Abstract

Mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam pendidikan telah menjadi elemen penting dalam membekali siswa menghadapi masa depan. Namun demikian, beberapa guru menghadapi tantangan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran, termasuk kurangnya pelatihan dan pendidikan, terbatasnya waktu dan persiapan, kurangnya kemahiran teknis, dan materi yang tidak memadai. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meminimalkan kesenjangan literasi teknologi di SD Pusaka Rakyat 02 dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam beberapa topik secara efektif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemahiran guru dalam literasi teknis di era digital. Praktik ini selaras dengan kebutuhan dan harapan guru serta secara efektif memotivasi mereka untuk menggunakan teknologi pembelajaran dalam pengajaran mereka. Pada akhirnya, inisiatif pengabdian masyarakat ini berfungsi sebagai sarana yang ampuh untuk meningkatkan literasi teknologi kepada guru, sehingga mampu memperkuat standar pendidikan secara keseluruhan di sekolah dasar. Integrating technology into education has emerged as a vital element in equipping students for the future. Nevertheless, several teachers encounter obstacles when it comes to integrating technology into the teaching and learning process, including insufficient training and education, limited time and preparation, lack of technical proficiency, and inadequate materials. The objective of this community service initiative is to minimize the technological literacy gap at Pusaka Rakyat 02 Elementary School by effectively integrating technology into several topics. The activity was conducted in three distinct phases: preparation, implementation, and assessment. The assessment results indicate that this community service activity effectively enhanced teachers' comprehension and proficiency in technical literacy within the digital age. This practice aligns with teacher needs and expectations and effectively motivates them to use learning technology into their teaching. Ultimately, this community service initiative serves as a potent means to enhance teachers' technology literacy, therefore, it enables to bolster the overall standard of education in primary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan program Kampus Mengajar di sekolah sebagai upaya untuk mewujudkan merdeka belajar. Selama ini para siswa dan guru melakukan belajar mengajar untuk mendapatkan nilai tinggi dalam ujian sehingga pembelajaran monoton dan kurang mengasah keterampilan siswa di tingkat pendidikan dasar, menengah maupun perguruan tinggi. Akibatnya, kulitas lulusan belum memiliki kompetensi yang dibutuhkan dunia kerja. Pemerintah berupaya mengatasi masalah tersebut melalui kebijakan Merdeka Belajar. Salah satu program Merdeka Belajar bagi mahasiswa adalah Kampus Mengajar dengan melibatkan mahasiswa untuk membantu sekolah melakukan kegiatan belajar mengajar yang menyenangkan terutama di masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian studi kasus ini dilakukan di salah satu sekolah dasar swasta di Jakarta melalui observasi, wawancara dan analisa dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Kampus Mengajar dengan mengirimkan mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan ke sekolah telah membantu pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar. Siswa, guru dan  mahasiswa sangat antusias meskipun menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Namun, guru belum sepenuhnya terlibat dalam kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa selama program berlangsung sehingga mahasiswa meragukan adanya perubahan berkelanjutan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar setelah program Kampus Mengajar angkatan 1 berakhir. Maka, program Kampus Mengajar selama dua belas pekan dirasa belum cukup untuk melakukan perubahan signifikan bagi sekolah untuk mewujudkan siswa dan guru yang merdeka.

Abstract

The digital era requires teachers to have competence in utilizing technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), in the learning process. However, there are still many elementary school teachers who do not understand and implement AI optimally. Therefore, this Community Service activity aims to improve teachers' understanding and skills in using AI as a learning medium through interactive workshops. The community service method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which was carried out at State Elementary School Pejuang 7 Bekasi involving 31 teachers. The success evaluation is conducted through a pre-test before the training and a post-test after the training by measuring several key aspects, namely: (1) understanding of AI concepts in education, (2) technical skills in operating AI-based platforms, and (3) the ability to design AI-based learning strategies. The results of community service showed an increase in teachers' understanding of AI by 31%, which was shown through the difference in pre-test and post-test results. Before the workshop, most teachers did not understand AI in learning. Still, after the workshop, teachers were better able to integrate AI as a tool in designing more interactive and innovative learning. Optimizing the use of AI in elementary schools can contribute to improving the quality of learning that is more effective, interesting, and in accordance with current developments.

Abstract

Guru-guru di SD Penggilingan 01 Jakarta menghadapi tantangan dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar yang adaptif dan interaktif akibat keterbatasan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI). Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi digital guru melalui pelatihan pembuatan bahan ajar adaptif berbasis AI. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah 20 guru dari SD Penggilingan 01 Jakarta yang terlibat secara aktif dalam seluruh tahapan kegiatan. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan, workshop praktik, pendampingan langsung, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan berlangsung selama empat bulan (Oktober 2024–Januari 2025), dengan memanfaatkan berbagai platform digital seperti Canva, Flipping Book, Socrative, Baamboozle, Padlet, dan Kahoot. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa 90% guru merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menggunakan teknologi berbasis AI dalam pembelajaran, dan 85% menyatakan bahwa pelatihan sangat relevan dan aplikatif. Selain itu, guru berhasil mengembangkan bahan ajar digital yang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan siswa serta mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih personal dan inovatif. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam peningkatan keterampilan digital guru dan mendorong terciptanya ekosistem pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang adaptif di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

In the 21st century, digital competency is a fundamental requirement for language instruction, necessitating the integration of technology into teacher training programs. This study investigates four pre-service teachers’ experiences in designing digital narrative videos using the Digital Multimodal Composing (DMC) framework. Adopting a narrative inquiry approach, data were gathered through reflective diaries and semi-structured interviews to explore how participants engaged with the critical, creative, and technical domains of multimodal composition. Findings indicate that pre-service teachers initially faced challenges in conceptualizing multimodal elements but gradually developed confidence in integrating text, visuals, and audio to enhance their instructional materials. They critically analyzed multimodal texts, structured their narrative-based lessons for greater engagement, and refined their technical proficiency with digital tools. Peer discussions and online tutorials played a significant role in helping them navigate the complexities of multimodal composing, fostering collaborative learning and iterative refinement. This study emphasizes the role of DMC in preparing pre-service teachers for technology-enhanced instruction through structured support, hands-on practice, and digital literacy training. By merging creativity with pedagogy, it highlights the importance of integrating multimodal composing into teacher education programs in EFL instruction.

Abstract

Purpose – Digital storytelling as a form of technology integration in education has provided a new way of learning Social Studies in elementary schools. Although its effectiveness has been proven in various disciplines, the literature discussing the specific use of digital storytelling in elementary school social studies is still minimal. This study aims to fill this gap by exploring publication patterns, research trends, and collaborations related to the use of digital storytelling in elementary school social studies learning.Methodology – This study uses a quantitative method with a bibliometric analysis design to identify publication patterns, research trends, and collaboration networks based on quantitative data from journals and scientific articles. Data were obtained from publications in the 2020–2024 period indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science (WoS).Findings – This study shows a notable rise in digital storytelling research in elementary schools during the first three-quarters of the analysis period, followed by a decline in the final quarter. Keyword analysis highlighted the dominance of "Digital Storytelling" (465 times), with other frequent terms including "Learner" (52), "Social Science" (40), and themes like motivation, perception, and language learning. These findings reflect a growing interest in digital storytelling for social studies, though the recent decline underscores the need for sustained strategies to maintain its relevance and effectiveness in schools.Contribution – This study's implications indicate that implementing digital storytelling in social studies learning in elementary schools has positively impacted student engagement and understanding.

Abstract

Events related to declining morale often occur in society. Sadly, the perpetrators of the incident were minors. This research aims to find out the moral values contained in the novel Si Anak Kuat by Tere Liye. This research uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis method. The data in this study are moral values in the novel Si Anak Kuat by Tere Liye. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out using analysis tables. The results of the study show that the novel Si Anak Kuat by Tere Liye has four main moral values in accordance with James Rachels' theory. The most dominant moral values are courage (22 citations), moral values of generosity (11 citations), honesty (12 citations), and loyalty (9 citations). The novel can be used as an alternative medium for learning literature in elementary schools. Teachers can teach the moral values contained in novels through characters in the story. This aims to enable students to understand and apply life values and develop children's language skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve motivation and academic achievement of fourth-grade students at SDN Cengkareng Barat 11 Jakarta by applying the Cooperative Learning model, Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI), in thematic learning on Theme 8: "Our Environment, Our Friend." Using Classroom Action Research across three cycles, data on lesson plan quality, teacher performance, student motivation, and achievement were collected. Results showed significant improvements: lesson plan quality rose from 70% to 93%, teacher performance from 74% to 96%, student motivation from 70% to 94%, and students meeting Minimum Mastery Criteria increased from 60% to 94%. These findings confirm TAI’s effectiveness in enhancing learning quality, motivation, and achievement, recommending its use in primary education for more active and collaborative learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the deconstruction of the Korawa characters in the novel Perang by Putu Wijaya. In the epic Mahabharata, the Korawa are conventionally positioned as antagonistic figures representing evil, while the Pandawa are depicted as symbols of virtue. However, through a deconstructive approach, the novel Perang dismantles this binary opposition and presents a new perspective on the Korawa. This type of research is qualitative, utilizing content analysis and supported by Derrida's deconstruction theory. Data is drawn from quotes in the novel that reveal shifts in meaning, the reconstruction of the Korawa character, and criticism of several narratives that have long been considered absolute. The results of the research show that the Korawa in the novel Perang is not only portrayed as the evil side but also as a group with complex characters, humanitarian values, and perspectives that can be understood. By deconstructing the dichotomy between good and evil, this novel offers a new discourse that history and the identity of characters are not absolute but rather the result of constructions that can be questioned and reinterpreted.

Abstract

SDN Pondok Aren 01 Tangerang Selatan memberikan fasilitas kepada guru-guru untuk membuat video pembelajaran daring seperti fasilitas wifi dan laptop dalam melakukan Zoom Meeting dengan siswa. Oleh karena itu, guru-guru di sekolah tersebut tidak kesulitan dalam mengajar online. Akan tetapi, tidak sedikit guru di sekolah ini yang hanya mengandalkan buku paket dalam proses pembelajaran daring. Hal itu menjadi alasan peneliti tertarik dalam melakukan penelitian di sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis, prinsip, dan komponen bahan ajar yang digunakan guru bahasa Indonesia di SDN Pondok Aren 01 Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru bahasa Indonesia dari kelas satu sampai dengan kelas enam. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Jenis-jenis bahan ajar yang digunakan guru-guru bahasa Indonesia di SDN Pondok Aren 01 Tangerang Selatan antara lain bahan ajar cetak berupa buku tema dan bahan ajar audiovisual berupa video pembelajaran. (2) Prinsip bahan ajar yang digunakan adalah prinsip relevansi dan kecukupan. (3) Komponen bahan ajar yang digunakan mencakup komponen utama, pelengkap, dan evaluasi hasil belajar.
