuk dan se’i kulit, pelatihan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of complete feed with different ratio of rice straw and concentrate on chemical body composition doe Bligon goat. Animals used in this study is doe Bligon goat as many 12 heads doe with the age range of 8-12 months, the range weight from 7.8 to 18.2 kg (12.2±22.5). The experimental design used was randomized block design with 3 treatments and 4 groups (replicates). Use rations consisting of rice straw and concentrate with the following formula: R1 = 80% rice straw : 20% concentrate; R2 = 70% rice straw : 30% concentrate; R3 = 60% rice straw : 40% concentrate. Measurements the chemical body composition is done on live animals using the "Urea Space" on technique. The variables measured were the percentage of water, fat, protein and minerals the body. The result of research showed that there was no significant difference between treatment of chemical body composition both the percentage of water, fat, protein and minerals the body of doe Bligon goat. From this research can be concluded the provision of complete feed with rice straw and concentrate ratio of 80:20 can meet the needs of livestock. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan komplit dengan rasio jerami padi dan konsentrat yang berbeda terhadap komposisi kimia tubuh kambing Bligon betina. Ternak yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kambing Bligon betina sebanyak 12 ekor dengan umur 8 – 12 bulan, kisaran berat badan awal 7,8 – 18,2 kg (12,2±22,5). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan menggunakan 3 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok (ulangan). Ransum yang digunakan terdiri dari jerami padi dan konsentrat dengan formula sebagai berikut: R1 = jerami padi 80% : konsentrat 20% ; R2 = jerami padi 70% : konsentrat 30% ; R3 = jerami padi 60% : konsentrat 40%. Pengukuran komposisi kimia tubuh dilakukan pada ternak hidup menggunakan teknik “Urea Space”. Variabel yang diukur antara lain persentase air, lemak, protein dan mineral tubuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata antara perlakuan terhadap komposisi kimia tubuh baik persentase air, lemak, protein dan mineral tubuh kambing Bligon betina. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pakan komplit dengan rasio jerami padi dan konsentrat 80:20 dapat mencukupi kebutuhan dari ternak

Abstract

The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effect subsitutional of corn fodder on intake and fiber digestibility, volatile fatty acid and blood glucose concentration of weaned Ongole x Brahman calves. This experiment followed a 4x4 latin square design with four treatments, i.e. G : 100% nature grass silage, GCF1 : 35% nature grass silage, 35% corn fodder silage and 30% concentrate, GCF2 : 17,5% nature grass silage, 52,5% corn fodder and 30% concentrate, GCF3 : 70% corn fodder and 30% concentrate. The measured variables included fiber intake and digestibility, volatile fatty acid and blood glucose concentration. Data were subjected to Analysis of Variance (Anova) followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test to separate between means with SPSS 21. Result showed that fiber intake was significantly (P<0.05) lower in GCF3 (299,88 g.d-1) compared to the other treatments which varied between 661,55 to 1293,95 g.d-1. Fiber digestibility, however, did not differ (P>0.05) between treatments, i.e. varied between 55,95 to 72,65%. Volatile Fatty Acid concentration increased (P<0.05) with the increasing levels substitutions of corn fodder in feed. The treatments did not affect (P>0.05) blood glucose concentration of Ongole calves. It can be concluded that substitution of corn fodder for native grass silage has significant effect on fiber intake and Volatile Fatty Acid concentration but not on fiber digestibility and blood glucose concentration of weaned cross Ongole calves.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determined the effect of lemongrass powder as a natural antibiotic on intake and digestibility of DM, OM, CP and TDN of females Kacang goat fed hay Kume grass. Four female kacang goats with 6-10 months old and initial body weight of 10 kg was used. Experiment research method was used with latin square design 4x4 as reseach design. The treatments, i.e. 70% hay + 30% concentrate + lemongrass powder with different levels, 70% hay kume grass + 30% concentrate + S0, S0 + 10gr lemongrass powder = S10; S0 + 20gr lemongrass powder = S20; S0 + 30gr lemongrass powder = S30; Data was analysed used anova and the data showed significant was tasted with Duncan. The variabels measured were intake and digestibility dry matter, organic matter, crude protein and total digestible nutrient. The result showed that lemon grass powder providing as concentrate component was followed by increase of dry and organic matter consumption, crude protein consumption and digestibility, while digestibility of dry and organic matter and true digestible nutrient was decrease. Statistical analysis showed that the treatment had significant effect (P<0,05) on crude protein digestibility, while no significant effect (P>0,05) on intake and digestibility of dry and organic matter, crude protein consumtion and total diigestble nutrient. It can be concluded that lemon grass powder providing with different levels had the same effect on consumption and digestibility of nutrients except digestibility value of crude protein.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing fermented gliciridia fallen leaf and banana stem in complete feed with different level on crude fiber intake and digestibility, intake of digestible crude fiber, VFA concentration and blood glucose levels of kacang goat. This study used 4 male goats with age under one year, average body weight of 10.5 kg. The research used latin square design with 4 periods and 4 treatments, which consisted of P70S0, P40S30, P30S40, P0S70. The parameters observed were crude fiber intake and digestibility, intake of digestible crude fiber, VFA concentration and blood glucose levels. The results showed that the provision of complete gliciridia fallen leaf and banana stems with different level had no significant difference (P> 0.05) on crude fiber intake and digestibility, ingested digestive fiber consumption, blood glucose concentrations. However, feeding goats with a complete feed of gliciridia fallen leaf and banana stems with different levels had significantly increased ​​(P <0.01) VFA concentration. Therefore, it can be concluded that providing goats with fermented complete feed of gliciridia fallen leaf and banana stem did not increase the value of crude fiber consumption and digestibility, consumption of undigested crude fiber and blood glucose levels but was able to increase VFA concentration

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect ofsupplemented mixed silage of sorghum-Clitoriaternatea with different levels of concentrate containing ZnSO4 and Zn-Cu Isoleusinate on rumen fermentation of kacang goats. Twelve buck kacang goats aged 12-14 months with initial body weight ranged 11-19 kg andthe average was 14,40 kg while 14,93% coefficient of variation was used in this reseach. Methode used was experiment methode with block randomized design as research design consist of four treatments and three replication. The treatmenten were T1 = mixed silage of sorghum-Clitoriaternatea providing, T1, T2 and T3 was T1 supplemen by concentrate with level of 10, 20 and 30 % containing of 150 mg ZnSO4 and 2% Zn-Cu Isoleusinat respectively. Parameter measured was rumen pH value, NH3 and total of VFA concentration. The data obtained was analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and followed by Least Significant Different test. The results of statistical analysis showed that supplementation with various levels of concentrates containing 150 mg ZnSO4 and 2% Zn-Cu Isoleucine had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on rumen pH and NH3 concentration, while significantly efect (P <0.05) on VFA totalt. It can be concluded that supplementation with various concentrates containing ZnSO4 and Zn-Cu Isoleucicate produced relatively the same pH and NH3 and VFA tended to increase, with the best concentration of concentrate supplementation at 30%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal addition of various levels of concentrate containing ZnSO4 and Zn-Cu isoleusinat against the use of protein that consumes sorghum-kembang telang silage in goats kacang. This study used 12 goats Kacang with an average body weight of 14.40 kg (KV = 14.93%). This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The four treatments were T1 = Silage sorghum-kembang telang ad libitium, and T2, T3, T4 = T1 + concentrate with levels of 10%, 20% and 30% respectively containing 150 mg ZnSO4 and 2% Zn-Cu Isoleucine. The parameters observed were PK consumption, PK digestibility, and blood urea concentration. The results showed that the addition of various levels of concentrate containing ZnSO4 and Zn-Cu isoleusinat which was optimal for the use of protein that consumed sorghum-kembang telang silage in goats Kacang had a significant effect (P <0.05) on crude protein consumption, but had no significant effect (P <0.05) on crude protein digestibility and blood urea concentration. The conclusion is that the addition of various levels of concentrate containing ZnSO4 and Zn-Cu isoleusinat which is optimal for the use of protein that consumes sorghum-kembang telang silage in goats Kacang is found in T4 treatment as much as 30%.

Abstract

The research was to determine the effect of adding concentrate containing 150 mg ZnSO4 and 2% ZnCu Isoleucinate on the blood biochemistry of kacang goat consuming sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (l) Moench) - Bunga telang (Clitoria ternatea) silage rations. Using 12 kacang goats aged 13-14 months, with an average initial body weight of 14.40 Kg, KV: 14.93%. This study was designed using a randomized block design (RAK) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The four treatments studied were T1: Silage (adlibitum) without concentrate containing 150 mg ZnSO4 and 20% ZnCu Isoleucinate; T2: Silage (adlibitum) + 10% concentrate containing 150 mg ZnSO4 and 2% ZnCu Isoleucine; T3: Silage (adlibitum) + 20% concentrate containing 150 mg ZnSO4 and 2 % ZnCu Isoleucinate; T4: Silage (adlibitum) + 30% concentrate containing 150 mg ZnSO4 and 2% ZnCu Isoleucinate. The parameters observed consisted of: hemoglobin levels, erythrocytes, hematocrit, total plasma protein and leukocytes. Data was analysed used analysis of variance (ANOVA) and if it had a significant effect, continued with the BNT test to determine the difference between treatments (SPSS 21). The results of statistical tests showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on erythrocyte levels and hematocrit levels, but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on hemoglobin levels, total plasma protein levels and leukocyte levels. At the level of addition of 10% concentrate is the best for increasing erythrocytes and hematocrit of peanut goat.
