Abstract

Perkebunan kelapa sawit memiliki peran strategis dalam perekonomian Indonesia, terutama dengan meningkatnya permintaan Crude Palm Oil (CPO). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan produksi CPO di PTPN IV Regional 4 dengan menerapkan pendekatan linear programming metode simpleks. Permasalahan yang dihadapi meliputi biaya produksi dan operasional, kapasitas tangki minyak, jam olah efektif mesin, serta distribusi Tandan Buah Segar (TBS) dari tiga kebun, yaitu Bunut, Batang Hari, dan Lagan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah linear programming dengan metode simpleks, yang diimplementasikan melalui perhitungan manual dan simulasi menggunakan software POM-QM. Data penelitian diperoleh dari sumber primer dan sekunder, termasuk wawancara dengan pegawai PTPN IV serta analisis dokumen produksi tahun 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alokasi optimal TBS untuk mencapai produksi CPO maksimal adalah 10.680 ton dari kebun Bunut, 4.050 ton dari kebun Batang Hari, dan 3.752 ton dari kebun Lagan per bulan. Dengan alokasi ini, produksi CPO dapat mencapai 4.320,14 ton per bulan, meningkat 723,14 ton dari rata-rata produksi sebelumnya. Simpulan penelitian mengonfirmasi bahwa penerapan metode simpleks efektif dalam mengoptimalkan produksi CPO, dengan hasil yang signifikan dibandingkan studi sebelumnya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Employee Engagement and Work Life Balance on employee performance through job satisfaction. The variables studied include Employee Engagement and Work Life Balance as independent variables, Employee performance as dependent variables, and job satisfaction as intervening variables. The study was conducted on employees of PTPN VI Kebun Pabatu, Dolok Merawan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The number of research samples was 51 people, determined using the Taro Yamane formula. This study uses primary data obtained by using questionnaires distributed to employees. The data analyzed using the path analysis method. The results of the study showed that Employee Engagement did not have a significant effect on Job Satisfaction, while Work-Life Balance had a significant effect on Job Satisfaction. Furthermore, Employee Engagement was proven to have a significant effect on Employee Performance, while Work-Life Balance did not have a significant effect on Employee Performance. This study also found that Job Satisfaction had a significant effect on Employee Performance. In addition, Job Satisfaction was able to mediate the effect of Employee Engagement on Performance, but was unable to mediate the effect of Work-Life Balance on Performance.
