Abstract

This study begins with the researcher's assumption that besides facilities and systems effective learning, there are other factors that participate in influencing students of SMAN 1 Mataram to be favorite school to other schools, namely the influence of the internal factors of the students themselves, such as learning motivation of students. Therefore the researcher feels it is necessary to investigate further, to ensure that the achievement or intellectual intelligence of students at SMAN 1 Mataram is built from within the students' personal. This study uses quantitative research with a non-experimental approach. The population was students of SMAN 1 Mataram, the sample was taken using random class. Data analysis uses the product moment correlation statistical formula. The results obtained by the relation of variables between students' learning motivation (X) with intellectual intelligence of students (Y) obtained by Fcount of 17.41 with Ftable of 3.34 at a confidence level of 0.05, it can be said that there is a significant relations where Fcount > Ftable. In other words the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and (Ho) is rejected. This can be explained that in addition to facilities and adequate learning environment conditions, students of SMAN 1 Mataram have a good level of motivation, so that it can affect the intellectual intelligence of students who study in the environment.

Abstract

This study explores the critical role of political education in strengthening democracy in Indonesia, a nation marked by vast cultural diversity and complex political dynamics. Despite significant institutional reforms since the 1998 reformation, challenges such as political polarization, limited civic engagement, and digital misinformation continue to undermine democratic consolidation. Through qualitative analysis based on in-depth interviews and document reviews, the research examines the current conceptualization and implementation of political education within formal schooling and non-formal settings. Findings reveal that political education in Indonesia often remains constrained by traditional, knowledge-based approaches, lacking emphasis on critical thinking, participatory learning, and digital literacy. Non-formal education and civil society initiatives show promise but face sustainability and integration challenges. The digital era presents both opportunities and risks, necessitating adaptive educational strategies that incorporate media literacy and ethical digital citizenship. This paper argues that to foster a resilient, substantive democracy, Indonesia must reform political education comprehensively—embracing innovative pedagogies, cross-sectoral collaboration, and continuous evaluation focused on civic engagement outcomes. Strengthening political education is not only a policy imperative but a fundamental civic responsibility to empower citizens in exercising their democratic rights and responsibilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Sabtu Budaya dalam memperkuat kearifan lokal (local wisdom) dan membentuk watak kewarganegaraan (civic disposition) siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Mataram. Urgensi penelitian ini berangkat dari kebutuhan pendidikan di Indonesia untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran yang kontekstual, holistik, dan berakar pada nilai budaya lokal, sekaligus memperkuat karakter kebangsaan di tengah arus globalisasi dan perubahan sosial yang cepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus (case study design). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan guru, siswa, dan kepala sekolah, serta dokumentasi kegiatan Sabtu Budaya di beberapa sekolah negeri di Kota Mataram. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif Miles & Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta diuji keabsahannya menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sabtu Budaya berfungsi sebagai media pembelajaran kontekstual dan berbasis pengalaman (experiential learning) yang efektif dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Sasambo ke dalam pendidikan karakter dan kewarganegaraan. Kegiatan seperti begibung, pertunjukan seni, dan permainan tradisional menumbuhkan rasa kebanggaan budaya, kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab sosial, gotong royong, serta toleransi di kalangan siswa. Lebih jauh, praktik ini memperkuat civic disposition melalui keterlibatan aktif dan refleksi sosial budaya yang menumbuhkan sikap partisipatif, empati, dan kesadaran demokratis. Implementasi Sabtu Budaya juga memperlihatkan keterpaduan antara nilai lokal dan visi Global Citizenship Education, di mana siswa belajar menjadi warga global tanpa kehilangan akar budaya lokalnya. Meskipun dihadapkan pada keterbatasan fasilitas dan variasi dukungan kebijakan, kolaborasi antara sekolah, guru, orang tua, dan komunitas budaya mampu menjaga keberlanjutan program. Dengan demikian, Sabtu Budaya menjadi model pembelajaran transformatif yang tidak hanya melestarikan tradisi Sasambo, tetapi juga membentuk generasi muda yang kritis, kreatif, toleran, dan berkarakter Pancasila.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine the actualization of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in the awig-awig of Balinese society in realizing ecological citizenship. The research was conducted in Tenganan Pegringsingan village, Karangasem District, Karangasem Regency, Bali. Using qualitative methods. Data collection was carried out through documentation studies. The research results show that the tri hita karana philosophy states in the rules is contained in awig-awig Bali society. The palemahan aspect, namely realizing harmonious relations between humans and nature in realizing ecological citizenship, is implemented in articles 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 37, 38, 51, 55, 61 which regulate the prohibition on picking fruit, cutting down trees, changing land functions, settlements, agricultural patterns, spatial planning and environmental conservation. The existence of awig-awig is able to realize ecological citizenship based on Tri Hita Karana.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan narkoba merupakan ancaman nyata bagi generasi muda, termasuk di wilayah pedesaan yang memiliki keterbatasan akses edukasi. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya intervensi berbasis pendidikan kewarganegaraan untuk membangun good citizen. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertajuk “Membangun Warga Negara yang Baik (Good Citizen): Sosialisasi Anti-Narkoba di MA Bustanul Wa’izhin NW Janggawana” dilaksanakan pada 06 September 2025 dengan melibatkan 25 siswa. Tujuannya adalah meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang bahaya narkoba bagi kesehatan, kehidupan sosial, dan masa depan; membentuk karakter siswa yang berakhlak mulia, bertanggung jawab, serta peduli terhadap lingkungan bebas narkoba; dan menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang sehat, aman, serta mendukung pembelajaran. Metode kegiatan meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan (perancangan materi, koordinasi, dan perizinan), pelaksanaan (ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, serta penggunaan poster dan banner), serta evaluasi (observasi, respons peserta, dan kuesioner pre-test dan post-test). Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan: pengetahuan jenis narkoba naik dari 35% menjadi 88%, pemahaman dampak kesehatan dan sosial dari 40% menjadi 92%, serta pengetahuan konsekuensi hukum dari 30% menjadi 85%. Pada aspek sikap, komitmen menjauhi narkoba meningkat dari 50% menjadi 90% dan kesediaan mengajak teman sebaya dari 45% menjadi 76%. Luaran kegiatan meliputi peningkatan pemahaman siswa, media kampanye berkelanjutan, pembentukan agen perubahan, publikasi artikel ilmiah minimal Sinta 5, serta naskah akademik. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa strategi sederhana, partisipatif, dan kontekstual efektif dalam membentuk warga negara yang baik (good citizen) sekaligus mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan pelajar.

Abstract

Evaluation of the learning process (through non-test) is often ignored by madrasah teachers in Mataram, at least getting less attention than learning outcomes (tests) as it is known that education is oriented to results and the process. Evaluation of learning outcomes and learning processes must be carried out in a balanced and simultaneous manner. Non-test evaluation tools are an essential part that must be considered by teachers, in addition, to test evaluation tools. If the teacher does not develop a non-test evaluation, it will impact the acquisition of student learning outcomes that do not describe the actual ability of a subject. Based on this consideration, training in the preparation of non-test evaluation tools is urgently needed so that teachers can carry out comprehensive evaluations using test and non-test tools. This service activity is in the form of training in preparing non-test evaluation tools in the madrasa environment. The method of implementing this activity follows the stages of preparation, observation of partner madrasas, training in the preparation of non-test evaluation tools, and follow-up. The activity results indicate that all stages of the activity went well and produced the product as determined. In addition, there has been an increase in participants' understanding and skills in preparing non-test evaluation instruments. It is evidenced by the average posttest score (75.00) is better than the pretest (32.12). This positive change is the answer to teacher problems in developing learning evaluations in madrasas.
