Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kategori tindak tutur ilokusi yang disampaikan oleh Anies Baswedan dalam acara Narasi Mata Najwa dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC) dengan analisis data; reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa tuturan yang disampaikan Anies Baswedan terdapat 5 kategori tindak tutur ilokusi meliputi tuturan direktif; (melarang, menyarankan & memerintah), tuturan komisif;(menawarkan & menjanjikan) , tuturan deklarasi; (memutuskan, mengizinkan & menyangkal), tuturan ekspresif; (mengharapkan, berterimakasih, mengenang, bersyukur & kekaguman), dan tuturan asertif; (menyatakan & melaporkan). Dominasi tuturan ilokusi yang digunakan adalah tuturan asertif

Abstract

Penelitian kali ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji realisasi prinsip kerja sama antara para bacapres 2024 dengan pembawa. metode yang digunakan yaitu simak dan transkrip dalam mengumpulkan data. Sumber data berupa video dari kanal Youtube Najwa Shihab “Bacapres Bicara Gagasan” dan data penelitian dari tuturan baik bacapres dan juga pembawa acara dengan fokus pada tiga pertanyaan bertopik sama. Hasil yang ditemukan sebanyak 12 data dengan hasil sebagai berikut: realisasi pematuhan maksim terjadi pada 4 maksim, di antaranya 3 maksim kuantitas, 2 maksim kualitas, 1 maksim relevansi, serta 1 maksim pelaksanaan, sedangkan pelanggaran prinsip kerja sama terjadi pada 4 maksim, di antaranya 1 maksim kuantitas, 1 maksim kualitas, 2 maksim relevansi, serta 1 maksim pelaksanaan/cara.

Abstract

Deddy Corbuzier's podcast that discussed the Palestine-Gaza-Israel issue had several illocutionary speech acts providing deeper information, ideas, and thoughts about topics related to Palestine-Gaza-Israel. The purpose of this research was to find out the types, functions, and influences of illocutionary speech acts in Deddy Corbuzier's podcast,. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative by employing listening and recording techniques. The data obtained were int the forms of the transcripts from the Deddy Corbuzier podcast video on the Youtube channel aired on November 28, 2023 with a duration of 44 minutes 59 seconds. This research found a total of 102 speech acts, dominated by the assertive speech as the discourse in the video showed clear and transparent utterances without personally crossing the line with the interlocutor to avoid any conflict even though the way of delivery was firm and straightforward. This research implied that the podcast with the topic Palestine-Gaza-Israel influenced public opinion, strengthened solidarity, enriched insight into effective communication, and social media as a suggestion for representing the issue.

Abstract

Netflix sebagai layanan video on-demand terbesar di dunia menyediakan berbagai tayangan dengan cerita-cerita yang menarik untuk ditonton, salah satunya adalah serial drama Gadis Kretek yang tayang pada November 2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji stereotip gender dalam pengenalan citra perempuan pada episode pertama serial Gadis Kretek dengan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif mendeskripsikan stereotip gender perempuan yang diperkenalkan di episode pertama serial Gadis Kretek. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode simak dengan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga tahap di antaranya reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa stereotip gender dalam pengenalan citra perempuan pada episode pertama serial drama Gadis Kretek.

Abstract

Language has a very close relationship with the human brain, so if there is damage to brain cells, it will result in language disorders. For example, stroke is the main cause of aphasia. Sufferers will experience difficulties in interacting, which results in the emergence of deviations in grammar. This article aims to show deviations in the 7 language components of two ischemic stroke sufferers and their comparisons. The method used is qualitative, with data collection through interviews and observation techniques both subjectively and objectively. This research is a case study using 2 informants, namely Mr. R and Mrs. O, who are both 64 years old. At the data analysis stage, the data will be identified first based on speech, writing, and behavior. Then, the three resulting data will be grouped, and finally, the results of classifying forms of deviation based on the 7 language components. From this study, it can be seen that there are differences in the decrease in the 7 language components experienced by the two informants. Where Mr. R has decreased language skills in aspects of fluency, reading, and writing. It is different in the case of Mrs. O, who has limitations in terms of content and repetition. But both of them are equally capable in the aspects of naming and comprehension.

Abstract

The case of bullying and mistreatment of several junior high school students against their colleagues went viral on social media. The incident was massively publicized by various media, one of which was online news. This research uses qualitative research with Theo van Leeuwen's discourse analysis theory approach. The data taken from this study are words, phrases, and clauses related to van Leeuwen's exclusion and inclusion strategies in the discourse of bullying news on Detik.com, CNN Indonesia, Liputan6.com, and Tribun Jateng media. The result is that the nominalization exclusion strategy is found in one news discourse text. Furthermore, inclusion strategies in the form of differentiation-indifference, objectivation-abstraction, nomination-categorization, nomination-identification, and assimilation-individualization are found in four news discourse texts, and association-dissociation is found in two news discourse texts. The exclusion strategy in the news discourse texts functions as the removal of actors who bullied junior high school students in Cilacap, Central Java. However, the use of inclusion strategy is more featured in the news discourse texts.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of how tvonenews.com online media frames political news so that it can influence public opinion through news informed about the 2024 presidential candidate. This study utilizes Pan and Kosicki's analysis, with the research aspects being syntax, script, thematic, and rhetorical. The approach was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The results found that there are similarities and differences in the construction of the three news articles analyzed. The similarity of the three news lies in the script and thematic structure, each news is equipped with 5W+1H elements to form a coherent sentence. Meanwhile, the syntactic and rhetorical structures differ substantially, seen from the use of headlines, image selection, and word usage in the news.

Abstract

AbstrakPermasalahan yang perlu diselesaikan melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah (1) masih kurangnya mahasiswa yang sadar akan peluang keuntungan dari produksi suara (Voice Production) terhadap perekonomian; (2) terdapatnya mahasiswa yang belum memahami bagaimana memproduksi produksi suara (Voice Production) secara mandiri, dan (3) terdapatnya mahasiswa yang belum mengetahui berbagai jenis produksi suara (Voice Production) yang dapat dipelajari dan dioleh menjadi sebuah produk yang bisa diperjualkan. Sasaran utama pada pelatihan voice production ini anggota eSKa Radio yang merupakan mahasiswa dari Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Pelatihan Kewirausahaan dan Produksi Suara (Voice Production) menggunakan metode pelatihan atau workshop terkait produksi suara (Voice Production). Terdapat dua jenis workshop utama, yaitu; 1) workshop voice production, dan 2) workshop kewirausahaan voice production. Workshop tersebut mencakup pelatihan podcast, dubbing, voice over, dan narrator, serta pelatihan kewirausahaan. Tahapan yang akan dilakukan dalam pelatihan adalah persiapan, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan Kewirausahaan dan Keterampilan Voice Production Sebagai Peluang Usaha di Bidang Industri Kreatif telah terlaksana dimulai dari persiapan, melaksanakan pelatihan, dan melakukan evaluasi pelatihan. Tahap persiapan membahas persiapan acara, persiapan waktu serta persiapan konten materi kegiatan. Skor tertinggi tanggapan peserta terhadap pelatihan kewirausahaan pada indikator Memahami dan bisa membuat analisis SWOT yang berada pada kategori baik. Skor tertinggi tanggapan peserta terhadap pelatihan voice production pada indikator Mengetahui dan dapat menyebutkan berbagai perangkat keras yang digunakan dalam perekaman voice production dengan skor 390 yang berada pada kategori baik. Skor tertinggi tanggapan peserta terhadap intensi berwirausaha dan peluang usaha di bidang industri kreatif melalui indikator lebih suka menjadi pengusaha daripada menjadi karyawan dengan skor 420 yang berada pada kategori baik.Kata Kunci: pelatihan; keterampilan; kewirausahaan;  voice production; peluang usaha; industri kreatif AbstrakThe problems that need to be solved through this service activity are (1) the lack of students who are aware of the profit opportunities from sound production to the economy; (2) there are students who do not understand how to produce sound (Voice Production) independently, and (3) there are students who do not know the various types of sound production (Voice Production) that can be studied and converted into a product that can be sold. The main target for this sound production training is eSKa Radio members who are students from the Indonesian Education University. Entrepreneurship Training and Voice Production (Voice Production) using training methods or workshops related to sound production (Voice Production). There are two main types of workshops, namely; 1) voice production workshop, and 2) entrepreneurial voice production workshop. The workshop includes podcast, dubbing, voice over, and narrator training, as well as entrepreneurship training. The stages that will be carried out in the training are preparation, training, and evaluation. Entrepreneurship Training and Voice Production Skills as Business Opportunities in the Creative Industry Sector has been started from preparation, training, and evaluation. The preparation stage for event preparation, time preparation, and activity content preparation. The participants' highest score on entrepreneurship training was on the indicator of Understanding and being able to make a SWOT analysis which was in the good category. The highest score from the participants on the sound production training was on the indicator of Knowing and being able to name various hardware used in recording sound production with a score of 390 which was in the good category. The highest score from the participants' responses to the intensity of entrepreneurship and business opportunities in the creative industry sector through indicators of preference for entrepreneurs with a score of 420 which is in the good category.Kata Kunci: training; Skills; entrepreneurship; voice production; business opportunities; creative industry

Abstract

This study analyzes three Indonesian poems—Dengan Puisi, Aku by Taufiq Ismail, Episode by W.S. Rendra, and Cipasung by Acep Zamzam Noor—within the framework of literary psychology to explore their potential as therapeutic tools for mental health. The analysis employs nine criteria derived from the theories of Leedy (1969) and Mazza (2022), focusing on aspects such as theme, language, emotional depth, structure, cultural relevance, interpretive flexibility, complexity balance, and positive and transformative themes. The results demonstrate that these poems consistently support positive emotional reflection and responsibility, aligning with the study's objective to explore the therapeutic potential of Indonesian poetry. These poems avoid themes that could exacerbate mental health issues, such as despair, guilt, and suicidal tendencies, making them relevant and effective for use in mental health therapy in Indonesia. This research contributes significantly to the literature on poetry therapy by introducing a literary psychology approach to analyzing Indonesian poetry. The findings not only enhance the understanding of how poetry can aid emotional healing but also provide a foundation for developing culturally relevant and effective therapeutic methods in Indonesia.

Abstract

Hypnotherapy has become a widely utilized method in medical procedures, not only for reducing pain and emotional stress but also for enhancing recovery, reducing procedure time, and stabilizing physiological parameters. Language plays a pivotal role in hypnotherapy, particularly in the context of directive illocutionary acts, influencing individuals to attain relaxation. This research aims to identify and analyze directive illocutionary acts within scripts of progressive relaxation hypnotherapy and determine the dominant types and functions of speech acts. Employing a qualitative methodology, data were collected from the Indonesian Board of Hypnotherapy (IBH) Hypnotherapy Module. Data on speech acts were analyzed using the enactive model and the Directness Scale. The dominant directive illocutionary acts were identified as Focusing, Commanding, and Calming. This study provides insights into how language influences individuals in achieving relaxation during hypnotherapy. Based on the research findings, it is concluded that Focusing, Commanding, and Calming speech acts play a crucial role in guiding individuals into a trance state during the hypnosis process.
