Abstract

This study examines the logistics management of medical equipment at RSUD Undata Palu, a regional referral hospital in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, over the period 2019–2024. The research explores six key components: planning, procurement, storage, distribution, disposal, and control. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. Findings show that while digital integration has improved procurement transparency and semi automated distribution processes, challenges remain in real time inventory monitoring, inadequate storage conditions, delayed equipment disposal, and limited user engagement with digital tools. Storage constraints and bureaucratic hurdles in disposal processes further compromise logistical efficiency. These gaps affect the availability, reliability, and timeliness of medical services, underlining the strategic importance of logistics in healthcare delivery. The study highlights the need for holistic reform through integrated digital systems, performance tracking, and institutional capacity building. By contextualizing these findings within broader policy and technological frameworks, this research offers practical insights for strengthening logistics governance in developing healthcare systems.

Abstract

This research discusses the application of restorative justice in handling theft cases in the Sukabumi Police District. Restorative justice emphasises the restoration of relationships between perpetrators, victims, and society, in contrast to traditional criminal law approaches that focus more on sanctions. Using a normative juridical method, this research evaluates various obstacles in the implementation of restorative justice, such as a lack of understanding from law enforcement officials and resistance to system change. In addition, there are difficulties in achieving peace between offenders and victims, as well as the absence of legal regulations at the statutory level that fully support this concept. The research findings revealed that the implementation of restorative justice in Sukabumi jurisdiction is still structurally and procedurally constrained. Therefore, further efforts are needed to increase the understanding and awareness of the authorities and the community of the benefits of this approach to achieve fairer and humanity-focused settlements. This research is expected to contribute to the development of fairer and more effective legal policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is as a technological development to encourage the need for a more practical and portable soldering iron. This research aims to design and build a soldering iron that uses battery power, so that it can be used in various locations without relying on conventional electricity sources. The design method includes the selection of main components such as heating elements, lithium-ion batteries and battery safety systems. The assembly process is carried out by considering energy efficiency, safety, and user comfort. The test results show that the battery-based solder is able to reach an optimal working temperature of 277.75 in 135 seconds and has a fairly long usage duration of 2.77 hours according to the 12V 9Ah battery capacity. This tool is considered quite effective for the needs of maintenance and repair of electronic devices in the field and facilitates user mobility.

Abstract

Criminal liability for perpetrators of passive money laundering, with a focus on the analysis of Decision Number 626/PIDSUS/2020/PN JKT.SEL. Passive money laundering refers to actions that are not directly related to the main crime but still play an important role in disguising the origin of the proceeds of crime. This study uses a normative legal method, with analysis of legislation, court decisions, and related legal literature. Law No. 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering Crimes is the main legal basis for regulating money laundering, both active and passive. Article 5 paragraph (1) of this law stipulates that perpetrators of passive money laundering can be subject to criminal sanctions if they are proven to have received, controlled, or used assets that are known or reasonably suspected to be derived from criminal acts. In addition, the system of evidence in money laundering cases applies the principle of reverse burden of proof, whereby the defendant must prove that their assets are not the proceeds of crime. In the case analysed, the Panel of Judges ruled that the defendant was legally and convincingly proven to have committed the passive money laundering crime by trading accounts and using those accounts for illegal transactions, including online gambling. This ruling emphasises the importance of strict law enforcement in dealing with passive money laundering crimes to support effective prevention and law enforcement efforts in Indonesia.

Abstract

Metabolic disorders are characterized by an increase in blood sugar due to a decrease in insulin secretion by pancreatic beta cells. Cells are unable to stimulate glucose absorption in muscle and fat tissue. The presence of GLUT-4 can increase the rate of glucose entry into insulin target tissues. The chlorogenic acid compound in robusta coffee beans is believed to lower blood glucose levels by activating GLUT-4. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of administering ethanol extract of robusta coffee beans (Coffea canephora Pierre ex A. Froehner) based on immunohistochemical examination of GLUT-4 protein expression in mice (Rattus norvegicus) with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. The research method included extraction by maceration with 96% ethanol: distilled water (3:7) solvent and immunohistochemical testing of the effect of ethanol extraction of Robusta coffee beans on mice. Rats were divided into 5 treatment groups, namely, Na-CMC 1%, metformin, 150 mg/kg BB, 300 mg/kg BB and 450 mg/kg BB and fed a high-fat diet for 6 months and immunohistochemical examination of skeletal muscle tissue was carried out. The results of immunohistochemical examination found that protein expression occurred in the positive control of coffee bean ethanol extract at doses of 150 mg/kg BB, 300 mg/kg BB and 450 mg/kg BB. The statistical test results show that the ethanol extract of robusta coffee beans at doses of 150 mg/kg BB, 300 mg/kg BB and 450 mg/kg BB is significant with the negative control      Na-CMC 1% but with the positive control metformin the three doses of ethanol extract of robusta coffee beans are not significant. From the discussion above, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of robusta coffee beans has an effect at doses of 300 mg/kg BB and 450 mg/kg BB

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low speaking skills of early childhood students. The use of conventional learning media is one of the causes necessitating technology adoption. This study aimed to analyze the effect of Chat-GPT integration based on opinion, reasoning, and information gap tasks on speaking skills. This study used a quasi-experimental research method involving 252 early childhood students. The three experimental groups received treatment in the form of the use of Chat-GPT in language teaching based on opinion, reasoning, and information gap tasks. All groups were tested on their initial speaking skills. The experimental group was given an intervention in opinion, reasoning, and information gap tasks, while the control group was given a traditional intervention to improve speaking skills. Data analysis was conducted using one-way ANOVA. The results showed that the experimental group in all three groups showed significant improvements in speaking skills compared to students in the control group in the posttest phase. The implications of this study demonstrate the transformative potential in English learning, especially in speaking skills. Using Chat-GPT as a supporting tool in communication-based task activities allows students to explore various perspectives, strengthen their reasoning skills, and organize information more logically and structured.
