Abstract

This study aims to describe: (a) the implementation of Index Card Match media-based teaching modules in learning the skills of writing observation report texts, (b) the implementation of Index Card Match media in learning activities, and (c) student learning outcomes after the implementation of Index Card Match media in learning to write observation report texts. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a natural observation type. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of open modules with the integration of Index Card Match media is systematically arranged by containing learning components that are in accordance with the Independent Curriculum. The implementation of Index Card Match media in learning shows positive results. During the activity, students looked enthusiastic and active in interacting with their peers. This is evidenced by the results of the final test which showed an average score of 72.63. This value shows that most students have achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) in the Independent Curriculum because the independent curriculum no longer uses the term KKM or Minimum Completion Criteria set by the school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning achievement of writing scientific papers with current social problems before and after the use of contextual learning approaches and the influence of this approach. The design and research used pre-experimental by impelementing one class pretest-posttest. The method in sampling is purposive sampling the technique in analyzing data using descriptive statistical techniques hyphothesis testing applies the results of the t-test. The results and this study prove that the average value before using the contextual learning approach is 30,4. Then the results and t-test state that the contextual learning approach has a very significant influence on the learning achievement of writing scientific papers with current social problems with a sig value (2-tailed) of 0,005. The conclusion is that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The morphological process of inflection and derivation is related to word formation. The process of word formation in language can be reflected in song lyrics. Songs are one of the most universal forms of human cultural expression. Therefore, this study aims to describe the forms of inflection and derivation and to describe the functions of inflection and derivation in song lyrics in the album Manusia by Tulus. This research, which is classified as qualitative descriptive, has research data in the form of song lyrics containing affixed words. The source of research data comes from ten songs in the album Manusia by Tulus. Data collection techniques were carried out in two ways, namely the free conversational listening technique and the note-taking technique. The research data were analyzed using the distribution method with the direct element sharing technique (BUL). The results of the study showed that the forms of inflection and derivation found in the song lyrics in the album Manusia by Tulus amounted to 15 affixes or affixes consisting of prefixes, infixes, suffixes, and confixes. Then in the inflectional form, nine affixes were found and in the derivation form, 14 affixes were found, each of which has a function. In this derivational form, there are 51 words that experience affixation, while in the inflectional form there are 33 words. So in the song lyrics in the album Manusia by Tulus, derivational affixes are more productive than inflectional affixes.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan budaya, termasuk tradisi pernikahan adat yang sarat akan nilai-nilai simbolik dan filosofis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna simbolik dan pesan yang terkandung dalam tradisi Mappacci pada pernikahan adat Suku Bugis di Kelurahan Lanna, Kecamatan Parangloe, Kabupaten Gowa. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh adat dan partisipan kunci, serta dokumentasi. Kerangka teori semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce diterapkan untuk menginterpretasikan makna simbolik dari sepuluh perlengkapan utama dalam ritual Mappacci sebagai simbol, ikon, dan indeks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap elemen memiliki makna mendalam yang merepresentasikan nilai-nilai luhur budaya Bugis, seperti kehormatan, persatuan, kesinambungan hidup, kesejahteraan, kesucian, bimbingan, kebahagiaan, kesuburan, dan kesetiaan. Pesan-pesan ini diharapkan menjadi bekal bagi calon pengantin dalam membangun kehidupan pernikahan yang harmonis, sejahtera, dan langgeng. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tradisi Mappacci di Kelurahan Lanna merupakan mekanisme kultural yang kaya akan simbol dan makna, berfungsi untuk mentransmisikan nilai-nilai penting dan mempersiapkan calon pengantin secara spiritual dan emosional dalam memasuki jenjang pernikahan.

Abstract

Speech acts are a way of communicating that considers both language use and situational aspects. They are classified into locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts. This study aims to describe the forms and types of directive speech acts in community activities in Botubarani Village, Bone Bolango Regency. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected from conversations between speakers and interlocutors, including tourists at the whale shark tourism site. The findings reveal 40 instances of directive speech acts categorized into five types: warnings, recommendations, advice, requests, and prohibitions. The study concludes that the forms and types of directive speech acts in the village align with the applied theories and methods.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine whether there is an influence o the school literacy program on the review text reading skilsso grade VIII students at SMP N 1 Botupingge in the 2023/2024 academic year, as well as to determine the inhibiting factors and supporting factors o the school literacy program on the review teks reading skiils of grade VIII students at SMP N 1 Botupinggein the 2023/2024 academic year. This study used a quantitative method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The result s o the study show that score of tcount > ttable or 2,082 > 1,677 then H0 rejected this mean that Ha is accepted thus, it can be concluded that there is a signiicant positive influence on student‘ review text reading skiil using the literacy program, which is higher compared to using conventional methods. The supporting factors or the implementasion of the literacy program include the availability of appropriate materials, while the inhibiting actors include time constraints, lack o book collection and lowreading interest.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of implementing the snowball throwing method in teaching students to identify information in explanatory texts among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Duhiadaa Satap in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, documentation, and testing. The findings indicate that the application of the snowball throwing method had a positive impact on increasing student engagement and learning outcomes. Students became more active in discussions, asking and answering questions, and found it easier to understand the structure and content of explanatory texts. The average student learning outcome score was 78.35, which falls into the “very good” category. Most students achieved scores above the minimum competency standard. The classroom atmosphere also became more lively and enjoyable. Therefore, the snowball throwing method can be considered an effective alternative teaching strategy to improve students' ability to comprehend key information in explanatory texts.

Abstract

Dalam menjalani kehidupan, kita dituntut untuk selalu meningkatkan kualitas kita sebagai manusa, baik itu kualitas yang bersifat duniawi hingga akhirat.ada banyak cara dalam mrningkatkan kualitas duniawi dan akhirat kita sebagai manusia. Salah satu jalan dalam meningkatkan kualitas akhirat kita atau meningkatkan iman kita dengan selalu menyirami hati kita dengan ayata-ayat Al-qur’an dan Hadist Rasulullah. Begitu pula dalam meningkatkan kualitas duniawi kita sehingga kita tidak dengan mudah terperangkap dalam kebodohan. Berdasarkan ayat yang pertama diturunkan oleh Allah dalam Al-qur’an yaitu membaca maka kita sebagai manusia juga harus meningkatkannya juga, ada banyak cara juga yang dipakai dalam meningkatkan minat kita dalam membaca.
