Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi hubungan antara filsafat pendidikan, kebudayaan lokal, dan praktik pendidikan matematika di sekolah dasar Sumba Barat Daya, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Berbasis pada filsafat konstruktivisme sosial, penelitian ini menggarisbawahi bahwa pembelajaran matematika terjadi melalui interaksi sosial dan pengalaman nyata, menjadikan guru sebagai fasilitator yang mendukung proses konstruksi pengetahuan siswa. Integrasi elemen budaya lokal seperti tradisi dan nilai komunal ke dalam kurikulum membantu siswa menghubungkan konsep matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, memperkuat relevansi pendidikan dan mendorong partisipasi aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana pendidikan yang berbasis budaya lokal dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan siswa, serta memperkuat identitas budaya mereka. Studi literatur dan analisis empiris digunakan untuk menyusun model pembelajaran yang relevan dan kontekstual, menggabungkan filsafat pendidikan dengan kekayaan budaya lokal). Hasil penelitian diharapkan memberikan rekomendasi strategis bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan dalam mengembangkan pendekatan pendidikan yang adaptif dan inklusif, yang meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of multimedia and interactive-based mathematics learning at SMKS Pancasila Tambolaka, specifically for students in the Tourism Service Management program in Sumba Barat Daya. By combining quantitative and qualitative approaches (mixed methods), this research measures the improvement in students' understanding of mathematical concepts as well as their perceptions of this teaching method. Quantitative data was collected through pre-tests and post-tests to compare students' understanding before and after the multimedia-based learning, while a Likert scale questionnaire was used to assess students' motivation and satisfaction. Qualitative data was gathered through in-depth interviews with teachers and focus group discussions with students to capture their experiences. The results indicate that multimedia and interactive learning methods significantly enhance students' understanding of mathematical concepts, as well as strengthen their motivation and participation in class. Teachers also reported benefits from using this technology, which helps to simplify abstract concepts. Recommendations from this study include improving technology infrastructure and providing ongoing teacher training to ensure optimal implementation. These findings support previous research, which suggests that multimedia is effective in enhancing the quality of learning and increasing student engagement.

Abstract

Mathematics is often considered difficult by many people in everyday life, especially indicated by the level of student learning achievement that tends to be lower than other subjects, especially in Southwest Sumba Regency. The high level of complexity and demands for analysis make most students avoid math. Mathematical problem solving is an important skill that every student must have, because it is always related to problems that demand solutions. This article proposes an innovative approach using Information Technology (IT) to facilitate understanding of mathematical concepts, visualization of problems, as well as providing interactive exercises and instant feedback. The training method at SDK Marsudirini Tambolaka involves lectures, group discussions and practical exercises. Through this collaborative learning, students are expected to overcome obstacles in understanding and solving math problems. The results of the training showed positive responses from the Principal, teachers, staff and students, indicating the success of the implementation. By continuing to develop this initiative, it is hoped that STIMIKOM Stella Maris Sumba can continue to provide quality mathematics education and in accordance with technological developments. The school hopes that there will be further training activities related to Mathematical Problem Solving with IT-based Innovation at SDK Marsudirini Tambolaka to continue to improve students' math skills..

Abstract

Pada tanggal 2 Mei 2024, SMKN 2 Kota Tambolaka menyelenggarakan pelatihan Canva untuk siswa kelas XII jurusan perhotelan. Dengan tema "Pelatihan Canva: Langkah Awal Siswa SMKN 2 Kota Tambolaka Menuju Dunia Kerja", kegiatan ini bertujuan membekali siswa dengan keterampilan desain CV menggunakan aplikasi Canva yang kreatif dan profesional. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 30 peserta dengan narasumber Agustina Purnami Setiawi, M.Pd dan Adelbertus Umbu Janga, MM, serta mahasiswa Universitas Stella Maris Sumba. Kegiatan meliputi pengenalan fitur Canva, workshop mendesain CV, praktik langsung, serta sesi inspirasi dan studi kasus. Hasil menunjukkan siswa mampu membuat CV yang profesional dan menarik, mempersiapkan mereka untuk memasuki dunia kerja dengan lebih percaya diri.

Abstract

The workshop “Digital Articles for Sustainable Tourism: Integrating Literacy Culture, Green School, and Technology” at SMKS Bakti Luhur Tambolaka aims to enhance teachers' digital literacy and article writing skills, with a focus on sustainable tourism. This activity is designed to equip teachers with an understanding of the essential role of digital literacy in disseminating information on sustainability issues, particularly in the tourism sector. In the digital era, this literacy is increasingly relevant in helping teachers convey messages about the importance of environmental preservation through responsible tourism practices. In addition to digital literacy, the workshop introduces the Green School concept, an educational approach focused on environmental sustainability. This concept emphasizes reducing paper usage and promotes technology-based learning to support eco-friendly educational processes. Through the Green School concept, teachers are encouraged to integrate digital technology into their daily teaching, including publishing educational articles on sustainability on school blogs or social media. Thus, teachers are not only trained in writing but are also taught how to leverage digital platforms as interactive learning media. The workshop consists of material sessions, writing practice, and group discussions. Teachers are divided into groups to write articles related to sustainable tourism. They practice crafting messages about eco-friendly tourism into informative and engaging digital articles. The results of this activity show that the teachers not only gained technical skills in digital writing but were also able to create content that promotes environmental awareness among students. With these skills, the teachers are expected to become agents of change, spreading the values of sustainable tourism and environmentally friendly education to students and the wider community, aligning with the needs of education in the digital era.

Abstract

This workshop aims to enhance the critical thinking skills of teachers at SMKS Efata Omba Rade to effectively support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The main focus of this activity is to develop the teachers' non-technical or soft skills, particularly in critical thinking and contextual pedagogy. The three primary objectives of this workshop include: (1) increasing teachers' understanding of critical thinking skills in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, (2) strengthening pedagogical skills to support more contextual and meaningful teaching methods, and (3) guiding teachers in training students to think critically within the context of the tourism industry. This workshop is expected to enrich teachers' ability to apply innovative and effective teaching methods. The anticipated outcomes include enhanced critical thinking skills for teachers, a deep understanding of pedagogy relevant to industry demands, and teacher readiness to guide students toward becoming a creative and analytical generation. Thus, this activity contributes to preparing SMKS Efata graduates to face challenges and opportunities in the workforce, particularly in the tourism sector

Abstract

Workshop Sumba Ecobiz Challenge 2025 merupakan inisiatif pelatihan kewirausahaan pariwisata yang diselenggarakan pada 22 Mei 2025 di Laboratorium Komputer Jurusan DKV SMK Pancasila Tambolaka. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membekali generasi muda Sumba dengan keterampilan teknis dalam menyusun proposal bisnis, executive summary, dan pitch deck secara profesional. Workshop ini diikuti oleh 30 siswa yang terbagi dalam 10 kelompok, masing-masing berasal dari Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya dan Sumba Barat, serta didampingi oleh 10 guru pendamping. Peserta merupakan hasil seleksi dari 45 concept note yang dikirimkan oleh 25 sekolah. Metode pelatihan mengedepankan experiential learning dengan pendekatan praktik langsung, diskusi kelompok, studi kasus, dan simulasi pitching. Para peserta menghasilkan ide-ide bisnis yang inovatif dan berbasis potensi lokal, seperti produk kuliner khas, kerajinan lokal, serta layanan wisata edukatif dan berbasis komunitas. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap struktur dokumen bisnis dan kemampuan komunikasi ide secara efektif. Workshop ini juga memperkuat jejaring kolaborasi antar sekolah dan mendorong tumbuhnya ekosistem wirausaha muda yang kontekstual dan berdaya saing. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini menjadi pijakan awal yang strategis dalam mengembangkan kewirausahaan pariwisata berkelanjutan di Pulau Sumba sebagai upaya nyata pemberdayaan ekonomi daerah.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) helps improve efficiency, personalized learning, effective feedback, teaching effectiveness, as well as prepare students for a world increasingly dominated by technology. In today's digital era, the field of education has witnessed a significant transformation through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of AI in high school learning. The research approach that the compiler uses is a qualitative method with a type of literature study. Data is collected through various relevant article sources. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of this study is that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) has a significant impact on technological development in high school students and the education system, the application of new technology and new programs certainly has positive and negative impacts depending on how the user is. So it can be concluded that AI in high school learning if used properly and correctly will have a positive impact and avoid negative impacts

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan metode SAW dalam sistem keputusan seleksi siswa baru. Melalui sistem pendukung keputusan dengan menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) maka diperlukan kriteria-kriteria yang akan dipertimbangkan dalam seleksi penerimaan siswa baru pada SMKS Bakti Luhur Tambolaka. Kriteria-kriteria yang telah ditentukan oleh sekolah adalah nilai tes tertulis, nilai hasil wawancara, nilai rapor SMP, dan penilaian penampilan. Penerapan sistem pendukung keputusan dengan menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) dalam seleksi penerimaan siswa baru pada SMKS Bakti Luhur Tambolaka dilakukan dengan adanya alternatif yaitu calon siswa, kemudian penentuan bobot pada setiap kriteria. Selanjutnya perhitungan akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW).  Calon siswa yang dinyatakan lolos dalam seleksi penerimaan siswa baru pada SMKS Bakti Luhur Tambolakamelalui sistem pendukung keputusan dengan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) adalah sebanyak 40 siswa dan yang dinyatakan tidak lolos adalah sebanyak 10 siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to map and analyze global trends in the field of Educational Administration, focusing on knowledge absorption and innovation using bibliometric techniques. The method used involves bibliometric analysis to identify publication patterns, research trends, and relationships between subfields of knowledge. Research data were taken from various global academic literature relevant to educational administration and innovation. In collecting data, the researcher uses a literature system as a reference, namely Publish or Perish. In this application, we can select related articles or journal data from Crossref, Google Scholar, Google Scholar Profile, PubMed, Microsoft Academic, Scopus, and Web of Science. Research results show that innovation and knowledge absorption in educational administration are still concentrated in developed countries, while many institutions in developing countries face challenges in adopting these innovations. Furthermore, it was found that international collaboration and technology integration are key factors for the success of educational innovation. This study provides an important contribution to understanding global trends in educational innovation and offers recommendations to strengthen the adoption of innovations through better international collaboration and technology integration.
