Abstract

This research analyzes Imām al-Shawkānī’s thoughts on war ethics within the Just War theory perspective, using the book “Nayl al-Awṭār.” The Israel-Palestine conflict is seen as an example of the abuse of power in just war ethics to the detriment of Palestinian civilians. Just War theory emphasises justice, proportionality and protection of civilians, yet Israel's military operations often violate these principles. Imām al-Shawkānī's thought in Nayl al-Awṭār had an Islamic perspective that emphasised justice and humanity in war. Integrating Just War principles with al-Shawkānī's ethics of war can provide a strong ethical framework to evaluate military actions in the Israel-Palestine conflict and seek a more just solution. Through a library research method and descriptive analysis, this study aims to contribute to the explanation of the connection between religion, ethics, and armed conflict, while promoting international peace and justice. Its practical implications highlight the significance of strengthening Islamic values in facing foreign cultural dominance, while its contemporary relevance underscores the necessity of upholding international law and human rights conventions in addressing armed conflicts. Thus, this research not only provides new insights into the ethics of war in Islam but also highlights the importance of actions to uphold humanity and justice in global armed conflicts.

Abstract

Sleep is a necessity for every human being in everyday life. However, several times are not recommended, including sleeping after dawn. In the hadith, it is also mentioned that the Prophet forbade his people to sleep after dawn. However, not all hadiths are authentic and can be used as evidence. Therefore, it is necessary to re-examine the validity and meaning of the hadith. To examine the meaning of the hadith, the author uses the study of tahlili. This study aims to describe the prohibition of sleeping after dawn from the hadith perspective with a scientific approach. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study prove that sleeping after dawn is not suitable for health, and the views of the scholars regarding sleeping after dawn are highly discouraging and make it a habit.

Abstract

AbstractThis article is specifically for knowing hadith narrators in their capacity as narrators, so their study is included in the field of Rijal al-Hadith science. In further discussion, from this branch of knowledge emerged the science of al-Jarh wa al-Ta'dil and the science of Tarikh al-Ruwah. namely the sciences that discuss the credibility, personal integrity and intellectual capacity of the narrators as well as living history (biography). In collecting data, the library research method was used (library). And this research is included in descriptive qualitative research with a literature review approach. This study attempts to discuss more deeply the thoughts of Imam al-Dhahabi> on hadith critics.Keywords: Asanid Hadith; Hadith criticism; Imam al-Dhahabi.AbstrakArtikel ini khusus untuk memperoleh kajian ashahhul ashanid hadis yang membahas perawi hadis dalam kepasitasnya sebagai perawi, maka kajiannya termasuk dalam bidang ilmu Rijal al-Hadis. Dari cabang ilmu ini muncul al-Jarh wa al-Ta’dil dan ilmu Tarikh al-Ruwah yakni ilmu-ilmu yang membahas tentang kreadibilitasnya, integritas pribadi dan kapasitas intelektual para perawi serta sejarah hidup (biografi). Sehingga tujuan dari peneliti untuk menemukan kualitas ashahhul ashanid menurut prespektif imam al-Dhahabi>. Abstract

The history of scientific journeys, especially in the writing of hadith, developed according to the demands of the times, several books of hadith that appeared in each period always brought the author's contribution in each of their respective books until in the VII century Imām al-Nawawi appeared with the book Riyadlu al-Salihin which became a book with the theme fadhail which is much in demand by all people at all times. Several books were found that preceded the writing of Riyadlu al-Shalihin such as the book Targhib Wa Tarhib by al-Mundziri, but in reality the book Riyadlu al-Shalihin is more in demand by various groups of people. After conducting qualitative research with a holistic approach, it was found that the background of Imam al-Nawawi's writing in writing Riyadlu as-Shalihin was based on the demands of the times and the social conditions of society which tended to prioritize worldly interests so that Imam al-Nawawi was moved to collect hadiths in a book to direct people -people of original purpose created, with a very systematic methodology of writing hadith by writing verses of the Koran at the beginning of the chapter and equipped with an explanation for each sentence at the end of the History became the major contribution of Imam al-Nawawi in writing hadith in the VII century so that the book with the theme Fadhail al -A`mal is more acceptable.

Abstract

Negara dan tanah air adalah unsur yang melindungi agama dari perpecahan, pertikaian, konflik dan permusuhan. Salah wujud kegagalan sebuah Negara ketika ia diatur dan hanya menjadi mainan pihak lain. Ketergantungan terhadap Negara lain menjadikan harga diri sebuah Negara jatuh terinjak-injak. Harga diri mereka dengan mudah dipermainkan dan darah mereka tak segan segan dikucurkan. Hingga denga terpaksa dan penuh rasa hina mau tak mau mereka mesti mengemis kebaikan Negara lain. Sebab kedaulatan Negara telah dirampas dan dipaksa untuk tunduk demi memenuhi keinginan Negara majikan. Hadirnya Negara memberikan ruang untuk melindungi agama dalam menjaga nilai nilai kemanusian, begitu juga seluruh agama yang dipeluk warganya. Salah satu nikmat dan anugerah besar yang diberikan tuhan adalah memiliki Negara yang aman dan nyaman yang jauh dari pertumpahan darah dan pertikaian. Oleh Sebab itu Negara merupakan alat yang sangat menentukan bagi tercapainya kemaslahatan, baik yang bersifat duniawi maupun ukhrawi. Negara merupakan payung yang memberi rasa aman sekaligus kesejahteraan bagi warganya. Selanjutnya guna mencapai berbagai tujuan bersama, disusunlah dasar Negara, undang-undang dan perjanjian sebagai aturan bernegara untuk ditaati bersama. Bela Negara adalah salah satu bentuk usaha dan upaya untuk tunduk dan memenuhi sebuah perjanjian (al-wafa’ bi al-‘ahd) yang menjadi acuan moralitas sebuah bangsa. Jadi pihak yang bertanggung jawab menyelesaikan polemic ini adalah para intelektual dan ulama.. sebab merekalah yang dianugerahi kedalaman ilmu hingga mampu menjelaskan argument yang dapat diterima oleh akal sehat. Untuk merawat dan menjaga Indonesia mutlak membutuhkan kehadiran orang-orang berilmu yang perannya sudah dibuktikan oleh catatan sejarah. Salah satu diantaranya Pahlawan nasional dan seorang ulama yaitu KH. Hasyim Asy’ari.

Abstract

The current issue is the emergence of subjective interpretations of hadith in the Tarekat Agung Tulungagung Islamic boarding school and the prevalence of mystical teachings among the community. Therefore, this article will examine the interpretation of hadiths related to mu’amalah, worship, and ethics, which are the pillars of the teachings of the tarekat at the Tarekat Agung Tulungagung Islamic Boarding School. The research method used is qualitative. The theories employed in this article are as follows critical history theory, theory of intertextual interpretation and theory of contextual interpretation. Several findings were obtained through data collection techniques such as interviews and observations at the Pondok Pesulukan Tarekat Agung Tulungagung. First, the hadith about mu'amalah narrated by Ibn Shihāb is understood by the mursyids and santris at the Tarekat Agung Tulungagung Islamic boarding school that in joining a tarekat, one must become a person who is useful to others as a means of getting closer to Allah. Second, the hadith about worship narrated by Imam al-Harith is understood that as a salik, one must always worship and devote oneself wholeheartedly to Allah through the guidance of the mursyid. Third, the hadith about morality narrated by Imam Bukhari is understood that a salik must possess three essential moral qualities: morality toward Allah, toward fellow human beings, and toward the entire universe. Thus, the understanding of hadith at the Tarekat Agung Tulungagung Islamic boarding school does not contradict the interpretations of hadith by scholars or academic experts.

Abstract

Perkembangan sejarah hadis dari masa Nabi Muhammad SAW hingga saat ini telah mengalami kemajuan pesat, termasuk periode kelima pada abad ketiga hijriah yang dianggap sebagai masa keemasan. Pada periode ini, praktik pengumpulan dan penulisan hadis menjadi lebih sistematis, berfokus pada pentashihan hadis serta penyusunan kitab-kitab hadis induk. Penelitian ini membahas pemikiran Muhammad Abu Zahwu tentang peran ulama hadis dalam memastikan keaslian hadis pada abad ketiga hijriah. Ulama hadis berperan penting dalam melawan kesalahan dan pemalsuan hadis yang muncul baik dengan sengaja maupun tidak. Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Faktor-faktor seperti pemalsuan hadis oleh berbagai kelompok mendorong ulama hadis untuk menjaga keabsahan hadis dengan mengumpulkan dan mengkodifikasikan hadis serta memberikan kualifikasi menggunakan metode penting. Pemikiran Muhammad Abu Zahwu dengan jelas dan sistematis menguraikan peran ulama hadis dalam menjaga kemurnian hadis Nabi SAW.

Abstract

The Islamic Ummah has agreed that Aisha was one of the companions and wife of the Prophet. He is one of the seven most memorized hadiths. His enormous contribution to the development of Islam is proven by the more than two thousand hadiths he memorized. However, ironically, some Muslim minorities, especially the Shia school of thought, still doubt Aisyah's existence. Denying his existence so that it has implications for the history he conveys is unacceptable. It is these ideological differences that become academic anxiety, and it is necessary to conduct a study of Shia ideology in assessing friends, especially Aisyah. This was done to know the reasons and Shia foundations in assessing the existence of the companions of the Prophet. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative research methodology with the type of library research and data mining techniques with documentation. The results of this study conclude that Shia has its ideology in assessing the credibility of the companions of the Prophet. The basis used by Shia in building their ideology is the Qur'an and Hadith, with various interpretations. Thus resulting in the conclusion that all of the Prophet's companions after the Prophet died were apostates except for a few who were still saved in their religion. Included in the apostate category is Aisyah. He is a disabled person, and his transmission cannot be accepted.

Abstract

This research examines Ahmad Hassan's thoughts regarding the fadailul amal hadith in the Soal-Jawab book. This research uses a qualitative approach. In data mining, a library research type is used by tracing various written sources to obtain other supporting data. Data analysis in this research uses the content analysis method by discussing in depth the content of information from the data collected following the research objectives and problems. The research results found that Ahmad Hassan, in principle, accepts the existence of the fadailul amal hadith. However, efforts to practice it must still be based on the criteria of maqbul hadith (sahih and hasan). As for the fadailul amal hadith, which falls within the dhaif level, Ahmad Hasan rejects its use as the sole source of law. The dhaif fadailul amal hadith only to complement the act of worship, which has a legal basis in the Koran or other maqbul hadiths.Keywords:

Abstract

Al-Idlibī's stated that several ṣaḥābah have criticized hadith, including Ibn Mas'ūd. This seems contrary to the fame of Ibn Mas’ūd as mufassir. So the contribution (criticism of hadith) of Ibn Mas’ūd becomes a necessity to examine how far he preserved the hadith at his time and what method he applied bearing in mind that at that time several other ṣaḥābah also did hadith criticism. The purpose of this research is to fīnd out the contribution of Ibn Mas’ūd in the fīeld of hadith, especially criticism of hadith. This research is closely related to the criticism of hadith at the time of the ṣaḥābah,after the death of the Prophet whichtheycould not ask him directly. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method, with the type of library research, based on sources from a number of classic books, books, journals which are then collected so that they become valid data. Based on the fīnal results of this research, through the criticism conveyed by Ibn Mas’ūd there are two methods that he applies in criticizing the hadith dukhān: 1) criticism of al-khārijī (sanad) delivered directly to the person who brought the news about dukhān,.2) al-dākhilī (matan) criticism which is applied through the ‘aqli approach (logic) and previous events (historical approach), namely when he was with the Prophet in the war of badr. [Al-Idlibī menyebutkan beberapa sahabat telah melakukan kritik hadis. Di antara para sahabat tersebut adalah Ibn Mas’ūd. Padahal, ia lebih terkenal sebagai mufassir. Dari sini, kontribusi (kritik hadis) Ibn Mas’ūd menjadi keperluan untuk diteliti sejauh mana ia memelihara hadis pada masanya dan bagaimana metode yang ia terapkan mengingat pada saat itu beberapa sahabat lain juga melakukan kritik hadis. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kontribusi Ibn Mas’ūd dalam bidang hadis, khususnya kritik hadis. Penelitian ini berkaitan erat dengan kritik hadis pada masa sahabat, yang mana pasca Nabi wafat mereka tidak bisa bertanya langsung kepada Nabi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif, dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research), berdasar pada sejumlah kitab klasik, buku, jurnal yang kemudian dikumpulkan supaya menjadi data yang valid. Berdasarkan hasil akhir dari penelitian ini, melalui kritik yang disampaikan oleh Ibn Mas’ūd, terdapat dua metode yang ia terapkan dalam mengkritik riwayat hadis dukhān: 1) kritik al-khārijī (sanad) dilontarkan langsung kepada orang yang membawa kabar tentang dukhān,.2) kritik al-dākhilī (matan) yang diterapkan melalui pendekatan ‘aqli (logika) dan kejadian terdahulu (pendekatan historis), yakni ketika ia bersama Nabi dalam perang badar.]
