Abstract

Membangun sebuah konsep diri sangatlah diperlukan oleh anak-anak. Kecerdasan emosional juga harus terbentuk untuk melahirkan control diri pada anak. Artikel ini membahas tentang hubungan antara konsep diri and kecerdasan emosional pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Sehat Ceria KecamatanMandau Kabupaten Bengkalis Riau. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Sehat Ceria Kecamatan Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis berjumlah 30 orang anak. Metode yang digunakan survey dengan teknik korelasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi data. Teknik analisis data adalah teknik statistik dengan menggunakan rumus pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian diketahui tingkat konsep diri anak berada dalam kategori baik dan tingkat kecerdasan emosional anak berada dalam kategori cukup. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar rxy yaitu 0.6030 lebih besar dari rtabel yaitu 0.364 (0.6030 > 0.364) dengan taraf signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara konsep diri dengan kecerdasan emosional. Tingkat hubungan termasuk dalam kategori kuat dengan nilai koefisien determinan sebesar 36.4%, artinya bahwa konsep diri memberi kontribusi sebesar 36.4% terhadap kecerdasan emosional, sisanya 64% ditentukan oleh variabel lain.

Abstract

This article focuses on the study of the relationship between verbal violence and self-esteem for children aged 5-6 years at Lundar Panti in West Sumatra Province. The study was a quantitative research with the type of correlation research. The sample in the study involved 52 parents who have children aged 5-6 years at Lundar Panti in Pasaman of West Sumatra Province. The data collection technique was used through a questionnaire for the parents. Research analysis used the correlation test of Pearson product-moment assisted by IMB SPSS version 23. In conducting the study, the variable of verbal violence was categorized as high with the range of 66%-79%. Whilst the variable of self-esteem for children aged 5-6 years at Lundar Panti in West Sumatra Province was categorized as low with the range of 40%-55%. Based on the results, the Pearson product-moment value was 0.405 with a probability of 0.003. The correlation coefficient value was 0.405 in the range of 0.40-0.599, which meant that there was a relationship that was categorized as moderate between verbal violence and self-esteem directed to negative because the r-value was negative, which meant that the higher verbal violence was, the higher rvalue was, the lower children’s self-esteem was.

Abstract

This article is based on the lack of parents’ knowledge to create a pleasant and exciting atmosphere for children, the lack of parents’ knowledge to make children feel unpressured by a sudden change, the lack of parents’ knowledge on children’s perceptions of risk and fears, and the lack of parents’ knowledge to educate the children when the children were getting a failure. Hence, the research in this article is aimed to find out the effect of smart parenting media on parents' knowledge regarding resilience for 5–6 years old children. The research used a quantitative research approach with experimental research. The population of the research involved 30 parents and the sample used was 30 parents who have children aged 5–6 years at Pembina Kindergarten Tempuling in Indragiri Hilir. The data collection technique was used through a true-false objective test. The results showed that there was an effect of the use of smart parenting media on parents' knowledge regarding children's resilience. It can be seen from the results of scores and percentages from the pre-test to the post-test. Thus, there is an effect of using smart parenting media on parents' knowledge regarding the resilience of children aged 5–6 years.

Abstract

Based on observations of parents at Kindergarten Al-Azhar 54 Pekanbaru, it was found that most parents had limited knowledge regarding the dangers of gadget use. Many parents provided excessive freedom to children in using gadgets, did not control the duration of gadget use, did not limit internet content accessible to children, lacked understanding of the impacts of gadget use, and were not able to properly guide children in using the internet appropriately.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Smart Parenting media on parents’ digital mediation skills during the pandemic at Kindergarten Al-Azhar 54 Pekanbaru. This study employed a quantitative experimental research design. The sample consisted of 34 parents who had children aged 5–6 years at Kindergarten Al-Azhar 54 Pekanbaru. Data were collected using a true–false objective test.The results showed that there was a significant effect of the use of Smart Parenting media on parents’ digital mediation skills. This was indicated by a tcount value of 18.848, which was greater than the ttable value of 2.035, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted, indicating a significant effect of Smart Parenting media on parents’ digital mediation skills. The magnitude of the effect was 78.14%, meaning that 78.14% of parents’ digital mediation skills were influenced by the use of Smart Parenting media.

Abstract

This study utilized a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. This study aimed to determine the parents’ involvement in early childhood learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Early childhood needs assistance during the learning process from home; therefore, the role of parents is very crucial since it gives a long-term impact on children's development. Changes in the atmosphere and climate of learning activities from the classroom to the home centainly bring new challenges. Respondents in this research were 102 parents with 4-6 years old-children in Pekanbaru. The samples were selected by using random sampling technique. The data analysis was presented in table. Overall, the results of the study on parents’ involvement which consisted of three indicators (parents' motivation, parents' perceptions of other people's invitations to be involved in children's education, and parents’ feeling) was generally high. This indicated that parents possessed good motivation to assist children in learning by understanding their important role and having confidence in accompanying childrens’ learning activities.
