Abstract

James W. Fowler is the originator of the Stages of Faith Theory. The level of faith development based on research conducted by Fowler is the structure, stages of faith development, and aspects that support so that every religious person does not stop at a low level of faith but can rise at a higher level and produce more mature humans . One of the targets of Fowler's research is adolescents. Teenagers are the age where children start trying to find their identity. Teen age is also a potential age in its development, both in terms of cognitive, emotional, and physical aspects. In addition, children at this age have a very high curiosity, one of which they begin to find out about the truth of the faith or beliefs that have been believed. Therefore, the perfect time to provide religious education at adolescence, so as to increase the development of adolescent faith to a higher stage so that they have an increasingly mature life and can also be responsible for the faith he has believed both for himself and for those who people around him. For that reason, in this article the author will discuss the stages of faith development, especially in adolescents according to the theory of James W. Fowler and their implications for Christian religious education in families, schools, and churches.

Abstract

Abstract. The radical transnational ideologies can easily attack and damage Christians’ youth in this digital era. The purpose of this study is to deliniate anticipatory-transformative Christian education and the significance of revitalizing the didaskalia function as the foundation for the Christian’s youth resilience in the transnationalism era. The method in this research was the literature study method. Through this research, it was found that the didaskalia function is very urgent to be revitalized in the context of the resilience of Christian’s youth in the midst of the swift currents of transnational ideology. As an anticipatory-transformative effort, Christian Education seeks to develop an accommodative and contextual education model to build a strong foundation of Christian’s youth, which will enable them to face the complex life.Abstrak. Ideologi transnasional yang bersifat radikal dapat dengan mudah menyerang dan merusak generasi muda Kristen pada era digital ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan pendidikan Kristen antisipatif-transformatif dan pentingnya revitalisasi fungsi didaskalia sebagai pondasi ketahanan pemuda Kristen di era transnasionalisme. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi pustaka. Melalui penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa fungsi didaskalia semakin urgen untuk direvitalisasi dalam konteks ketahanan pemuda Kristen di tengah derasnya arus ideologi transnasional. Sebagai upaya antisipatif-transformatif, Pendidikan Kristen berupaya mengembangkan model pendidikan yang akomodatif dan kontekstual dalam rangka membangun pondasi yang kuat dalam diri pemuda Kristen, yang memampukan mereka dalam menghadapi kehidupan yang kompleks.

Abstract

The doctrine of salvation (soteriology) is one of the most important doctrines in Christianity. The doctrine of soteriology needs to be understood and understood properly and correctly, so as not to lead to misleading interpretations. One of the interesting verses to discuss in the doctrine of soteriology is the assurance of salvation in the Gospel of John 10: 28-29. For this reason, in this article, the author will analyze the Gospel of John 10: 28-29 in order to provide a soteriological understanding that is in accordance with the truths contained in the text. The result of the analysis of this article is that Jesus guarantees the salvation of believers so that they do not perish forever, and God the Father also guarantees this salvation. Therefore, believers will receive the power of the Holy Spirit so that they can practice every truth that God wants in their lives. Thus, every believer can have a correct understanding of the assurance of his safety. This needs to be a concern for Christian educators, whether they teach in families, schools, or churches. Doktrin keselamatan (soteriologi) adalah salah satu doktrin yang sangat penting di dalam Kekristenan. Doktrin soteriologi perlu untuk dapat dimengerti dan dipahami dengan baik dan benar, agar tidak menimbulkan penafsiran yang menyesatkan. Salah satu ayat yang cukup menarik untuk dibahas dalam doktrin soteriologi adalah mengenai jaminan keselamatan dalam Injil Yohanes 10:28-29. Untuk itu, dalam artikel ini, penulis akan menganalisis Injil Yohanes 10:28-29 agar dapat memberikan pemahaman soteriologi yang sesuai dengan kebenaran yang ada di dalam nats tersebut. Hasil dari analisis artikel ini ialah, Yesus memberikan jaminan keselamatan bagi orang-orang percaya agar tidak binasa sampai selama-lamanya, dan Allah Bapa juga ikut menjamin keselamatan tersebut. Oleh sebab itu, orang-orang percaya akan menerima kuasa Roh Kudus sehingga mereka dapat melakukan setiap kebenaran yang dikehendaki Allah di dalam kehidupannya. Dengan demikian, agar setiap orang percaya dapat memiliki pemahaman yang benar mengenai jaminan keselamatannya. Hal ini perlu menjadi perhatian bagi para pendidik Kristen, baik yang mengajar di keluarga, sekolah, maupun gereja.

Abstract

The increase in the number of poor people during the current COVID-19 pandemic is a serious challenge. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed almost all of the living arrangements of most people. This can be seen from the increasing economic crisis in people's lives which is increasingly concerning. One of the causes is quite significant, because many companies do mass layoffs of employees due to the economic crisis in the company. This also affects many people who lose the only job that supports their daily needs. Therefore, to reduce the level of poverty among the people and assist the government in dealing with these problems, the church can take on its role. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to provide an overview or concept of the role of the church in alleviating the problem of poverty in the midst of the congregation. The research method used is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this research, namely: First, the church needs to make training that can develop the abilities (skills) of each congregation. Second, the church needs to be an example in terms of work and in building awareness to help the poor. Third, the church needs to build healthy congregational spiritual growth. AbstrakPeningkatan jumlah masyarakat miskin di masa pandemi covid 19 saat ini, menjadi sebuah tantangan yang cukup serius. Pandemi covid-19 merubah hampir semua tatanan hidup dari sebagian besar masyarakat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya krisis ekonomi dalam kehidupan masyarakat yang semakin memprihatinkan. Salah satu penyebab yang cukup signifikan, karena banyak perusahaan melakukan pemecatan secara massal kepada karyawan akibat terjadinya krisis ekonomi di perusahaan tersebut. Hal ini pun berimbas kepada banyaknya orang yang kehilangan satu-satunya pekerjaan yang menghidupi kebutuhan mereka sehari-hari. Oleh sebab itu, untuk mengurangi tingkat kemiskinan di kalangan masyarakat dan membantu pemerintah dalam menghadapi persoalan tersebut, gereja dapat mengambil perannya. Untuk itu, tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran atau konsep mengenai peran gereja dalam mengentaskan persoalan kemiskinan di tengah-tengah jemaat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini, yakni: Pertama, gereja perlu membuat pelatihan yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan setiap Jemaat. Kedua, gereja perlu menjadi teladan dalam hal bekerja dan dalam membangun kesadaran untuk menolong kaum miskin. Ketiga, gereja perlu membangun pertumbuhan spiritualitas jemaat yang sehat.

Abstract

Pernikahan merupakan suatu tradisi Alkitabiah yang tidak putus hingga masa sekarang. Akan tetapi, ada hal yang cukup kontras dalam sebuah pernikahan secara umum, yakni tentang pernikahan beda keyakinan. Pernikahan semacam ini sudah dilakukan sejak dari masa lalu sampai sekarang. Hal tersebut, jika dilakukan oleh orang Kristen akan berdampak negatif bagi iman, gaya hidup, dan spiritualitasnya. Oleh sebab itu, penulis hendak ingin menganalisis bagaimana seharusnya cara gereja dalam menyikapi hal tersebut. Metode yang digunakan penulis, yakni metode studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pernikahan Kristen merupakan pernikahan yang dipersatukan oleh Allah dengan dasar kasih di mana mereka yang dipersatukan (suami-isteri) hidup untuk menjalankan visi dan misi Allah yaitu dengan menghadirkan kerajaan Allah di bumi. Oleh sebab itu, gereja perlu memandang pernikahan beda keyakinan adalah sesuatu hal yang tidak Alkitabiah dan tidak sesuai dengan identitas kekristenan. Jadi, gereja perlu mengambil tindakan yang tepat, yakni: Pertama, melaksanakan pendidikan agama Kristen (PAK) kepada muda-mudi tentang bagaimana memilih pasangan hidup sebelum membentuk bahtera rumah tangga. Kedua, menanamkan kepada jemaat bagaimana menegakkan kerajaan Allah di bumi lewat pernikahan. Ketiga, memastikan bahwa setiap jemaatnya sudah memiliki hidup lahir baru.

Abstract

AbstrakKelompok sel di gereja terhadap anak, remaja/pemuda, serta orangtua bertujuan untuk mengajar dan memperlengkapi pelayanan gereja sehingga terjadi multiplikasi. Kelompok sel harus diawali dengan melayani Tuhan, berdoa, dan berada dalam sebuah kesatuan. Kelompok sel merupakan kelompok kecil yang tidak lebih dari 12 orang untuk bertemu secara teratur sebagai sarana agar tiap anggota dapat mempelajari firman Tuhan dan membagikan pengalaman hidup dalam suasana persaudaraan yang akrab dan menyenangkan untuk bertumbuh pada pengenalan akan Yesus Kristus. Perlu adanya kegiatan kelompok sel di gereja karena ibadah yang dilaksanakan pada hari minggu, umumnya tidak akan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut karena ibadah hari minggu hanya komunikasi satu arah. Oleh karena itu, penulis dalam artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana prinsip kelompok sel sebagai revitalisasi pendidikan agama Kristen di gereja kepada setiap anggota jemaat. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kelompok sel dapat menjadi salah satu metode yang ampuh bagi gereja untuk mencapai penyempurnaan orang-orang kudus dalam pekerjaan/pelayanan Tuhan (Ef. 4:13). Kata Kunci: Gereja; Kelompok Sel; Pendidikan Agama Kristen; Revitalisasi AbstractCell groups in the church for children, youth/youth, and parents aim to teach and equip church services so that multiplication occurs. The cell group must begin with serving God, praying, and being in oneness. Cell groups are small groups of no more than 12 people to meet regularly as a means so that each member can study God's word and share life experiences in a close and pleasant brotherly atmosphere to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. There is a need for cell group activities in the church because worship held on Sundays, generally will not be able to meet these needs because Sunday worship is only one-way communication. Therefore, the author in this article aims to explain how the principle of cell groups as a revitalization of Christian religious education in the church to every member of the congregation. The result of this research is that cell groups can be a powerful method for the church to achieve the perfection of the saints in God's work/service (Eph. 4:13). Keywords: Church; Cell Groups; Christian education; Revitalization

Abstract

Sunday school is one of the supporting facilities in spiritual development for children, so they can get to know God the Creator from an early age. In addition, Sunday School can also be a forum for the church to lay the foundation of Christian faith for children, so that they can reflect the character of life in accordance with Bible teachings. However, what is happening today is that more and more Christian children are starting to leave the church. This was disclosed by Prof. Dr. Thomas Pentury, M.Sc., based on research results, there are as many as 50% of the Christian millennial generation in Indonesia who have left the church. Here it can be seen that the church today needs good management, especially in Sunday School activities so that the children who are being taught in the future remain faithful to serve in the church. Therefore, in this article the writer uses literature review to answer the problems raised. With the aim, that the church can have a picture or concept of good management in the Sunday School ministry, so that the children who are taught continue to have loyalty to church services.

Abstract

Abstract: This article is a theoretical study of the learning strategies carried out by christian education teachers in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0. christian education teachers are part of educators who must play an active role in responding to the times. Therefore, teachers need to choose the right learning strategies for students in preparing cognitively, personally, and mentally. The learning strategies that can be carried out by Christian Education teachers in dealing with the industrial revolution 4.0 are such as strengthening character education, it is emphasized that christian education in schools not only requires students to understand and understand the Christian faith in terms of knowledge, but how students must experience spiritual and character transformation. Then the use of technology can make students think critically. Because it is able to solve problems that are happening and find sources of information from the internet. Furthermore, problembased learning can equip students to think critically to solve problems in everyday life. In addition, the use of e-learning media in learning has basic competencies that educators must have in implementing e-learning learning models. To achieve what the author's goal is, the author uses a qualitative method of library research, namely by collecting data and information related to the problem under study through journals, books, and several online media references that can be justified academically.Abstrak: Artikel ini adalah suatu kajian teoritis mengenai strategi pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru PAK dalam menghadapi revolusi industri 4.0. Guru PAK merupakan bagian dari pendidik yang harus berperan aktif dalam meresponi perkembangan zaman. Oleh sebab itu, guru PAK perlu memilih strategi pembelajaran yang tepat bagi siswa dalam mempersiapkan kognitif, kepribadian, dan mental. Adapun strategi pembelajaran yang dapat dilakukan oleh guru PAK dalam mengahadapi revolusi industri 4.0 yaitu seperti penguatan pendidikan karakter kristen, hal ini ditekankan bahwa PAK di dalam sekolah tidak hanya menuntut siswa mengerti dan memahami iman Kristen dalam hal pengetahuan saja, akan tetapi bagaimana siswa harus mengalami transformasi spriritual dan karakter. Kemudian pemanfatan teknologi dapat membuat siswa berpikir kritis. Karena mampu memecahkan masalah yang sedang terjadi dan mencari sumber informasi dari internet. Selanjutnya pembelajaran Problem based learning dapat memperlengkapi siswa agar dapat berpikir kristis untuk menyelesaikan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu penggunaan media e-learning dalam pembelajaran ada kompotensi dasar yang harus dimiliki pendidik dalam menyelenggarakan model pembelajaran e-learning. Untuk mencapai apa yang menjadi tujuan penulis ini, maka penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif kajian Pustaka, yaitu dengan menggumpulkan data-data informasi-informasi yang berhubungan dengan masalah yang diteliti melalui jurnal, buku, dan beberapa referensi media online yang dapat dipertanggung jawabkan secara akademik.

Abstract

Today there is a leadership crisis, especially in Christian institutions. For example, the process of selecting church leaders or synods cannot be separated from elements of Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism (KKN). This shows that Christian leadership is experiencing moral and faith degradation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide an overview of transforming generations of Christian leaders who are in accordance with the teachings of the Bible, based on James W. Fowler's 6 stages of faith development theory. For this reason, this research uses descriptive qualitative research with a literature approach. The results obtained include: First, at the age of 0-6 years, growing children's confidence and self-confidence. Second, at the age of 6-12 years, set an example regarding the morals and integrity of leadership. Third, At the age of 12-18 years, take care of the children's association and environment. Fourth, at the age of 18-25 years, provide religious teachers who can become role models in leadership. Fifth, at the age of 25-40 years, form an open point of view. Sixth, At the age of 40 and above, adjust to the views of others and see the truth from many points of view. With this in mind, cases that often occur in the Christian leadership environment will be minimized.

Abstract

During the covid-19 Pandemic that hit Indonesia, online learning became a learning model that must be done in areas with a high covid-19 spread rate. There are many challenges faced by all interested parties in the world of education. Problems include limited internet access, skills in using technology, and the ability to manage online learning classes. This study focuses on the role of Christian Religious educators or teachers in overcoming online learning problems and challenges by seeking to create a conducive and enjoyable learning atmosphere and quality so that students can learn well and achieve learning outcomes. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the concept of effective online classroom management for Christian religious education learning to shape the Christian character of students during the covid-19 pandemic based on five classroom management functions, namely leading, planning, organizing,  and evaluation. In order to achieve this goal, this research is qualitative-descriptive. That is, it describes data regarding Christian religious education class management during the covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study are that online classroom management for Christian religious education learning can be realized through the leadership of teachers who are servant-hearted; planning of learning activities in shaping Christian character; setting the learning process and learning materials; teacher skills in implementing learning; and teachers who always guarantee the quality of their learning through evaluation activities.
