Abstract

Background: Salted egg production is one of the processed food sectors with strong market potential but still faces efficiency challenges, particularly in the egg washing stage. SMEs Digdo Bintang Telur in North Cikarang, as the partner in this program, still relied on manual washing methods, limiting production capacity to approximately 200 eggs per day and resulting in a high rate of shell damage. This Community Service Program aims to reduce the time and labor required for egg washing, minimize shell damage through the implementation of an automatic salted egg washing machine, and introduce digitalization in bookkeeping and marketing practices. Method: The implementation methods included socialization, training, machine installation, mentoring, evaluation, and the development of digital bookkeeping and online marketing. The implemented machine was equipped with adjustable speed control, cleaning brushes, inspection lighting to assess egg quality, and an automatic counter for clean and qualified eggs. The results showed a significant improvement, with productivity increasing up to sixteenfold and the rate of shell damage decreasing by 69%. Evaluation of digital bookkeeping revealed improved record accuracy, easier transaction tracking, and faster financial summaries through the use of digital applications and QRIS-based payments. In terms of marketing, analysis of social media reach and engagement (Facebook and Instagram) indicated an increase in online purchases of up to ten orders. Conclusion: This program proved effective not only in enhancing productivity through the innovation of an automatic salted egg washing machine but also in strengthening the partner’s competitiveness through bookkeeping and marketing digitalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in West Java regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an effort to increase operational efficiency. The method used is quantitative research with a survey via questionnaire distributed to 100 MSME players. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics to identify the level of understanding, benefits, barriers, and expectations regarding AI adoption. The research results show that 32% of respondents have used AI, with the majority using it for sales data analysis. As many as 75% of AI users find it easy to operate the technology, and 84% state that the cost of use is relatively affordable. The main obstacle is a lack of understanding of the technology, which has led to low widespread adoption of AI. As many as 52% of respondents expressed interest in taking AI training. This research concludes that although AI provides significant benefits in increasing efficiency, technological literacy and more affordable access are needed to accelerate digital transformation in the MSME sector. Recommendations include developing AI-based training and providing technology solutions that are easier to implement.

Abstract

Abstrak                                                                                 Keberadaan limbah yang berasal dari kemasan plastik ternyata dapat memberikan dampak negatif lingkungan, kesehatan manusia, dan keberlanjutan bumi. Dalam konteks penggunaannya, plastik digunakan sebagai salah satu opsi utama kemasan bagi produk pada unit usaha industri rumah tangga (home industry). Home industry Opak Pajaten menggunakan kemasan plastik pada produknya. Hal ini dikarenakan rendahnya pengetahuan mitra akan pengaruh kemasan plastik, dan jenis produk kemasan ramah lingkungan (eco-friendly packaging) yang dapat digunakan sebagai kemasan Opak. Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika), dan Universitas Pasim Bandung melalui Hibah Prioritas Unsika (HIPKA) Bidang Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) tahun 2023 melakukan PkM pada home industry Opak Pajaten untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra terkait salah satu jenis eco-friendly packaging yaitu Honeycomb Paperwarp. Honeycomb Paperwrap dibuat dari bahan daur ulang dengan keunggulan ringan sehingga sangat cocok digunakan sebagai kemasan pada produk unit usaha. Kegiatan PkM dilakukan dengan memperkenalkan produk Honeycomb Paperwrap sebagai rekomendasi kemasan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan harapan konsumen, dapat meningkatkan tampilan produk, serta tetap memberikan pengaruh pada kelestarian lingkungan.  Kata kunci: industri rumah tangga; honeycomb paperwrap; kemasan ramah lingkungan AbstractWaste originating from plastic packaging negatively impacts the environment, human health, and the earth's sustainability. In its context, plastic is one of the leading packaging options for products in home industry business units. Opak Pajaten's home industry uses plastic packaging for its products. This is due to the partners' low knowledge of the influence of plastic packaging and the types of environmentally friendly packaging products that can be used as Opak packaging. Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika) and Universitas Pasim Bandung, through the Hibah Prioritas Unsika (HIPKA) Bidang Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) tahun 2023  in 2023, conducted PkM at the Opak Pajaten home industry to increase partners' knowledge regarding one type of eco-friendly packaging, namely Honeycomb Paperwarp. Honeycomb Paperwrap is made from recycled materials with the advantage of being light, so it is very suitable for packaging business unit products. PkM activities are carried out by introducing the Honeycomb Paperwrap product as a recommendation for packaging that suits consumer needs and expectations, can improve the product's appearance, and still impact environmental sustainability. Keywords: home industry; honeycomb paperwrap; eco-friendly packaging

Abstract

Delays in the implementation of repair projects can significantly impact a company’s reputation and operational continuity. One of the main causes of such delays is the absence of effective project activity scheduling, which leads to untimely completion of tasks. Therefore, this study was conducted to minimize delays in the gas turbine repair process. By applying the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) and Gantt Chart methods to improve scheduling efficiency, this study aims not only to enhance the effectiveness of repair scheduling but also to forecast the achievable repair capacity within a one-year period, with a specific focus on the Transition Piece component. The findings indicate that the repair duration can be accelerated by 9%, and the repair capacity that can be achieved within one year is 22.22%.
