Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of play methods in stimulating the cognitive and social abilities of young children. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 17 Buah Hati Kindergarten children aged 5-6 years, who were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on the children's involvement in play activities designed by the teacher. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman and Saldana model including data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing, with triangulation validation techniques and sources. The results of the research show that play activities that are applied systematically, such as playing with blocks, stick men, making weapons from banana stems, and matching pictures of flags, make a significant contribution to children's development. Block games train logic, creativity and problem-solving skills. Stick man games hone creativity and critical thinking skills through discussion and collaboration. The activity of making weapons from banana stems fosters imagination, gross motor coordination and cooperation, while the flag matching game improves memory, symbol recognition and social interaction. The conclusion of this research confirms that play methods, if well designed and relevant, can be an effective learning strategy in supporting the cognitive and social development of early childhood.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (IPM) is an illustration of the development of human welfare in a country. Indonesia, which has 34 provinces and several provinces still have HDI levels, some are still below 70% and are in the moderate HDI category. This condition can be related to policies taken from a country both from the strategy of maintaining inflation, empowering zakat potential and maintaining poverty levels. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence, interaction and causality relationship between inflation, zakat potential, poverty level and human development index in provinces in Indonesia. The theory used in this study is related to macro variables such as inflation, zakat potential, poverty level and the Human Development Index. This research is a quantitative study using secondary data with a sampling technique with saturated sampling of 34 samples, and analyzed using the VAR method with computer program statistical toolsEviews 10. The research results show based on analysisVector Error Correction Model(VECM) Inflation has an effect of 27%, the potential for zakat has an effect of 0.002%, and the poverty rate has an influence of 10.4% Based on the analysisImpuls Response Function (IRF), The potential for zakat is the variable that has the highest response by other variables, then the response to the poverty rate and finally the inflation variable where the dynamic shock is stable between the 15th to the 20th year. Results of the analysisForcast error Variance Decomposition (FEVD) shows the potential for zakat and the poverty rate to be the variables that have the greatest contribution to other variables, namely 31.44% and 4,76%. The variable that has the lowest response and contribution to other variables is the inflation variable of 3.79% .

Abstract

Zakat is an important instrument in Islam that functions as a means of wealth distribution and community economic empowerment. The development of the modern economy has given rise to various new forms of wealth, encouraging the emergence of contemporary zakat thought, including that of Yusuf al-Qardhawi and Buya Hamka. This study aims to analyze the views of both scholars on zakat objects and examine their relevance to zakat management practices at BAZNAS Mandailing Natal Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. Primary data were collected through interviews and documentation, while secondary data were obtained from classical works, books, scholarly articles, and relevant official documents. Data were analyzed descriptively and comparatively. The findings reveal that Yusuf al-Qardhawi's ideas are reflected in zakat collection practices through the recognition of professional income zakat, the utilization of banking systems, and institutional zakat management. Meanwhile, Buya Hamka's thought is reflected in zakat distribution practices that emphasize social justice, solidarity, and public welfare through educational, health, socio-religious, and economic empowerment programs. Nevertheless, zakat distribution at BAZNAS Mandailing Natal Regency remains predominantly consumptive in nature, although efforts have been made to promote productive programs aimed at enhancing the self-reliance of beneficiaries (mustahik).
