Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of sports management capabilities in North Sumatra in 2020. This research method is a descriptive method. The number of samples was 34 people with sampling techniques with purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument is a questionnaire with data analysis techniques by comparing the two pree test averages = 78 (medium), and the post-test average = 84.5 (good). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant increase in the capacity of the management ability of provincial sports administrators in North Sumatra in 2020. There is a significant increase in the sports management capacity of the provincial board of sports branches in North Sumatra in 2020. It is recommended that the leader of a sports organization has the ability to lead a sports organization determined by the managerial skills possessed, among others; ability to lead, ability to foster, ability to organize, and financial management skills.

Abstract

Dasar kegiatan ini adalah banyaknya kendala dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum Merdeka dalam pendidikan jasmani. Dalam kegiatan tentang implementasi kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, alat yang mendukung dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan instrumen non test. Dalam instrummen non test tersebut menggunakan metode kuesioner, metode wawancara, observasi dan metode dokumentasi. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah disimpulkan bahwa implementasi kurikukulum Merdeka belajar pada mata Pelajaran pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan Kesehatan di SD Negeri 101208 Pahae Aek Sagala Tapanuli Selatan Tahun 2023 dengan baik sekali dimana pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani dengan melaksanakan strategi diferensiasi ditambah lagi dengan penerapan media berbasis teknologi. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya tidak semua terlaksana karena keterbatasan guru pendidikan jasmani yang belum terbiasa dengan penerapan kurikulum Merdeka ini. Kendala dalam implementasi kurikulum Merdeka belajar pada mata Pelajaran pendidikan jamsnai di SD Negeri 101208 Pahae Aek Sagala adalah pembuatan modul ajar, strategi belajar dan siswa memang harus dikomandoi baru bisa berhasil dan poin utamanya guru belum memahami pedagogi dalam kurikulum Merdeka. Solusinya adalah dengan menerapkan sebuah kebijakan yang konsisten sehingga harus mengontrol setiap kegiatan, ditambah lagi pendanaan untuk kelengkapan fasilitas juga mendukung dan yang menjadi poin utamanya adalah kualitas pendidik harus ditingkatkan dan memperkaya literasi guru terkait strategi, media, modul dan assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the practice teaching style in improving students’ learning outcomes on the forward roll movement in floor gymnastics among fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted at SD Al-Ittihadiyah Percut, Deli Serdang Regency, during the 2022/2023 academic year, involving 29 students as subjects. Data were collected through observation and performance tests over two learning cycles. In Cycle I, 15 students (51.72%) achieved the minimum mastery criteria, with an average score of 72.70. In Cycle II, 26 students (89.65%) met the criteria, with an average score of 79.31. The results indicate a significant improvement in learning outcomes after applying the practice teaching style. This method provides students with greater responsibility and autonomy in the learning process, enhances motor skill mastery, and fosters more active and independent participation. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the practice teaching style effectively improves students’ learning outcomes in the forward roll floor gymnastics material for fourth-grade students at SD Al-Ittihadiyah Percut.

Abstract

This community service activity was aimed to assist athletic coaches in Langkat in designing training programs using the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) model. The method used included training, mentoring, and evaluation stages. A total of 20 coaches participated in practical sessions to use sport science tools and understand athlete talent identification. The result showed significant improvement in understanding coaching techniques and application of SMART methods, as shown by the pre-post training assessment. The outcome enhanced the ability of coaches to develop structured programs based on measurable parameters. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi pelatih atletik di Langkat dalam menyusun program latihan berbasis model SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, dan Time-bound). Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan, pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Sebanyak 20 pelatih mengikuti kegiatan praktik pemanfaatan alat sport science dan memahami identifikasi bakat atlet. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan pelatih secara signifikan setelah pelatihan. Program ini meningkatkan kemampuan pelatih dalam merancang latihan yang terstruktur dan berbasis data.

Abstract

Objectives: This systematic philosophical literature review examines the conceptual evolution from physical literacy frameworks to human flourishing paradigms in contemporary physical education (PE), analyzing how philosophical foundations have shaped modern pedagogical approaches and their implications for holistic human development. Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, a systematic search was conducted across Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, ERIC, and SPORTDiscus databases (January 2010–August 2025). Search terms combined physical literacy, physical education, human flourishing, eudaimonia, well-being, and philosophical paradigms. Inclusion criteria encompassed peer-reviewed philosophical, theoretical, and empirical studies examining PE paradigms through philosophical lenses. Two independent reviewers screened 2,847 records, with 56 studies meeting full eligibility criteria for qualitative synthesis. Results: The analysis revealed four dominant philosophical paradigms: (1) capability approach-based frameworks emphasizing human agency and functioning; (2) virtue ethics perspectives connecting physical literacy to character development; (3) phenomenological approaches highlighting embodied experience; and (4) eudaimonic well-being models integrating physical, psychological, and social dimensions. A paradigmatic shift was identified from narrow skill-based competencies toward comprehensive human flourishing, with physical literacy serving as foundational but not sufficient for optimal human development. Integration challenges included conceptual ambiguity, measurement difficulties, and implementation barriers in diverse educational contexts. Conclusion: Contemporary PE paradigms demonstrate philosophical convergence toward holistic human development models, transcending traditional dualistic mind-body separations. Physical literacy emerges as a necessary foundation for human flourishing but requires integration with cognitive, affective, and social domains. Future research should develop integrated frameworks, refined assessment instruments, and culturally responsive pedagogies that honor diverse conceptions of flourishing while maintaining philosophical coherence.
