Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of actio pauliana by the parties in the event of default on the contract and what legal protection can be given to the contractor when actio pauliana executed /performed. This study is a normative-Empirical Legal Research, which combines aspects of normative jurisprudence with empirical jurisprudence. Normative aspects include the study of legislation and legal literature related to actio pauliana and construction services law. The results of the study show that the application of actio pauliana must also take into account the legal protection of third parties, especially contractors in good faith. The law recognizes that a buyer in good faith remains entitled to legal protection in order to obtain his rights to the goods he legally purchased. If the buyer is unable to obtain the goods he has purchased as a result of the cancellation of the legal act through actio pauliana, they are entitled to claim damages. It is also important to note that not all legal acts can be annulled through the actio pauliana. Legal acts committed in the interests of the company, not in personal interests, may be excluded from cancellation. This suggests that the law also takes into account the context and purpose of the legal act committed.

Abstract

This study looks at how the open-list proportional voting system in Indonesia affects political division and democratic representation in the 2024 elections. The research will find out if this system increases diversity in party beliefs or just creates more parties without really improving representation. Using a qualitative case study method, the research reviews secondary data from election results, party beliefs, and existing research to evaluate how the system affects political stability and leadership. The findings show that while the open-list system has improved political involvement by allowing voters to choose candidates directly, it has not significantly increased ideological representation.Mst parties are focused on a nationalist-Islamic direction, with some exceptions like the the Labor Party and PSI. Even though many parties are emerging, the division is mostly surface-level because major parties, like the Koalisis Indonesia Maju Plus, tend to centralize power instead of creating healthy competition. The system also worsens problems like high campaign cost, poor candidate management by parties, and money-driven politics, reducing its democratic value. The study concludes that the open-list system increases voter independence but needs changes to address its weaknesses. Suggested improvements include adopting a mixed voting system, developing party members better, improving voter education, and implementing stricter rules on campaign financing. These actions would help balance democratic representation with political stability and match the system with Indonesia’s constitutional principle of popular sovereignty. The research contributes to discussions on electoral reform and offers policy suggestions to strengthen Indonesia's democratic governance.

Abstract

Internet usage in Indonesia has reached 212 million individuals as of February 2025. This indicates the need for the government to innovate and use technology to implement good governance. One of the problems in Indonesia is the low literacy of the community, and one of the causes is the lack of affordable access to books due to high prices. Through the Indonesian National Library, the Indonesian government has created the iPusnas application, a digital public library. However, technological innovation always faces the challenge of the digital divide. Through this research, the author examines the digital divide in the utilization of iPusnas by students of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) using digital divide theory. With a qualitative method, the author uses primary data through interviews with UPNVJ students from all faculties to explore the subjective experience of each informant. The result of the research is that most interviewees do not know the application, even though they have sufficient technology to access it. This requires a solution in the form of greater socialization from the application manager to the community through social media or direct socialization.

Abstract

Monkeypox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus. This study applies the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method to classify monkeypox cases. Utilizing SVM aids in accurate diagnosis and prevention measures. Preprocessing involves Random Oversampling (ROS) and Random Undersampling (RUS) to address class imbalance in symptom datasets. SVM classification is based on systemic symptoms and clinical signs. Evaluation via Confusion Matrix assesses accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and AUC, with average accuracy reaching 67.1% for imbalanced data and 36.5% for balanced data. The method outperforms conventional techniques, demonstrating its potential in monkeypox symptom pattern recognition. Results indicate higher accuracy in diagnosing monkeypox using SVM, despite class imbalances. This study contributes to understanding, predicting, and managing monkeypox outbreaks effectively.

Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the best-performing lecturer at the Faculty of Computer, Universitas Universal. The study aims to provide an objective and measurable evaluation of lecturer performance by considering criteria such as education, research, community service, and supporting activities. The results of the AHP calculation show that Lecturer 4 ranked first with the highest total score of 93.29, followed by Lecturer 8 with a score of 90.39, and Lecturer 13 with a score of 89.78. The AHP method offers a transparent and efficient approach to decision-making, which can motivate lecturers to improve their academic performance and contribute to creating a productive work culture at the faculty. This study concludes that the application of AHP in determining the best lecturer is an effective solution to ensure fair, transparent, and objective decisions, ultimately enhancing the overall academic quality.
