Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the influence of the principal's leadership on the performance of West Jakarta Senior High School teachers, (2) the influence of organizational culture on the performance of West Jakarta State Senior High School teachers, (3) the influence of organizational commitment on the performance of West Jakarta State Senior High School teachers, (4 ) the influence of teacher competence on teacher performance at SMAN West Jakarta, and (5) the influence of principal leadership, organizational culture, organizational commitment and teacher competence on teacher performance at SMAN West Jakarta. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all teachers at SMAN West Jakarta, totaling 727 teachers, while the sample consisted of 100 teachers from 4 SMAN West Jakarta selected randomly. The research instrument used a Likert scale which was modified into 9 choices, consisting of 49 statement items spread over five research variables. The results of the analysis show (1) the principal's leadership has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, with a fairly strong level of influence (2) organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, with a fairly strong level of influence (3) organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. significant effect on teacher performance, with a strong level of influence (4) teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, with a strong level of influence and (5) principal leadership, organizational culture commitment and teacher competence together have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, with a strong level of influence.

Abstract

Memasuki era new normal saat ini, banyak perubahan pada di sektor kehidupan termasuk di dalamnya perubahan pada sektor pendidikan. Perkembangan teknologi digital dan dampak dari pandemic covid 19 mempercepat perubahan metoda pembelajaran. Saat ini pembelajaran bisa dilakukan baik secara daring, luring maupun hybrid, sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat harus selalu bertatap muka. Kondisi ini menjadikan harapan sekaligus tantangan tersendiri bagi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas perkuliahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisa pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap resiliensi akademik mahasiswa baik secara langsung maupun melalui efikasi diri mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analisa jalur. Populasi adalah seluruh mahasiswa yang kuliah di Kota Depok dengan sampel sejumlah 410 mahasiswa yang diambil secara random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pengaruh langsung dukungan sosial terhadap resiliensi akademik sebesar 0,261, nilai sig. 0.000, pengaruh efikasi diri terhadap resiliensi akademik sebesar 0,233, sig. 0.000, pengaruh tidak langsung dukungan sosial terhadap resiliensi akademik melaui efikasi diri sebesar 0.099, pengaruh tidak langsung 0,233 < 0,261 (pengaruh langsung). Kesimpulan dukungan sosial berpengaruh langsung positif signifikan terhadap resiliensi akademik mahasiswa, namun efikasi diri tidak mampu memediasi berpengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap resiliensi mahasiswa secara signifikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, menganalisis dan menghasilkan solusi tentang perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan, kendala, serta upaya untuk mengatasi kendala pada pemanfaatan sarana dan prasarana dalam mendukung pembelajaran yang efektif di SMKN 13 Bandung. Teori yang melandasi penelitian ini adalah teori manajemen yang dikemukakan oleh George R Terry meliputi Planning (Perencanaan), Organizing (Pengorganisasian), Actuating (Pelaksanaan) dan Controlling (Pengawasan). Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa revitalisasi sarana dan prasarana pada kompetensi keahlian Kimia Analisis telah dilaksanakan sesuai ketentuan dan standar yang ditetapkan, hal ini terlihat dari kesungguhan sekolah dalam perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan yang mengarah pada efektivitas pembelajaran produktif dan peningkatan kompetensi siswa SMK.

Abstract

The education curriculum occupies a strategic position. The Islamic religious science curriculum is the basis for achieving the goals that have been stated in the document and implemented in the process to realize competent students. Proper curriculum management is needed based on the yellow book and is considered Islamic. On that basis, this study aims to find: (1) planning Islamic religious science curriculum; (2) organization of Islamic religious science curriculum; (3) implementation of Islamic religious science curriculum; (4) evaluation of Islamic religious science curriculum; (5) obstacles in implementing the Islamic religious science curriculum; (6) solutions in implementing the Islamic religious science curriculum. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. Technical data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, concluding, and verification stages. This study resulted that: (1) curriculum planning at both Islamic boarding schools was carried out by determining curriculum objectives and contents, determining Human Resources (HR), preparing educational programs, compiling academic calendars and schedule activities; (2) organization is carried out by determining the pattern of curriculum organization, placement of Human Resources (HR); 3) implementation is carried out by means of socialization and direction, preparing lesson plans, determining approaches, strategies, and learning methods, providing learning resources and media, and structuring classes; 4) curriculum evaluation is carried out by carrying out learning evaluations, literacy competency evaluations, and communication; 5) obstacles in implementing the curriculum can be seen from psychological factors, sociological factors, and technical factors; 6) solutions and future improvement efforts in implementing the curriculum can be seen from psychological factors, sociological factors, and technical factors.

Abstract

This research is based on the non-optimal professionality of supervisors, which in turn has an impact (outcome) on the quality of learning output(output)in the form of increased creativity of teachers who overall the relationship between these components forms a system. The main problem of this research is how the implementation of supervision of the creativity of Islamic Education teachers in improving the quality of learning, both from planning, implementation, evaluation, follow-up. This study aims to find out the picture related to the implementation of supervision on planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up in increasing the creativity of Teachers of Islamic Religious Education Junior High School in Sumedang Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis is done through data reduction, organizing and grouping, examination, interpretation, and verification. The data analysis is further described according to the problem and the purpose of the research. The results showed that the planning of supervisory coaching of Islamic Religious Education teachers was developed based on the results of supervision in the previous year and contained coaching priorities with their achievement targets in the short, medium-term, and long term

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that the effort to improve the quality of education at the senior secondary level is the teacher's performance. With good teacher quality, the learning process can take place in a quality manner, which in turn leads to quality output. One of the efforts to improve the performance of Islamic Education teachers is the provision of certification allowances for Islamic Religious Education teachers to improve their performance, which has been low so far. On the other hand, the certification of teachers for Islamic Religious Education at the SMA / SMK level is also very important, given the limited limitations of the government in appointing teachers as Civil Servants, so that the existence of teacher certification can be an alternative in an effort to improve teacher welfare. This study generally aims to obtain an overview of the certification program, implementation, evaluation, constraints and future solutions in improving the performance of SMA / SMK Islamic Religious Education teachers in Bogor Regency. The specific objectives of the study were to determine the objectives and programs, implementation, evaluation, constraints and solutions in the future to improve the performance of Islamic Education teachers of SMA / SMK in Bogor Regency through optimization of the PAI teacher certification function. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation study. The results showed that the improvement of the performance of PAI SMA / SMK teachers in Bogor Regency through the teacher certification program has been implemented, and has had an optimal impact. This is shown, among others, by the level of teacher discipline in implementing learning at least 24 hours a week, being active in participating in training activities, workshops and educational seminars and improving the welfare of Islamic Education teachers. However, improving teacher performance is still constrained by both internal and external constraints. Internal constraints include low understanding, skills and motivation to carry out their main tasks and functions as educators. Meanwhile, the external obstacle is that the supervision of principals, supervisors and related agencies is still not optimal in an effort to improve teacher performance. The recommendations of this study include: the government needs to finance the implementation of the Teacher Professional Improvement program, apply strict discipline by making regulations for certified teachers, and the existence of cooperation between various parties in encouraging the teacher certification program. This is done by implementing strategic management in planning, implementing, evaluating and supervising the effectiveness of the certification program.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the condition of Madrasah Aliyah's performance is still weak in the management of education and learning. Weak performance is suspected to have not been implemented properly in strategic management at Madrasah Aliyah. The general objective of the study is to determine the performance improvement of Madrasah Aliyah in Sukabumi Regency through the application of strategic management and the specific objectives are to describe (1) Formulation, (2) Implementation, (3) Evaluation and control, (4) Results obtained, (5) Constraints that arise, and (6) Solutions to overcome obstacles that arise in the implementation of strategic management in improving the performance of Madrasah Aliyah. The grand theory used is Pearce and Robinson's strategic management theory. Using a qualitative approach, descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that in general strategic management has improved the performance of Madrasah Aliyah, and specifically as follows: (1) The formulation of strategic management has been implemented through the formulation of the vision, mission, objectives, policies, and madrasa programs through limited meetings. The formulation has not gone through a special workshop with a comprehensive discussion, (2) The implementation of strategic management has been carried out. Educational management implements madrasah-based management (MBM) by developing two integrated programs, namely madrasa managerial programs and madrasa academic programs. The implementation of madrasa management follows government regulations and foundation policies, (3) Evaluation and control of strategic management through four activities, namely an assessment from the Ministry of Religion through Madrasah Supervisors, activities of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) through Madrasah Self Evaluation (EDM) as the basis for the preparation of e-mails. RKAM and External Quality Assurance System through Madrasah Accreditation, Assessment from Foundation Management, and assessment of public perception. There are no specific criteria for assessment from foundations and the community, (4) The results obtained from the implementation of strategic management are an increase in the quality of education governance and the learning process. The implementation of education is getting better. Madrasah personnel can carry out their duties and functions according to what has been set. Students excel in various competition activities, both academic and non-academic, (5) Constraints that arise include limited facilities and infrastructure, not all national education standards are implemented optimally, madrasas do not have full authority, the majority of teacher status are Non-PNS so that their welfare is relatively low. is still small, and education financing still relies on Central BOS funds and BPMU from the Province, and (6) Solutions, all obstacles are gradually overcome to minimize problems in performance. In conclusion, empirically strategic management has been applied and can improve the performance of Madrasah Aliyah Sukabumi Regency. Improvement in the implementation of education and learning. Private Aliyah Madrasas follow government regulations and policies set by the foundation.

Abstract

Hasil survei Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2018 yang diterbitkan pada maret 2019 dalam kategori kemampuan matematika, Indonesia berada di peringkat ke-7 dari bawah (73) dengan skor rata-rata 379 khususnya pada peserta didik SMP. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan matematika di Indonesia berada pada kuadran low performance. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan matematika yang kuat. Salah satu kemampuan matematika tersebut ialah kemampuan literasi matematis Selain kemampuan kognitif perlu di imbangi dengan kemampuan afektif salah satunya yaitu Self-Efficacy. Sehingga kedua kemampuan tersebut memiliki keterkaitan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan matematika peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik SMP berdasarkan klasifikasi tingkat Self-Efficacy pada kategori sangat tinggi, tinggi, sedang dan rendah melalui strategi Brain Based Learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMP kelas VIII.3 berjumlah 39 oranng yang dilakukan di salah satu SMP di Jakarta Barat yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Sedangkan data sekunder dalam penelitian ini diperoleh beberapa literatur yang relevan seperti artikel/jurnal yang dapat menjelaskan tentang literasi matematis, Self-Efficacy dan model pembelajaran Brain Based Learning. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket, tes, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Pengumpulan data dengan angket dilakukan untuk mengetahui klasifikasi tingkat Self-Efficacy peserta didik SMP. Sedangkan pengumpulan data dengan tes dilakukan untuk mengetahui, mendeskripsikan serta menganalisis kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik SMP berdasarkan Self-Efficacy. Dalam penelitian ini, pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara yaitu pengarsipan data, membuat daftar data serta pengumpulan dan pengelompokkan data. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif menurut John W. Creswell dengan langkah-langkah yaitu: 1) Mengorganisasikan dan Menyiapkan Data yang akan Dianalisis, 2) Baca dan Lihat Seluruh Data, 3) Membuat Koding Seluruh Data, 4) Menggunakan Koding sebagai Bahan untuk Membuat Deskripsi, 5) Menghubungkan Antar Tema, 6) Memberi Interpretasi dan Makna Tentang Tema. Adapun hasil analisis jawaban tes kemampuan literasi matematis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik yang memiliki tingkat Self-Efficacy tinggi dapat mencapai indikator PISA dengan sangat baik. Kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik yang memiliki tingkat Self-Efficacy sedang dapat mencapai beberapa indikator PISA dengan baik. Kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik yang memiliki tingkat Self-Efficacy rendah tidak dapat mencapai indikator PISA.

Abstract

Implementing the curriculum, widyaiswara, and facilities are the main pillars in realizing the training process for metrological training participants in achieving the expected learning outcomes. Although the facilities can be considered adequate, the variables affecting improving the quality of learning outcomes of the metrology training participants need to be determined. The purpose of this study was to review the effect of curriculum implementation, widyaiswara, and facilities on the quality of learning outcomes for metrology training participants. This research method used a survey method with a quantitative approach. Data analysis was performed using linear regression test and T-test. The study’s results stated that the T-test on the variables of curriculum implementation, widyaiswara, and facilities, as well as their combination on learning outcomes, resulted in a significance value of less than 0.05 at the 95% confidence level. This study concluded that implementing curriculum, widyaiswara competencies, facilities, and a combination of the three positively and significantly impact the quality of metrological training participants’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The skill of mathematical understanding and student’s belief to mathematic are an important elements one student should have, to help students to solve mathematic problems, along with daily problems. One of the ways to analysis this is through a learning process where a situation, fact, and condition that polarize student’s cognitive structure are involved. In such situation, conflict between student’s knowledge and designed situation happened. The main problem of this research is about how the analysis understanding skill and student’s mathematical belief, are reviewed based on learning method (cognitive conflict strategy and conventional), and school rank (high and middle). This research is an experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. Cognitive conflict strategy is given to the experiment group, while conventional learning is given to control group. This research is involving 140 seventh grade students in Bandung City that represent schools in high and middle rank. The instruments of this research is Mathematical Understanding Skill test and Mathematical Belief scale. Data analysis used in the hipotesist test is t-test, two way Anova, and Scheffe test. The summary of this research is, In general, student’s mathematical understanding skill and student’s mathematical belief that is given the cognitive conflict strategy and school rank (high and middle) is significantly different than student that is given the conventional learning.
