Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work stress on the performance of Brimob members at the XYZ Regional Police with social support as a moderating variable. The working environment in police organizations, especially in the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) unit, is characterized by high-risk tasks, intensive operational mobility, and high levels of readiness. These conditions may lead to work stress that can affect the performance of members in carrying out their duties. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The sample in this study consisted of active members of the Brimob Unit of XYZ Regional Police who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 120 Brimob members as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine the relationships among variables and the role of social support as a moderating variable. The results indicate that work stress has a negative effect on the performance of Brimob members. Furthermore, social support plays an important role in moderating the relationship between work stress and employee performance. These findings provide theoretical contributions to the development of human resource management studies and practical implications for police organizations in improving member performance through effective work stress management and strengthening social support in the workplace.

Abstract

Mental health and emotional intelligence among Generation Z have become critical issues amid social pressures, digital transformation, and the increasingly complex demands of the workplace. This study aims to systematically examine the relationship between mental health, emotional intelligence, authoritative parenting, and work motivation, as well as to map the development and academic structure of this topic. The research subjects consisted of scientific articles obtained from the Scopus database through a keyword-based systematic search using specific inclusion criteria, resulting in 115 relevant articles for analysis. This study employs a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review combined with bibliometric analysis. Data were collected through the identification, screening, and selection of articles based on the PRISMA procedure, then analyzed using content analysis techniques and visualized with Vosviewer software to map networks, clusters, and relationships between concepts. The results indicate a significant increase in publications related to mental health and emotional intelligence among Generation Z, with a dominant focus on issues of anxiety, depression, burnout, and emotional regulation. However, the variables of authoritative parenting and work motivation remain underrepresented in the existing research framework. In conclusion, this study confirms the existence of a conceptual gap that opens opportunities for the development of an integrative model linking family factors, emotional competence, and Generation Z’s work readiness. The implications of this study provide theoretical contributions to the development of psychological and educational research, as well as practical contributions to the formulation of educational strategies, parenting approaches, and policies for improving the mental health of the younger generation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of role conflict and job stress on job satisfaction through burnout, while highlighting the role of psychological resilience within educational management contexts. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was employed to explore individuals’ lived experiences in managing organizational demands. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with purposively selected participants who had experienced workplace conflict and job-related stress. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, including data condensation, display, and verification. The findings reveal that role conflict and job stress contribute to emotional exhaustion, decreased motivation, and negative work perceptions. Burnout emerges as a key mediating mechanism linking job demands to job satisfaction. However, individuals who demonstrate adaptive coping strategies—such as problem-focused coping, emotional regulation, and meaning-making—show higher psychological resilience and better job satisfaction. From an educational management perspective, leadership practices, communication systems, and institutional support significantly influence these psychological dynamics. This study implies that strengthening educational management strategies, including psychological support systems and stress management programs, is essential to enhance job satisfaction and sustain organizational effectiveness.
