Abstract

The learning process implemented so far shows a lack of collaboration skills among fifth-grade students, who tend to prefer working on tasks individually. This issue is caused by students' habitual use of smartphones and a lack of interaction with classmates. As a result, there is a lack of collaborative interaction among the students. This study aims to determine the improvement in collaboration among students during group discussions in the Pancasila Education subject in class V A at SDN 134 Panorama using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research involving 27 students from class V B during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research process consists of two cycles. Data collection was conducted through observation sheets and documentation. The average percentage of student collaboration in group discussions increased from the first cycle (66.05%) to the second cycle (85.21%). Therefore, the study concludes that the use of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model successfully enhances student collaboration.

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning is one of the main focuses in the world of education, especially in the current digital era. The problem of student learning outcomes is one of the educational challenges that educators need to pay attention to. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Wordwall media-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the learning outcomes of grade V students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects at SD Negeri 178 Gegerkalong KPAD. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a McTaggart cycle design, consisting of two cycles. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the learning completeness increased from 15.38% in the pretest to 46.15% in the post test. In the second cycle, the learning completeness increased even more to 88.46%. These findings show that the implementation of Wordwall-based PBL is effective in improving learning outcomes and student engagement in learning. This study recommends the use of PBL with the support of digital technology to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Education in the modern era demands innovation in the learning process to prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century. One of the innovations implemented is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, which encourages students to be active in problem solving. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing PBL in improving learning outcomes for bar diagram material in class IV SDN 178 Gegerkalong KPAD. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which consists of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results show a significant increase in student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, 85% of students achieved the Learning Goal Achievement Criteria (KKTP), while in the second cycle this increased to 96%. These results indicate that the PBL model is effective in improving students' understanding and learning outcomes in bar chart material. However, there is still one student who has not reached the KKTP, who requires further intervention from the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the GASING method in improving the conceptual understanding of multiplication and division of integers among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Kota Kupang. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of 62 students divided into an experimental group (31 students of class VII-A) taught using the GASING method and a control group (31 students of class VII-J) taught using direct instruction. Data were collected using a conceptual understanding test.  Data analysis used descriptive statistics, normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS. The findings of this study demonstrate that the GASING method is proven effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding of multiplication and division of integers. This is evidenced by the mean N-gain of the experimental group of 0.83 (high category), which is higher than the control group of 0.63 (moderate category). The independent sample t-test showed a value of t = 3.879 with a significance of 0.001 (p<0.05). Cohen’s d effect size of 0.985 indicates a very large practical impact. It is concluded that the GASING method is more effective in improving conceptual understanding of multiplication and division of integers compared to direct instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes on diagram topics for second-grade students by applying the cooperative learning model, specifically the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) approach. Initial observations revealed that the teaching methods were ineffective, with low student participation and limited understanding of the material. This research employed a classroom action research approach with two cycles. In the first cycle, the implementation of the STAD model resulted in an average success rate of 63.39 percent, which was considered inadequate. In the second cycle, improvements were made by introducing more interactive and engaging teaching media. These improvements led to a significant increase in the success rate, reaching an average of 87.4 percent. The study demonstrates that applying the STAD model significantly enhanced students’ learning outcomes and engagement in the learning process. However, some students still required additional support to achieve mastery. This study highlights the importance of continuous evaluation and adaptation of teaching methods to meet individual student needs, ensuring that learning objectives are optimally achieved.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada materi diagram siswa kelas II melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions). Observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang digunakan kurang efektif, dengan partisipasi siswa yang rendah serta pemahaman yang terbatas terhadap materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Pada siklus pertama, penerapan model STAD menghasilkan rata-rata tingkat keberhasilan sebesar 63,39 persen, yang dianggap belum memadai. Pada siklus kedua, dilakukan perbaikan dengan memperkenalkan media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menarik. Hasil dari perbaikan ini menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan, dengan rata-rata tingkat keberhasilan mencapai 87,4 persen. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran STAD secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa serta keterlibatan mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Meskipun demikian, terdapat beberapa siswa yang masih membutuhkan perhatian dan bimbingan tambahan untuk mencapai ketuntasan. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya melakukan evaluasi berkelanjutan dan menyesuaikan metode pembelajaran agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan individu siswa, sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai dengan optimal. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa berdasarkan hasil PISA 2018 yang dirilis OECD (2019) yang menunjukan bahwa rata-rata skor matematika peserta didik Indonesia mencapai 379 dengan skor rata-rata OECD 487. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis alur “MERDEKA” sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi literasi numerasi siswa khususnya pada bidang kajian bilangan dalam rangka mendukung tercapainya indikator hasil belajar siswa dan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai respon siswa terhadap penggunaan LKPD berbasis alur “MERDEKA” pada bidang kajian bilangan di SD kelas 1. Penelitian ini metode penelitian desain didaktis (didactical design research) yang meliputi tahap analisis prospektif, analisis metapedadidaktis, dan analisis retrospektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKPD matematika bidang kajian bilangan berbasis alur “MERDEKA” sangat layak untuk digunakan dengan persentase sebesar 93,3% dengan kategori sangat layak menurut ahli materi dan ahli desain LKPD. Sedangkan hasil uji coba terhadap peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa LKPD matematika bidang kajian bilangan berbasis alur “MERDEKA”ini menunjukkan persentase sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat layak. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa LKPD matematika bidang kajian bilangan berbasis alur “MERDEKA”ini dapat digunakan untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami materi bilangan siswa kelas 1 SD dan mendukung pembelajaran berdiferensiasi.
