Abstract

The result of physiscs learning of XI class MIPA students at MAN 2 Padang was not yet fulfilled the expectation, seen  in the student score that has not fulfilled the minimum completeness criterion (KKM) that determined. The purpose of this research is to see if there is influence of scientifically based on LKPD using discovery learning model to physics learning result. The type of research used is quasi experiment using randomized control-group only design. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Sampling of data is limited to two domains of learning result that is knowledge and skill aspect with written test instrument in the from of a multiple choice question on knowledge aspect and performance instrument by using a scoring rubric on skill aspect. The result of the analysis shows that rhe average of experimental class for the learning outcomes in the knowledge and skill aspect is higher than the class control. The result of the analysis show that the average of experimental class fot the learning outcomes is the knowledge and skills aspect is higher than the class control. It can be concluded that the use of scientific-based LKPD using discovery learning model has a significant influence on the student’s physics learning result of XI class MAN 2 Padang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a change in curriculum by the progress of education from time to time. One of the facilities in curriculum is a textbook. In the lesson textbooks used must contain the required curriculum structure such as excellence potential, local wisdom and  regional needs. One form of local wisdom and regional needs, namely knowledge or understanding of disasters that can be understood through textbooks. Suitable subjects to be integrated with disaster material are IPA. Where, Indonesia is a tropical country that is prone to disasters such as threat of lightning. Science subjects are one subjects that is very suitable to be integrated with knowledge about lightning. This study aims to determine the level of suitability of the science material with the curriculum objectives in science lesson textbooks for SMP/MTs class IX semester 1 and to determine the suitability of the science material in the science textbook of  SMP/MTs class IX semester 1 with lightning material. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population of the data in this study is all grade IX textbooks for SMP/MTs in semester 1 from various publishers in Indonesia and the data samples in this study are class IX books of semester 1 published by publisher 1 and publisher 2. The research data was taken using research instruments with data collection techniques through documentation studies. The results of the study showed that the level of suitability of the Science material with the curriculum objectives in the science grade textbooks of grade IX SMP/MTs semester 1 from publisher 1 with the appropriate criteria (82,294%). Whereas in the subject textbooks publisher 2 with sufficient criteria (72%). Then the level of suitability of the Natural Science material in the grade IX textbooks for SMP/MTs in semester 1 with lightning material for Chapter 1is not appropriate, Chapter 2 is not appropriate, Chapter 3 is not appropriate, Chapter 4 is not appropriate and Chapter 2 is appropriate.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model on the material of impulse momentum and harmonic vibrations in class X SMA/MA. The study was Research and Development (R&D) by using Borg and Gall model, which consisted of potensial problems, data collection, product design, design validations, product trials, product revisions, trial usage, product revisions and mass products. However, this research was limited to the design revision. Validation is done using instruments which was filled by experts. The validation of this research was carried out by three physics lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Padang State University. Based on the validation result by three validators, the validity obtained were 93.1 % in a very valid category. This means that HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model can be used in the physics learning process on impulse momentum and harmonic vibrations in class X SMA/MA.

Abstract

Education is an effort in forming a human character. Strengthened of the government by formulating Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2017 concerning Strengthening Character Education. But the reality in the field is not in accordance with the expectations that the government wants, this is in accordance with the questionnaire to students at SMAN 1 Batang Anai. It is known that the learning motivation of students is lacking due to the lack of practicum and its support such as student worksheets. Using student worksheets makes the teacher easy to deliver material, so that time becomes more effective. These teaching materials will be used by students during learning, therefore the students’ worksheets can be taken from the worksheet. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research by producing products in the form of student worksheets that are integrated character values by using the Learning Cycle 5E model on valid class XI fluid material. This research is a descriptive study using steps to prepare student worksheets according to the Ministry of National Education. This study aims to describe the validity of the student worksheets that have been made. Validation was assessed by three UNP Physics lecturers and one physics teacher at SMAN 1 Batang Anai which were conducted twice. The instrument of data collection used is the instrument validity and the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis techniques for product validity. Two results were obtained, the results of the first study produced a product in the form of student worksheets that integrated character values with the 5E Learning Cycle model. The results of the second study are the results of the validity test conducted twice, with the average value of the first validity being 84 with very valid criteria and the average value of the second validity is 92 with very valid criteria. So, the conclusion of this study is the integrated worksheet of student values with the 5E Learning Cycle is very feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

This research aim to produce products such mobile learning media based Android on  static fluid material is valid and practical.The type of this research is a development research This research procedure consists of seven stages including the potential and problems, data collection, product design validation design, revised design, testing product and the revision of the product. The subject of the research is that three of the lecturers as validators, two physics teachers, and 20 students. The data has been analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques. Research results are categorized as valid with the value of the average 86,64% , categorized very practical according to the teachers with the value of the average 90,33%, and categorized practical according to the students with the value of the average 85,92%.

Abstract

The development of internet based teaching materials has been following as well as the progress of technology, as supporter of Curriculum 2013. The impact of technological developments makes students tend to use technology itself rather than textbooks. Low competences of students are caused by lack of interest and motivation in learning. Mobile web Internet-based is of teaching materials an alternative solution to increase the frequency of learning. Mobile web applied in teaching discoverylearning model. Discovery learning requires students to be active in seeking information on mobile web teaching materials.The aim of research was to investigate whether there is a meaningful impact on the mobile web in the teaching material to the achievement of discovery learning knowledge competence of students in class XI MIA 7 SMAN 4 Padang as well as its contribution to the knowledge aspect. The type of research used was quasi experiment with the design of randomized control group design and taking the sample using random cluster sampling techniqueis used in this research. The research instrument used for affective was observation sheet; for cognitive, it used multiple choice questions; for psychomotor, it used the skills assessment sheets and exercise assessment sheets on teaching materials mobile web. The results showed there were differences in average were the error rate used zero point zero five for both classes of samples for knowledge competencies while attitude and psychomotor have average differences. Large contributions of teaching materials mobile web on the competence of cognitive was 32.1%. The average value of the result of the attainment of physics on control class before and after using discovery learning also showed the different average which was the error rate used zero point zero five

Abstract

The simulation of design of rectanglemicrostrip array antenna is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna is designed operate in 1.27 GHz (L-band) and consists of three element of the patch. The CST Studio Suite is employed in this simulation to optainethe low sidelobe level. This work aimed to produce the satisfyantenna characteristics for the SAR sensor. The low sidelobe level of the antenna is generated using Taylor Line Source method. Based on the simulation result, the antenna parameter such as S11, VSWR, impedansi (z) is -29.74 dB , 1.06, 50.05 ohm, respectively. the magnitude mainlobes = 11.3 dB and  value side lobe level for Ө = -60o is 16.6 dB, and for Ө = 60o is 20.3 dB. The results of this simulation enough to fulfill characteristic antennae mikrostrip array with a lobes side greater than 15 dB.

Experiment of free fall motion is one of phenomena in physic. Parameters of free fall motion still measured by stopwatch and meter. The purpose of research is development of free fall motion experiment set based on microcontroller with personal computer display. This instrument have highest precision and accuration. Abstract

Intravenous Fluids Drops are very important for the process of healing or treatment for patients. The function of infusion is to replace the loss of fluids or nutrients in the body. In Indonesia, monitoring system of condition about infusion is still done manually, but for the cases such a large hospitals which is the number of patients is not balanced by medical personnel, it is becomes ineffective so that it can cause mistakes in monitoring. A very serious mistake can occur are too late in replacing the infusion. The solution to solve this problem is to make an automatic infusion monitoring system with an alarm warning. This research is eksperimental research. The measurement technique taken is direct and indirect measurement. Direct measurement data is mass of infusion and indirect measurment data is the number of infusion drops and the percentage of infusion volume. The purpose of this research is to determine the design spesifications and peformance spesification of the instrument. The sensor used to measure infusion drops per minute is photogate and to measure the infusion volume is load cell. Motor Servo Tower Pro SG90 are used as automatic drip control and arduino mega used as a brain for this instrument. The display is use TFT LCD and using buzzer for alarm warning. The accuracy of infusion drops per minute system is 0,97 with error 1,25% and accuracy of infusion volume is 0,978 with error 1,944%.

Abstract

Prototype digital multi-electrode automatic resistivity meter is a prototype that is used to measure ground resistivity with 16 electrodes based on the ohm law principle. By selecting four electrodes as a measuring point, then injecting voltage through the two current electrodes, the potential difference between the two electrodes can be detected. Current and voltage data obtained can determine the value of resistivity or soil resistivity. This research is a type of research and development that functions to develop existing products. From the results of the study, it can be stated four results consisting of internal testing results, product manufacturing results and initial field testing results or limited trials. The results of internal testing are looking at the characteristics of the current detection circuit, then testing the relay module and multiplexer module. The products are made up of prototype boxes, cable electrodes, 16 nail electrodes and, 12-volt batteries. Preliminary field test results on a laboratory scale for current and voltage measurements with error percentages from 0,8% to 31,8% and 0,098% to 11,76%, respectively. Limited field test results for resistivity measurements at three different locations obtained an average accuracy of 78,05%; 78,89% and 84,05%, respectively. While the average accuracy was 77,50%, 99,74% and 99,41%, respectively.
