The implementation of physics learning is still not optimal so that it affects the achievement of students' competencies. One of the reasons is the use of teaching materials that have not met the demands of the 2013 Curriculum. The teaching materials used still do not contain learning models and approaches, besides that, students' critical thinking skills are still categorized as low. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using physics teaching materials based on a problem-based learning model using the CTL approach to improve students' critical thinking. This type of research was conducted by pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique. The research instrument consisted of a written test for knowledge competencies and a performance appraisal for skills competencies. The data analysis used includes descriptive statistical analysis, normality test analysis, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing for the similarity of the two means. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be stated that the use of physics teaching materials based on the problem-based learning model using the CTL approach has a significant effect on the competence of knowledge and skills, as well as the critical thinking ability of students.

Learning based on the 2013 curriculum is oriented towards students to be active and able to find their own material so that students are trained in developing the knowledge they have and are able to improve students' creative thinking skills. The fact found that the learning carried out was not optimal. One of the contributing factors is that the teaching materials applied in the learning process are not in accordance with the needs and characteristics of students. The purpose of this study was to produce physics teaching materials based on the inquiry based learning model with the CTL approach to improve students' creative thinking with effective criteria. This type of research is research and development. Research and development is a research method used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The object of the study was inquiry based learning materials with the CTL approach to improve students' creative thinking. The instrument used was the effectiveness test sheet. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that physics teaching materials based on the inquiry-based learning model with the CTL approach to improve creative thinking were developed effectively in physics learning. This can be seen from the aspects of knowledge and skills that have increased after using physics teaching materials.

Early childhood talent identification sport programs are needed to decide the potential of children in certain sports. It is expecting that children will be able to maximize sports achievements according to their talents. To find out a human's talent in sports, several parameters can be used for a measurement. One of them is the anthropocentric test, which is a series of processes for measuring the dimensions of the human body with in the form of body height and weight. Based on the results of measurement analysis, children will be able to identify their sport talents. Therefore, a website-based height and weight measurement system was developed that is able to provide information on measurement results and talents identification. The development of this tool uses the ESP 32 Dev Kit Module as a micro controller, an ultrasonic sensor for height sensors and a load cell for a weight sensor. The data are sent to the database contained on the website for further processing and analysis based on the measurement results of talent in the sports field. The measurement website page can display measurement results and identify type of talent that belongs to the child. Based on the results of measurement and data analysis, the accuracy of the tools for measuring body height were 98.7% and body weight were 99.5%, while the precision of the tools were 98.6% for body height and body weight were 97.4%.

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) activity has been carried out in Nagari Sunua, Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatra. As for Sunua's diversity, many young people drop out of school and do not have permanent jobs. This activity aims to provide training in the manufacture of aquaponic systems that combine freshwater fish cultivation with vegetable cultivation simultaneously. Partners will be given training on how to use freshwater aquaculture pond water to grow vegetables. Pool water will be flowed in the pipes where the vegetable seeds are grown. Pond water becomes fertilizer and nutrition for vegetables. Water that has passed through vegetables in the next pipe will be flowed back into the pond. This aquaponic cultivation pattern is very beneficial because it can produce vegetables and fish simultaneously in one activity. This can be a new type of business for partner groups that have not. In general, these activities can be carried out well and increase the knowledge and skills of the members of the partners involved.

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah belum tersedianya instrumen kecepatan tendangan pencak silat yang berbasis teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menciptakan instrument kecepatan tendangan berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini merupakan kelanjutan dari penelitian sebelumnya yang menghasilkan desain rancangan instrumen yang telah teruji secara empiris. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dan mengadopsi model Borg and Gall. Hasil uji reliabilitas yang menggunakan teknik test and retest, yaitu 0.671 pada kelompok sampel kecil (sample 14 orang) dan 0.746 pada kelompok sampel besar (sampel 32 orang) diperoleh hasil memiliki kriteria yang "kuat". Pengembangan norma instrumen melibatkan 382 orang sampel dengan kategori atlet dewasa. Kategori terdiri atas Baik Sekali (Putera < 0.31, Puteri < 0.36), Baik (Putera 0.32-0.39, Puteri 0.37-0.43), Sedang (Putra 0.40-0.48, Puteri 0.44-0.50) Kurang (putera 0.49-0.57, Puteri 0.51-0.57) Kurang Sekali (Putera > 0.57, Puteri > 0,57) Hasil analisis Ini menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat akurasi tinggi, dan layak dipergunakan sebagai instrumen kecepatan tendangan pencak silat.

Athletes require agility as a fundamental skill. A shuttle run is one method for assessing an athlete’s agility. The aim ofthis research is to design and develop a shuttle run instrument with recorded data based on Arduino. This shuttle runinstrument is used to assess a person’s speed and endurance, with the results being saved in a database and then sentto a website. Engineering research method is adopted in this research. In this instrument, an Arduino is programmedas a timer to calculate an athlete’s running time, which is controlled by sensors. The photodiode sensor detects athletespassing through the shuttle, and the ESP8266 module connects Arduino to the database. The data collected by theArduino is saved in a database and is accessible via the internet. The accuracy and precision of the timer of shuttlerun instrument is investigated. Ten students took part in the test to evaluate shuttle run instrument’s performance.Measured result shows the accuracy and precision of the instruments is obtained 80.8% and 99.5%, respectively.Based on measured result, the shuttle run instrument is accurate and precision for operating in agility assessment.

Indonesia merupakan negara yang cukup sering dilanda oleh bencana alam baik berupa gempa bumi, longsor, sunami, banjir maupun erupsi gunung merapi. Longsor merupakan salah satu bencana alam yang paling sering terjadi. Perkembangan teknologi memungkinkan melakukan monitoring terhadap bencana longsor dengan menggunakan Ground-Based Synthetic Aperture Radar (GB-SAR). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan formulasi dan parameter sistem GB-SAR serta program aplikasi untuk menghitung parameter. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan kajian teoritis tentang sensor SAR untuk monitoring longsor di area target. Aplikasi dikembangkan dengan memperhatikan semua parameter GB-SAR seperti kemiringan area target, jarak sensor, frekuensi kerja, gain antena, kecepatan gerak antenna, lebar berkas azimuth, dan berbagai parameter lainnya. Program aplikasi dan semua proses perhitungan dikembangkan menggunakan Matlab. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa formulasi dan program aplikasi dapat menghitung semua parameter yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan sistem GB-SAR. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, maka pengemabngan sensor GB-SAR dapat dengan mudah dilakukan sesuai dengan kondisi di lapangan dimana sensor akan dipasang

Pemantauan dan pengiriman data getaran dalam getaran mesin atau bangunan menggunakan sistem telemetri sangat dibutuhkan. Kerusakan sebuah mesin yang sedang beroperasi dapat diketahui dengan melihat pola getaran yang dihasilkan. Untuk mengurangi resiko kerusakan mesin diperlukan sistem deteksi getaran mesin dan proses pengiriman data yang dapat memberikan informasi secepat mungkin ke oprator. Pembuatan sistem terdiri dari perangkat keras, telemetri wireless, dan perangkat lunak. Perangkat keras merupakan perangkat mekanik untuk mendeteksi getaran. Telemetri wireless digunakan sebagai media transmisi data untuk mengirim data sensor ke mikrokontroler secara wireless. Perangkat lunak merupakan software yang digunakan untuk memproses data getaran menggunakan Megunolink. Hasil pengolahan data ditampilkan di layar monitor personal komputer dalam bentuk grafik sebagai fungsi waktu.

Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dan mengadopsi model Borg and Gall. Hasil uji reliabilitas yang menggunakan teknik test and retest, yaitu 0.671 pada kelompok sampel kecil dan 0.746 pada kelompok sampel besar sehingga diperoleh hasil memiliki kriteria yang "kuat". Persentase kecepatan reaksi akurasinya adalah 99. 334 persen, untuk kecepatan aksi adalah sebesar 99.288 persen. Hasil analisis Ini menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat akurasi tinggi, dan layak dipergunakan sebagai instrumen kecepatan tendangan pencak silat.

Science teaching should be done in an integrated pattern according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology materials were integrated into a discussion of the science. Science. In the 21st century the curriculum development of science need to be done to improve soft skills and hard skills of students. The government has demanded to improve student learning outcomes by integrating learning skills and integrated science teaching in junior high school. However, the real condition indicated science that teachers were still having difficulty in implementing integration of the physics, chemistry and biology learning material in science teaching. This can be seen from the average value of knowledge test result of students was 40.91 and this average value can be grouped into low category. The solution to solve of this problem was to apply science learning material on the our respiratory and the excretory theme by integrating learning skills to improve student competence. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of science learning material on the our respiratory and the excretory theme by integrating learning skills on the competencies of VIII grade students in SMP N 7 Padang. This type of research was posttest-only control designed. The research population was all eight grade students in SMPN 7 Padang. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The research instruments consisted of an observation sheet for attitude aspect, written test for knowledge aspect, and performance assessment sheet for skills aspect. The data which obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and comparison of two means test. The result of the hypothesis test stated that there was a difference in the competence between students who used the integrated science teaching material with learning skills on the theme of respiratory and excretory theme with students who didn’t use in aspects of knowledge, attitude, and skills. This indicated that the use of integrated science learning material with learning skills on respiratory and excretory theme has given a significant effect on the competence of VIII grade students in SMPN 7 Padang.
