Abstract

The unemployed from vocational high schools (SMK) is still high. Several factors, including the low job readiness of vocational students and the small availability of jobs, cause the high unemployment rate for vocational schools. This study aims to develop a learning model of Integrated Project Based Learning (PjBL-T) and test the effectiveness of the PjBL-T model in preparing vocational students' job readiness. The design of this study adopted the Richey and Klein model stages. This research was carried out in three stages: model development, internal validation, and external validation. This study used research subjects consisting of 10 vocational teachers, ten industrial practitioners, and 54 Automotive Engineering SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel students. The research objects used were SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel, Jogjakarta Automotive Center (OJC) Auto Service, Barokah Auto Service, Astra Daihatsu Armada, and Gadjah Mada Auto Service. The data collection techniques used were focus group discussions (FGD), questionnaires, and practice assessment sheets. Data were analyzed descriptively. The PjBL-T model is feasible and can be applied according to the learning objectives. The effectiveness of increasing student work readiness tested limited and expanded and improved very well with a score of 3.27.

Abstract

Abstrak: Internet adalah teknologi yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menghadirkan solusi bagi masalah di warga masyarakat. Keberadaan sebuah sistem informasi diharapkan menjadi jembatan komunikasi sebagai implementasi dari teknologi internet ini. Namun desain sistem informasi yang memudahkan dan pendampingan penerapan sistem informasi yang baik adalah diperlukan untuk meningkatkan minat warga untuk berpartisipasi menggunakan sistem pelaporan konsultasi keluarga. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan sistem pelaporan layanan konseling keluarga yang memiliki nilai kebergunaan yang di terima. Empat tahapan yang digunakan dalam program ini adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan penggunaan sistem, pengembangan sistem, dan evaluasi penggunaan sistem kepada warga masyarakat dan konselor di Kalurahan Ngalang Kabupaten Gunungkidul yang diwakili oleh 25 orang. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program ini adalah tersedianya sebuah sistem pelaporan konsultasi keluarga yang dialamat di http://lapor.ngalang.id. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kebergunaan (usability) menunjukkan bawah sistem ini berada dalam tingkatan diterima (acceptable).Abstract: The Internet is a technology to provide solutions for problems in society. The existence of an information system is expected to be a communication bridge as the implementation of this internet technology. However, an information system with a straightforward design and an information system with reasonable implementation assistance is needed to increase citizens' interest in using the family consultation reporting system. This community service program aims to develop a family counseling service reporting system that has accepted usefulness values. The four methods used in this program are socialization, training on the use, development, and evaluation of the use of the system to community members and counselors in Kalurahan Ngalang, Gunungkidul Regency, represented by 25 people. The result of the implementation of this program is the availability of a family consultation reporting system addressed at http://lapor.ngalang.id. Based on the results of the usability evaluation shows that this system is at an acceptable level.

Abstract

The unemployment rate for vocational high school graduates is still very high. Unemployment occurs because the level of work readiness is still low. Work readiness can be improved by applying competence mastery-oriented learning. Competence that is complete requires measurement tools or assessment of student work competencies to measure competency success. Therefore, this study aims to: (1) produce a product in the form of a practical performance assessment tool for students in the conveyor-based pandemic era with android control; (2) know the quality and performance of the developed tools; This research is development research using the method of combining the waterfall method and Borg Gall. This research focuses on product functionality so that testing is carried out by technicians with input from experts from the industry. The research data were obtained from observations, interviews, document studies, and questionnaires. The results of this study are as follows: (1) the product developed already has basic functions and can be operated using Android; (2) the results of testing by technicians from the aspects of functionality, reliability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability obtained a conformity percentage of 90% (Very Good), so that the tool can be used to test student work readiness in vocational schools or training institutions.

Abstract

Keputusasaan, menurunnya semangat dan tekad juang untuk kembali bangkit karena dampak pandemi COVID-19 dua tahun lalu adalah permasalahan utama dari para pegiat usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) di Desa Ngoro-oro. Kegiatan outbound bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan prioritas UKM Bangkit guna menumbuhkan semangat, tekad dan kerja sama tim baik pengurus maupun antar anggota UKM Bangkit. Sasaran utama dari kegiatan outbound ini adalah pengurus dan anggota UKM Bangkit Desa Ngoro-oro Kecamatan Patuk Kabupaten Gunungkidul sebanyak 30 orang. Pelaksanaan outbound menggunakan metode ceramah, metode praktek dan refleksi permainan. Kegiatan outbound meliputi adu yel-yel, game perkenalan, game konsentrasi, permainan ular tangga “kesehatan”, permainan tradisional seperti egrang dan terompah panjang. Selain itu permainan lari ban bekas, balap lari karung, balapan balon, estafet sarung, pralon bocor, permainan pipa air mengalir, dan permainan bola air. Kegiatan ini mendapat respon yang positif dari peserta berdasarkan semangat peserta dari awal sebelum dimulai kegiatan outbound ini dan dalam menyelesaikan semua permainan pos-pos yang telah ditentukan. Kegiatan outbound dapat menumbuhkan semangat, tekad dan kerja sama tim baik pengurus maupun antar anggota UKM Bangkit untuk kembali berjuang mengembangkan UKM Bangkit setelah mendapat tantangan dari situasi pandemi COVID-19. Selain itu juga melatih penyesuaian diri peserta outbound dalam menghadapi tantangan di lingkungan sekitarnya. Despair, decreased enthusiasm and determination to get back up due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic two years ago were the main problems of small and medium enterprise (UKM) activists in Ngoro-oro Village. Outbound activities aim to solve the priority problems of Bangkit UKM to increase enthusiasm, determination and teamwork, both management and among members of Bangkit UKM. The main target of this outbound activity is the management and members of the Bangkit UKM with totaling 30 people. Implementation of outbound using the speech method, practice method and reflection of the game. Outbound activities include yelling contests, introductory games, concentration games, snake ladder game "health", traditional games such as “egrang” and “terompah panjang”. In addition, used tire running games, sack races, balloon races, sarong relay, leaky pralons, running water pipes, and water ball games. This activity received a positive response from the participants, this can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants from the beginning before the outbound activity started and in completing all the assigned post games. Outbound activities can foster enthusiasm, determination and teamwork from both the management and members of the Bangkit UKM to fight again to develop the Bangkit UKM which is currently facing challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic situation. In addition, it also trains outbound participants to adjust themselves in facing challenges in their surrounding environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the association between home environment and larval indices during the COVID-19 pandemic transition. A cross-sectional design was carried out in this study. The population was the houses in two villages of Gamping Sub-District, Sleman, Yogyakarta Province. The sample was calculated by considering the confidence interval value of 95%, the margin error of 5%, and the distribution response of 50%. Accordingly, the minimum sample size was 207 households. The chi-square test was used to analyze the data. The home environment was associated with the value of the container index (CI), indicated by a significant difference p-value of 0.008 with a prevalence ratio of 3.630, which means an unhealthy house will increase the value of the container index by 3.630 times greater. Sanitation of the home environment showed a significant relationship with the value of the container index (CI) with a p-value of 0.019 and a prevalence ratio of 2.625, which means that poor sanitation conditions will increase the value of the container index by 2.625 times. The health of the home environment is associated with the mosquito larvae index.

Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel merupakan SMK yang bertujuan mempersiapkan siswa dengan kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pemeliharaan teknik kendaraan ringan (otomotif). Data tracer alumni SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel hanya meluluskan 10% atau siswa yang bekerja sesuai dengan keahlian otomotif. Lulusan lain justru banyak bekerja di luar keahlian seperti satpam, karyawan pabrik dan penjaga toko. Hal tersebut terjadi karena kurangnya kesiapan kerja siswa terutama tentang sikap, pengetahuan, ketrampilan kerja dan budaya kerja di industri otomotif serta sarana prasarana pembelajaran yang belum berorientasi industry. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberi pelatihan berbasis industri, meningkatkan pemahaman budaya kerja industri bagi guru dan siswa serta meningkatkan jumlah sarana prasarana pembelajaran berbasis industri. Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam PkM ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu, pelatihan tentang sikap, pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kerja pelatihan budaya kerja, implementasi dan pendampingan dengan metode workshop dan kinerja praktik. Hasil PkM menunjukkan peningkatan pembelajaran dan pelatihan berbasis industri yang berdampak terhadap ketrampilan mitra mengelola pembelajaran SMK yang terintegrasi dengan sikap, pengetahuan, ketrampilan, dan budaya kerja industri sehingga diharapkan SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel dapat menerapkan pelatihan berbasis industry secara mandiri dan pelatihan kompetensi menjadi kegiatan wajib yang masuk dalam kurikulum.

Abstract

Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) melaporkan bahwa tahun 2022 tingkat pengangguran lulusan SMK masih tertinggidibandingkan tingkat pendidikan lain, yakni mencapai 11,13 persen. Penyebab tingginya angka pengangguranini adalah kurangnya kesiapan kerja siswa SMK di industri. SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel berusahamempersiapkan peserta didik dengan kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan dalam bidang otomotif.Di sisi lain, data dokumentasi tracer alumni masih menunjukkan bahwa hanya sekitar 10% siswa yang bekerjasesuai dengan kompetensinya sesuai pendidikan. Banyaknya lulusan yang akhirnya bekerja di luar keahlianmereka disebabkan oleh kurangnya kesiapan dalam sikap, pengetahuan, ketrampilan kerja, dan budaya industriotomotif serta kurangnya sarana prasarana pembelajaran yang berorientasi industri. Berdasarkan permasalahantersebut, pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan berbasis industri agarguru dan siswa dapat lebih memahami budaya kerja industri dan meningkatkan sarana prasarana pembelajaranberbasis industri. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, seluruh tahapan PkM melibatkan praktisi industri otomotif.Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga tahapan yang mencakup pelatihan, implementasi dan pendampingan.Kegiatan ini mendorong peningkatan pemahaman terkait budaya kerja berbasis industri yang ditunjukkandengan adanya peningkatan skor pretest dan posttest.

Abstract

Vocational schools need to start addressing unemployment right away since it is a serious issue. Work readiness is prepared with the demands of the industrial world in mind. The objective of this study is to create and evaluate industry-based integrated learning models for EVL+i, or electric vehicle auxiliary, subjects. The research and development (R&D) design used was Richey and Klein's design. This research involved 34 students, 6 teachers from the automotive engineering department of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Tempel, and 4 professionals from the automotive industry. Practical performance tests and interviews were used as data collection methods. Based on the research results, it can be said that the EVL+i model was successfully developed and implemented in three stages of research. The EVL+i model can improve 6 aspects of competence of automotive vocational students, namely aspects of integrity competence, cooperation, discipline, work area knowledge, work completeness and time efficiency. The six aspects of competence have increased from the category of less good to very good with an average score of 1.82 in the limited trial and 3.72 in the extended trial.

Abstract

Unemployment is still a national priority that needs to be addressed. In 2022, vocational high schools in Indonesia had the highest open unemployment rate. The highest open unemployment rate is a result of vocational high school students’ insufficient work readiness. Therefore, this research aims to develop a learning and training within industry (LTWI) model, and to evaluate the model’s efficacy in increasing vocational high school students’ work readiness. The research employed a research and development (R&D) design by Richey and Klein with the phases of needs analysis, internal validation, and external validation. There were 12 teachers and 89 students from the automotive engineering department at Muhammadiyah 1 Pakem Vocational High School and 1 Puring Vocational High School, as well as six instructors from the automotive industry: GAS Auto Service, Automotive Jogjakarta Center (OJC), Bengkel Barokah, and RND Auto Service, participated in the research. Data collection strategies adopted were interviews, questionnaires, and performance tests. The data were descriptively evaluated, and the conclusions were drawn using a categorization formula. With an average score of 3.43, the LTWI model can be used to learn very well. With an average final score of 3.32, the efficacy of the LTWI learning model falls into the category of “very good”. The LTWI model can be applied effectively to learning in vocational high schools since it has a positive influence on students’ work readiness.
