<![CDATA[The implementation of the COVID-19 protocol was carried out as part of an effort to revive the economy that slumped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Public awareness in implementing COVID-19 protocols is important in the New Normal life rules. This service activity helps the community to carry out an independent assessment of the risk of spreading and transmitting the COVID-19 virus. Also, it provides education and raises awareness to the public regarding health protocols. This method uses the InaRISK Personal application developed by the National Disaster Management Agency or Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB). The community as respondents is helped to obtain an independent assessment by filling in the answers to the questionnaire into the InaRISK Personal application. The results showed that 57.2% had low-risk status, 40.3% medium risk, and 2.5% high-risk status. Some of the behaviors that have the potential to increase the risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus are 89% of respondents touching money and 86.3% traveling for the risk of contracting outside the home, 55.5% of respondents do not provide hand sanitizers at home for the risk of contracting at home, 46, 8% of respondents did not drink vitamins C and E and lack of sleep for risks related to immunity. The conclusion is that the public still needs to increase awareness in carrying out health protocols to reduce the risk of spreading and transmitting the COVID-19 virus.DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/abdimas.v5i3.5004]]>

<![CDATA[Bisnis laundry karpet menjadi sebuah bentuk wirausaha yang potensial dikembangkan di daerah perkotaan.Peningkatan kualitas produk jasa dan produktivitasnya menjadi daya saing bagi bisnis laundry karpet. Kendalaproses pencucian dan pengeringan karpet menjadi hambatan bagi bisnis laundry karpet di musim penghujan.Selain itu, kendala tenaga kerja dan ketersediaan ruang untuk pengeringan muncul bagi bisnis laundry karpetdi perkotaan. Program IbM ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan masalah operasional yang dihadapi oleh bisnislaundry karpet agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan jasa dan produktivitasnya. Metode yang diterapkanadalah perbaikan teknologi pencucian dan pengeringan karpet dengan mesin spinning carpet serta manajemenoperasional dalam bisnis laundry karpet. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan operasi secara teknis setelahmenggunakan mesin spinning carpet 3 kali lebih cepat dan pengelolaan manajemen lebih baik. Workshopteknologi mesin spinning carpet, manajemen operasional dan bisnis kepada mitra bisnis laundry karpet sangatberperan dalam mengembangkan usaha bisnis yang lebih baik. <![CDATA[Desa Mayangan Kecamatan Panggungrejo Kota Pasuruan merupakan lokasi IKM Pengecoran pembuatan baling-baling kapal nelayan dengan cara melebur skrap aluminium di dalam dapur peleburan selanjutnya dituang ke dalam cetakan pasir kemudian dibiarkan sampai membeku. Temuan masalah dari hasil bimtek meliputi: cacat rongga udara disebabkan penggunaan model cawan tuang dan saluran turun yang langsung digunakan pada cetakan pasir, udara atau gas panas dari cetakan pasir atau logam cair skrap aluminium tidak dapat keluar melalui rongga antara butir-butir pasir saat proses penuangan, pasir sungai berbentuk butir pasir kristal dapat mempengaruhi ketahanan api dan permeabilitas yang buruk pada cetakan pasir akibatnya membutuhkan pengikat dalam jumlah banyak, dan kadar air pada pasir sungai kurang dari 1,5% - 8% akibatnya lempung akan mengalami kekurangan daya ikat untuk mengikat pasir sungai. Kesimpulan meliputi : cacat rongga udara dapat dikurangi dengan memasang saluran tuang tipe offset stepped basin agar turbulensi saat penuangan logam cair dapat berkurang, meningkatkan permeabilitas pasir sungai agar udara atau gas panas yang berasal dari cetakan pasir atau logam cair skrap aluminium dapat keluar melalui rongga antara butir-butir pasir saat proses penuangan, butir pasir sungai yang digunakan berbentuk bulat agar kebutuhan pengikat lebih sedikit, sehingga diperoleh kekuatan dan permeabilitas yang optimun serta memperbaiki sifat mampu alir. <![CDATA[The workshop delivered to the anti-waste activists in Kelurahan Rampal Celaket, Kecamatan Klojen, Malang, is a community service program initiated by the Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering University of Merdeka Malang in collaboration with the Research and Community Service of IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Plastic products caused environmental issues due to its slow decomposition rate by microorganisms, especially after being disregarded or buried in the ground. Even though the movement to reduce the use of plastic has been widely promoted, Indonesians in general do not have enough understanding of the environmental problems caused by plastic waste. In addition, the public also lacks the understanding of several other matters, including a) the properties of thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers, b) the alternative ways to reuse plastic waste as handicrafts or plastic pellets as secondary materials for plastic products. The results of preliminary observation indicated that the community need a workshop program on plastic waste management, types of recyclable plastic, and the impact of reusing plastic waste through lecture and discussion methods. <![CDATA[Uji coba dapur pemanas terbuka dengan ukuran panjang 1100 mm, lebar 900 mm, tinggi 700 mm dan dinding terbuat dari bahan bata tahan api dan bata merah mampu menghasilkan temperatur panas 9250 C dibanding dengan dapur pemanas tertutup hanya mampu menghasilkan temperatur panas 7200C. Hasil uji kekerasan setelah logam ditempa panas dan dilanjutkan proses pendinginan oli, angka kekerasan tertinggi pada pendinginan oli SAE 40 sebesar 88 HRB dan angka kekerasan terendah pada pendinginan oli SAE 140 sebesar 85 HRB. Angka kekerasan semakin menurun disebabkan viskositas oli semakin kental, akibatnya laju pendinginan semakin lambat dan besar butirnya semakin kasar, sehingga logam mudah ditempa panas. Pengamatan struktur mikro pada bagian permukaan logam hasil tempa panas pendinginan oli dengan pembesaran 200 x secara umum lebih dominan terbentuk fasa ferit dibanding fasa perlit dan bagian melintang logam hasil tempa panas pendinginan oli dengan pembesaran 200 x, secara umum baja karbon rendah dan baja karbon tinggi telah menyatu. Fasa ferit sifatnya ulet, kekerasannya rendah dan fasa perlit sifatnya keras tetapi getas. Pada pendinginan oli tidak terbentuk fasa martensit yang sifatnya sangat keras dan getas, hal ini disebabkan pada saat proses pendinginan seluruh jenis oli fasa austenit tidak dapat bertransformasi menjadi fasa martensit. <![CDATA[The tourism sector has been targeted to be a tool that may develop people’s economies. Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Sukowilangun Berseri is a community that develops Taman Suko at Sukowilangun, Kalipare, Malang Regency. However, the increasing number of tourism effects for the local community at Sukowilangun can still be categorized at a low level. Besides, the management capabilities and resources of the local community in developing Taman Suko as a local tourist destination have not been able to attract more tourists. We carry out a community service program through diversifying our business with the implementation of an aquaponics system to increase income derived from tourism management, providing assistance in efforts to develop tourism potential, and empowering local community-based communities at Taman Suko. The results of this program were implementing an aquaponics system as a business diversification as well as an education theme for tourists on how freshwater fish and vegetables are bred, developing some tourism support facilities such as photo spot, pathways, and fish pond, and promoting local culinary business through social media and a video profile.]]>

<![CDATA[The covid-19 pandemic initiates the emergence of the social distancing concept and the implementation of health protocols. This also happens in worship places, which are public places and are at risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus. For such reason, strict health protocols need to be carried out when washing hands with hand sanitizer. The use of hand sanitizers is believed to be able to kill viruses well, but manual spraying can increase the spread of the virus. This program aims to make automatic hand sanitizer spraying devices placed in front of the Attawwaabiin Mosque entrance, Pisang Candi Village, Malang City. The implementation method consisted of program observation and the manufacture of an automatic hand sanitizer spraying device, including the preparation of tools and components, the assembly stage, the trial and repair stage, and the stage of providing tools to partners. The result of this program is a tool that is specially assembled so that the spraying of hand sanitizer can be done automatically without touching other media so that it can help reduce the spread of the virus so that the congregation of the mosque can carry out their worship with a sense of security and comfort.]]>

<![CDATA[As one of the important components, hydrants must be present in the boiler plant, whose function is to extinguish the fire in the event of a fire incident in the area. The working principle of the hydrant system is that when an event of fire occurs, the suction pump will take water from the ground reservoir, later on the water will flow into the pipe leading to the pillar hydrant, and the fire hose will be disconnected from the pillar hydrant to extinguish the burning area. The issue needs to be solved in this research is to design a hydrant piping system in the boiler area of PT Mekabox Internasional that meets the standards used by the industries. The purpose of designing this hydrant piping system is to find out how much flow is in the hydrant if the boiler plant area has an area of 2016 m2, how thick the pipe should be, and how many pillar hydrants are necessary. The scope of the research discussion includes hydrant piping systems, hydrant piping calculations, and standards used in hydrant piping systems. The results of the calculation and data processing of this hydrant system design are; the number of pillar hydrants needed in an area of 2016 m2 is 2 pillar hydrants, the required water discharge is 432 m3 with the assumption that the blackout time is 2 hours, and the pipe diameter required is 6 inches and must have a pipe thickness of 6 mm. The results of the hydrant piping system design on the boiler plant can be applied directly to the company.]]>

<![CDATA[Penerapan protokol kesehatan di masyarakat pada masa pandemi Covid-19 saat ini masih terkendala dan belum efektif. Rendahnya tingkat kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat dalam penerapan protokol kesehatan merupakan faktor utamanya. Masyarakat belum sepenuhnya menerima dan menerapkan aturan protokol kesehatan sebagai bentuk budaya baru yang harus diterapkan dalam tatanan New Normal. Dampak terpuruknya sektor ekonomi juga merupakan faktor yang memperburuk kondisi perekonomian masyarakat utamanya industri kecil dan UMKM. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam penerapan protokol kesehatan dan pemberdayaan bagi UMKM pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah: 1). membuat video tutorial sebagai sarana sosialisasi dan edukasi promosi kesehatan, 2). Membuat video company profile untuk membantu promosi industri kecil dan UMKM. Penyebarluasan video tutorial dan company profile UMKM melalui media sosial Youtube merupakan cara yang efektif dalam penyampaian informasi di dalamnya. Konten yang menarik dan interaktif yang mudah dipahami menjadi kunci keberhasilan penyebaran informasi melalui media sosial. Selain itu ketertarikan masyarakat utamanya generasi milenial dalam mengakses informasi di media sosial menjadi faktor pendukung keberhasilan penyampaian informasi tersebut.]]>

<![CDATA[The PKKM policy implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic had an effect on the decrease in tourism. Due to these losses, Coban Waru Waterfall's natural tourism management had to deal with abandoned tourist attractions. After the pandemic, there is a need to reintroduce and attract visitors to the Coban Waru waterfall natural tourist attraction. Through digital promotion, this activity aims to raise public awareness of Coban Waru waterfall natural tourism. The method consists of the use of digital media promotion and training in content creation. As a result of this activity, a profile video and a leaflet titled "Promotion of Coban Waru Waterfall Nature Tourism" were posted on the social media platforms YouTube and Instagram. Through digital marketing, it is possible to bring new tourist attractions to the public's attention.]]>
