Abstract

This research aims to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on the STEM approach on energy material for 4th-grade elementary/middle school students in order to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The STEM approach was chosen because it is considered effective in integrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to enhance 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. The method used is qualitative research with a Research and Development (RnD) approach, adapting the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of analysis, design, and development. The development process was carried out through learning needs analysis, the design of LKPD, and validation by experts in content, media, language, and STEM. The research results show that the developed LKPD has valid quality and can be applied in learning to enhance students' understanding of energy material with a contextual and interactive approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) yang inovatif dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA), khususnya materi organ gerak pada manusia dan hewan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan beberapa tahapan, yaitu analisis kebutuhan, perancangan desain awal, pengembangan, serta implementasi dan evaluasi media pembelajaran. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di SD IT Al-Mumtaz, Kecamatan Cileunyi, Kabupaten Bandung, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V yang terlibat dalam uji coba skala kecil (10 siswa) dan skala besar (25 siswa). Instrumen penelitian meliputi observasi, angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik skala Likert untuk mengukur tingkat efektivitas dan kelayakan media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis AR ini memiliki tingkat efektivitas yang tinggi, ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep organ gerak manusia dan hewan. Uji coba juga mengungkap bahwa media ini menarik minat siswa dan mendorong motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi. Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada pengembangan media pembelajaran inovatif yang relevan dengan era digital. Media AR memberikan pengalaman belajar interaktif yang mendukung siswa dalam memahami konsep IPA yang kompleks secara visual dan praktis. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi pengembangan media pembelajaran digital lainnya, sekaligus membantu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Numeracy and literacy skills among some madrasah ibtidaiyah students are still low. According to public education report in 2022 at the elementary level showed that numeracy skills were still under the minimum competency standard. The cause of students' low in numeracy and literacy skill was the use of teaching materials that were not relevant to encourage their numeracy and literacy skills. Therefore, the aim of the community service activity was to provide training in making teaching materials based on numeracy and literacy strategies at one of the ibtidaiyah madrassas in Bandung City. This program applied a Participatory Action Research (PAR) with the model used, namely contextual action research. The results were the teachers grasped more understanding in numeracy literacy-based teaching materials, especially math teachers, numeracy literacy-based teaching materials were obtained, and the students' understanding of the basic concepts of numeracy and literacy was increase. The follow-up to this program was the dissemination of teaching materials to others madrasah ibtidaiyah in the city of Bandung so that these teaching materials can be implemented.

Abstract

This research is based on findings that students' low interest in mathematics subjects and the widespread assumption that mathematics is a difficult and scary subject, affecting students' numeracy. This is thought to be a result of students' math anxiety about. This study aims to describe students' mathematical anxiety and students' numeracy and describe the influence of both variables on grade V students of MIS Muhammadiyah Babakanloa. It investigated the relationship between math anxiety and numeracy among Class V students at MIS Muhammadiyah Babakanloa, involving 27 participants during the 2022/2023 academic year. The descriptive and inferential statistical analysis result shows that math anxiety negatively impacts confidence and accuracy in calculations, while objective numeracy acts as a partial mediator in the association between math anxiety and performance in numerical reasoning tasks, with no significant gender differences in numeracy observed. Students' negative perceptions of mathematics and the dull learning methods contribute to low interest and heightened anxiety in the subject, significantly impacting numeracy by 21.71%. The negative relationship suggests that increased math anxiety corresponds to decreased numeracy. These findings emphasize the importance for teachers to innovate and create engaging learning experiences to alleviate math anxiety and enhance numeracy among students.

Abstract

This research aims to develop STEM-based teaching materials for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects for fourth-grade elementary school students. This development is carried out to meet the needs of 21st-century education. This research method used in this study is R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model stages. This research uses qualitative and quantitative data. This research was conducted in the 4th grade of MI Baiturrahim. The data collection technique in this study used interviews with the 4th grade teacher, expert validation questionnaires including material, media, language, and STEM expert, as well as student response questionnaires after using STEM based teaching materials. The results of the validation test on the content feasibility aspect received a score of 87%, the graphic of 82%, the presentation of 79%, the language of 94%, and the STEM pf 100% and 97%. all validation test results from the 5 validators fall within the criteria of feasible. The score of all student responses after using STEM based teaching materials on a limited and broad scale received a score of 95% with very good criteria.

Abstract

An integrated curriculum is an educational approach that prepares students to face lifelong learning. In curriculum integration, schools must view education as a process of developing the abilities needed in life, especially in facing 21st-century life challenges, not discrete subjects that are divided into different fields. Integrated learning will provide the opportunity for students to understand the complex problems that exist in the surrounding environment with a complete view. With this integrated learning, students are expected to have the ability to identify, gather, assess, and use information that is around them meaningfully. This can be obtained not only through the provision of new knowledge to students but also through the opportunity to strengthen and apply it in a variety of increasingly diverse new situations. The main focus of this article is to analyze the implementation of integrated learning in the curriculum in Indonesia. The integrated curriculum developed by Robin Fogarty has many advantages that can be adapted in the development of education in Indonesia, including the revised Curriculum 2013. Academics and practitioners must comprehensively understand the nature of the ten curriculum models (Robin Fogarty) and Curriculum 2013 before making tools and implementing them in learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui desain awal media pembelajaran powerpoint berbasis ispring suite yang dikembangkan pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas IV di SD, untuk mengetahui hasil uji validitas media pembelajaran powerpoint berbasis ispring suite mata pelajaran IPAS kelas IV di SD, dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi media pembelajaran powerpoint berbasis ispring suite mata pelajaran IPAS kelas IV di SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D (Research and Develeopment) dengan menggunakan model tahapan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Hasil uji validasi ahli media mendapatkan skor persentase 90%, ahli materi mendapatkan skor persentase 95%, dan hasil validasi ahli Bahasa mendapatkan skor persentase 95%. Seluruh hasil uji validasi dari tiga validator masuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil skor persentase respon siswa setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran powerpoint berbasis ispring suite dalam skala terbatas yang berjumlah enam orang siswa adalah 92% dalam kategori “Sangat Baik” dan pada skala luas dengan jumlah 34 siswa mendapatkan hasil 91% dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”. Berdasarkan data yang sudah diperoleh dan pelaksanaan media pembelajaran powerpoint berbasis ispring suite mendapatkan hasil yang menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran powerpoint berbasis ispring suitepada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas IV yaitu pada kategori sangat baik dan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' speaking skills using the Running Dictation learning model. This research was motivated by problems that had been discovered from the results of a preliminary study in the learning process when students spoke English. That the students' speaking skills do not meet the KKM set by the school, namely 75. The research method used is classroom action research (PTK) with three cycles in which each cycle contains two actions. The subjects of this research were 25 class VI students at MI Integrated Ar-Rifqi. The data collection techniques used are performance tests and observation. The speaking skills of class VI MI Integrated Ar-Rifqi students before being given action achieved 32% classical completeness in the poor category. After taking action in cycle I, an average score of 66 was obtained with classical completeness of 54%, in cycle II there was an increase with an average score of 74 with classical completeness of 71% and in cycle III the score was obtained. an average of 81 with a classical completion score of 84%. Based on classical completeness, overall this research has reached ≥75% of the number of students who achieved the KKM, namely 84%. Thus, it shows that students' speaking skills after implementing the Running Dictation model in English learning have improved.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' English skills through the implementation of the Flipped classroom model in class VB of MI Miftahul Huda Bandung. The study addresses students' low understanding of English material due to the use of conventional teaching methods and limited class time. The research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over four cycles, each involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 21 students in class VB. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and written tests. The results showed an improvement in students' comprehension from the pre-cycle to cycle IV. In the pre-cycle, the average score was 57 with a 27% completion rate. After applying the Flipped classroom model, the scores gradually improved: cycle I (63, 39% completion), cycle II (67, 52% completion), cycle III (72, 62% completion), and cycle IV (79, 86% completion). Student activity also increased from 57% in cycle I to 85% in cycle IV, while teacher activity remained at 100%. The findings suggest that the Flipped classroom model effectively enhances student engagement and learning outcomes. It allows students to access material outside class, learn at their own pace, and promotes greater learning independence. This model is highly relevant in primary schools with diverse student learning abilities.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah sangat penting untuk membantu siswa memahami lingkungan dan fenomena alam, serta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Namun, di MI Miftahul Falah Kota Bandung, hasil belajar IPA siswa masih rendah yaitu dengan perolehan rata-rata 64,28, nilai tersebut masih dibawah kriteria ketuntasan maksimum, serta dikarenakan guru jarang menggunakan kegiatan eksperimen, membuat pembelajaran menjadi monoton, sehingga siswa hanya menghafal materi tanpa memahami konsep IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan pertanyaan apakah model pembelajaran Experiential Learning lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model Direct Instruction dalam memperbaiki hasil belajara siswa kelas V. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum perlakuan, kemampuan awal siswa di kedua kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol sama-sama rendah yaitu menghasilkan nilai pretest rata-rata 37 dan 38. Namun, setelah penerapan model pembelajaran, nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Experiential Learning meningkat drastis menjadi 88 dapat dikategorikan sangat baik, sementara kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction hanya mencapai 58 dikategorikan cukup baik. Hasil uji statistik yaitu dengan T Aksen (t’) < 0,001 artinya menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Experiential Learning jauh lebih baik dibandingkan Direct Instruction dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif IPA siswa kelas V.
