Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Develop a product in the form of a multimedia product based on local wisdom integrated with HOTS for heat transfer for fifth grade students at Sidorejo Elementary School. 2) Determine the feasibility of a multimedia product based on local wisdom integrated with HOTS for heat transfer for fifth grade students at Sidorejo Elementary School. This research and development model uses the ADDIE model. The data collection techniques used in this research include: 1) Interviews, 2) Observations, 3) Student response questionnaires, 4) Learning implementation, 5) Expert questionnaires, and 6) tests. Data analysis was conducted by calculating validity, student response questionnaire results, learning implementation results, and tests. The results of this development research are 1) Development of multimedia based on local wisdom integrated with HOTS for heat transfer material for grade V of SDN Sidorejo. 2) The feasibility of multimedia based on local wisdom integrated with HOTS for heat transfer material for grade V of SDN Sidorejo includes 3 aspects, namely validation, practicality, effectiveness. Based on the validation aspect, the experts obtained an average of 90% with very valid criteria. In the practicality aspect, based on the results of student responses, an average of 87.5% was obtained with very practical criteria and the results of learning implementation obtained an average percentage of 90.5% with very practical criteria. In the effectiveness aspect, based on the test results after using multimedia, an average N-gain of 0.845 was obtained with a high category and an interpretation of the N-gain percentage of 84.5% with very effective criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that multimedia based on local wisdom integrated with HOTS is declared suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of reading corners on the literacy skills of elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative research method Pre-Experimental Design with the type of One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. The subjects of this study were all fifth grade students of Bajangrejo State Elementary School, totaling 12 students. The data collection technique was in the form of a test. The sample used was the total sample. The data analysis used was in the form of descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests and parametric statistical hypothesis tests. in paired form sample t- test using SPSS 26. The results of this study obtained an average pretest value of 43.33 and a posttest of 71.25. Based on the results of the hypothesis test using Paired Sample T- Test obtained information that the calculated t value obtained -5.786 > t table 2.20099 and the significance value in the Sig column. (2-tailed) 0.000 which means 0.000 < 0.05, then it can be concluded that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This study shows that the use of reading corners has a positive and significant influence on the literacy skills in Elementary School.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing whether the application of differentiated learning has accommodated the needs of students' learning styles and reviewing in more depth how the application of differentiated learning in science subjects in optimizing the independent curriculum. The number of informants in this study was one fourth grade teacher. And thirty students in the application of learning in class. This type of research uses a qualitative method and uses a descriptive approach. Data collection through interview methods with fourth grade teachers, observation and documentation obtained from teaching modules, LKPD, produced by students, teaching materials and other supporting documents. Data validity testing uses triangulation of techniques and sources. The data analysis technique follows the Miles and Huberman procedure which contains three techniques; data reduction in the context of this study in the form of interview results, observations, documentation and student learning questionnaire results, presentation of data from the results of the reduction is presented in the form of tables and descriptive narratives and finally drawing conclusions. The findings of the analysis show that learning styles influence the achievement and learning outcomes through a differentiated approach. By implementing the four aspects and steps of differentiated learning, learning is not only more focused but also makes it look enthusiastic, the classroom atmosphere becomes fun which is supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure and improves student learning outcomes. This study, the application of differentiated learning is an effective approach because students get learning experiences that are in accordance with their interests and learning needs so that students become more motivated and appreciate differences in learning styles and teachers become more creative and innovative even though they sometimes add lessons outside of class hours so that students get good learning grades.
