Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in the economy of Batam City, particularly in the Batu Besar sub-district, Nongsa. However, their development is constrained by low financial literacy and a lack of formal legality. This community service program (KPM) aims to strengthen MSME business resilience through a dualpillar strategy: digital financial literacy training utilizing the Artificial Intelligence-based application FinSense AI and formal legality assistance through the issuance of Business Identification Numbers (NIB) via the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. The service method involved baseline mapping, interactive workshops, door-to-door intensive mentoring, and evaluation. The program was conducted from June 6 to July 4, 2026, involving 21 students and 4 supervising lecturers targeting MSMEs in RW 08, Kelurahan Batu Besar. The results showed a significant increase in financial literacy, with 34 MSMEs actively adopting FinSense AI to separate personal and business finances and monitor cash flow health automatically. Furthermore, 35 MSMEs successfully obtained formal legal status with the issuance of NIB. The integration of technology-based financial discipline and official legal protection successfully minimized financial risks and opened broader access to formal financial institutions and government programs, significantly enhancing local MSME business resilience.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Batu Besar Village, Nongsa District, Batam City, remain largely unregistered despite operating near a strategic economic zone bordering an international airport, industrial estates, and the Nongsa tourism corridor. This legal gap restricts their access to formal financing, government support programs, and legal protection in business disputes. This community assistance program addressed the problem by facilitating Business Identification Number (Nomor Induk Berusaha/NIB) registration through Indonesia’s Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach (OSS RBA) system, in accordance with Government Regulation No. 28 of 2025. The program combined participatory qualitative and quantitative methods, comprising outreach, baseline profiling, face-to-face technical registration assistance, and document handover, implemented over one month. Of 38 targeted business owners, all of whom (100%) lacked an NIB at baseline, 35 (92.1%) successfully obtained registration between 18 June and 1 July 2026; culinary businesses were the dominant sector (15 businesses, 39.5%), and most owners reported monthly revenue of IDR 1-5 million (45%). The results confirm that MSME informality in this setting is largely a technical-administrative barrier that structured, face-to-face assistance can resolve within a short period. Legal registration opens formal pathways for these MSMEs to access financing, join the free halal certification program (SEHATI), and pursue partnerships with the hotel and resort sector in Nongsa, strengthening the resilience of micro-enterprises in this strategic economic area.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product price, sales location, and digital promotion on the sales volume of Ayam Geprek Awliya. The research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through a consumer survey and analyzed using the t-test and F-test to determine the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable, namely sales volume. The results show that product price has a negative and significant effect on sales volume, meaning that an increase in price tends to reduce the number of sales. In contrast, sales location has a positive and significant effect on sales volume, indicating that the more strategic the business location, the higher the potential for increased sales. Digital promotion is the most dominant factor influencing sales volume. Effective digital marketing strategies, such as the use of social media, online platforms, and digital advertisements, have proven to attract consumers and significantly increase sales transactions. Simultaneously, the three variables—product price, sales location, and digital promotion—have a significant effect on the sales volume of Ayam Geprek Awliya. Therefore, it is recommended that the business adopt a more competitive pricing strategy, choose a more strategic business location or expand delivery service coverage, and continuously improve the effectiveness of digital promotion to reach a broader customer base. By implementing the right strategies, Ayam Geprek Awliya can significantly increase its sales volume and strengthen its position in the highly competitive culinary industry.
