Abstract

Pemanfaatan alat-alat peraga pada KIT Optik dapat membantu peserta didik memahami konsep cahaya dan alat optik, mengurangi miskonsepsi, dan meningkatkan keterampilan peserta didik termasuk keterampilan proses sains. Akan tetapi, penggunaan alat peraga pada KIT Optik di sekolah belum maksimal karena guru IPA belum memaksimalkan pemanfaatan KIT IPA dalam proses pembelajaran. Latar belakang guru yang tidak berasal dari bidang IPA atau fisika menyebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan KIT IPA. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep optik guru IPA melalui pelatihan penggunaan KIT. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah demonstrasi, diskusi, ceramah dan praktikum secara langsung. Mitra kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah guru-guru IPA. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini terlaksananya kegiatan pelatihan KIT Optik dengan baik di mana terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep guru IPA berdasarkan hasil tes. Secara umum, respon peserta sangat baik dan antusias mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 18 Makassar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning materi ekologi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 19 peserta didik SMPN 18 Makassar. Data penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa instrumen tes pilihan ganda yang sudah divalidasi oleh validator. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik purposive sampling yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Indikator yang digunakan ada 6 indikator keterampilan proses sains dasar yaitu; mengobservasi, mengklasifikasi, memprediksi, mengukur, menyimpulkan, dan mengomunikasikan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa bahwa dengan menggunakan model discovery learning keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 18 Makassar berada pada kategori sedang, hal ini terbukti dari skor rata-rata keterampilan proses sains peserta didik yakni 8,89. Kategori skor keterampilan proses sains peserta didik yang paling tinggi berada pada kategori tinggi dengan jumlah 7 orang dan persentase sebesar 37%, kategori sedang dengan jumlah 9 orang dan persentase sebesar 47%, kategori rendah dengan jumlah 3 orang dan persentase 16%.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji korelasi antara kemampuan menganalisis dan mengevaluasi Pada indikator keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII UPT SPF SMP Negeri 54 Makassar yang berjumlah 91 peserta didik dan tersebar di 3 kelas yang berbeda. Pengambilan sampel melalui teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel penelitian terdiri dari 44 peserta didik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat korelasi antara kedua kemampuan indikator berpikir tingkat tinggi menganalisis dan mengevaluasi dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,09.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the learning interest of class VII students at SMPN 18 Makassar using structured inquiry LKPD assisted by quick response codes on ecology material. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research method used is a survey method. The research population was all class VII students at SMPN 18 Makassar. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and a sample of 17 class VII students at SMPN 18 Makassar was obtained. The research instrument uses a non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire which has been validated by the validator. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics. The results of the research show that the learning interest of class VII students at SMPN 18 Makassar using structured inquiry LKPD assisted by a quick response code on ecological material is that by using the structured inquiry LKPD assisted by a Quick Response Code, the learning interest of class VII students at SMPN 18 Makassar is at an average value of the average is 64, which is in the medium category. Furthermore, the frequency of each category is that the interest in learning of the 17 students who were respondents, as many as 2 students (11%) had a very high tendency, and as many as 2 students (11%) had a high tendency, then interest in learning was in the medium category. with the highest frequency, namely 47% and 3 students (17%) had low interest in learning, 17% were in the low category and finally there were 2 students (11%) who had students' interest in learning in the very low category.

Abstract

Adjusting to developments in learning, educators are required to be creative and the quality of human resources must be improved through educational channels using science teaching aids. The research results obtained were that the response from alumni of the program study Science Education UNM before the workshop on making science props was 100% very interested in taking part in the workshop on making props and the response from alumni of program study Science Education UNM after the workshop on making science props was 76.5% of participants after it was held There will be a continuation of the workshop on making science teaching aids to develop teaching aids in science learning in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Therefore, training or workshops on making science teaching aids were held for alumni of the program study Science Education UNM.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify students' learning interest in science subjects at UPT SPF SMPN 54 Makassar. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population of this research is class VIII students at SMPN 54 Makassar. The research instrument used was a questionnaire of students' learning interest in science subjects. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling where the data processed was quantitative data. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques using descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate that students' learning interest in science subjects’ class VIII at SMPN 54 Makassar is in the good category (60%), very good category (35%), and not good category (5%). Students' interest in learning for each indicator is 82.75%, for the happy feeling indicator, the student interest indicator is 75.5%, the student attention indicator is 72.9% and the student involvement indicator is 81.56%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in learning motivation by using Quizizz media and student books in Class VIII SMPN 27 Makassar. This type of research is Quasi-Experiment research and quantitave approach with a research design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population was all students of class VIII SMPN 27 Makassar consisting of 10 classes with a total of 367 people, the sample was selected by purposive sampling, with 2 classes, namely class VIII 6 totaling 23 people as the control class and class VIII 8 totaling 23 people as the experimental class. The research instrument was a questionnaire of learning motivation and the data was analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this study learning motivation in control and experimental classes were at a moderate level with a percentage of 39%. Inferential statistical data on learning motivation can be degrees of freedom (dk) which is 44, so that the ttable is obtained 1.68023. so that the tcount = 0.719 < ttable = 1.68023. There is no difference in the learning motivation of students using Quizizz and printed books in class VIII SMPN 27 Makassar.

Abstract

Students must have critical thinking skills in order to be able to face various personal and social problems in their lives. Critical thinking ability is the ability to think reflectively and reason in making decisions. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the aim of designing an assessment of critical thinking skills in accordance with the concept of the critical thinking test model developed by Watson and Glaser with the title Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (WGCTA). In this article there are 5 indicators discussed in science learning, namely indicators: Drawing Conclusions (Inference), Assumptions (Recognizing Assumptions), Deduction (Deduction), Interpreting Information (Interpretation), Analyzing Arguments (Evaluation Argument).

Abstract

This research is a descriptive research with survey method. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of Numeration Literacy Ability of grade VIII students at SMP IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar. The population of this study was all grade VIII students at SMP IT Wahdah Islamiyah Makassar consisting of 3 classes with a total of 89 students. The sample was selected by saturated sampling technique so that the determination of the sample when all members of the population were used as samples and the number of research samples was 89 students. The research instruments are in the form of numeracy literacy ability test question instruments totaling 15 questions and critical thinking skills test questions totaling 15 questions. The data collection technique is by giving tests directly. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis techniques. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that 1) The level of numeracy literacy ability of students has an average value of 30.34 fsn is in the low category. 2) The level of critical thinking ability of students has an average score of 39.78 and is in the low category.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the diagnostic ability of ICP science students FMIPA UNM in the Electricity and Magnetism course. This research uses descriptive research with a Quizizz-based qualitative approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection technique used in this study was a multiple choice diagnostic test accessed through the Quizizz platform online. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, and average) and item analysis (index of difficulty and differentiating power of the questions. Quizizz-based diagnostic tests for electrical and magnetic topics are effective enough to evaluate students' initial abilities. Most questions have a moderate difficulty level and sufficient to good differentiating power; however, some questions have low or negative differentiating power and need to be corrected. The results showed that students' diagnostic ability in Electricity And Magnetism’s Course using quizziz platform was at 5,0 score which in a low category. This research serves as a basis for the development of better diagnostic tests to achieve learning objectives.
