Abstract

The veil, often perceived as a simple piece of clothing, holds complex meanings within urban society, serving as both a social phenomenon and a potent religious symbol. This article delves into the intricate dynamics of the veil within the context of contemporary urban life. It explores the dual nature of the veil, where it is not merely a garment but also a profound symbol of religious identity, modesty, and devotion. By examining the urban context, this research provides insights into how the veil is embraced, interpreted, and experienced by diverse communities residing in cities. The article discusses the complex social, cultural, and religious dynamics surrounding the veil and highlights its role in shaping personal and collective identities. Furthermore, it explores the challenges and debates faced by urban communities in accommodating the diversity of veiling practices and their implications for social cohesion and integration. Abstract

The role of a teacher in the learning process is very important, because the teacher is expected to be able to guide and direct students according to the abilities of their respective students. This research started with curiosity to find out how much and how the personality competence of PAI teachers contributes to students' learning motivation in facing school exams at SMP NU Palangka Raya. This study aims to find out how the personality competence of PAI teachers contributes to students' learning motivation in facing school exams at SMP NU Palangka Raya. This study uses a quantitative analysis approach. The sample in this study were 9th grade students of SMP NU Palangka Raya, totaling 79 students. Collecting data using a questionnaire and then analyzed using regression analysis. The results of the study show that there is a significant contribution from the personality competence of Islamic religious education teachers to students' learning motivation in facing school examinations at SMP NU Palangka Raya. The contribution or influence given was 33.9%. This shows that the teacher's personality is very important in carrying out the learning process in the classroom. Because motivation is very important in improving student achievement. For this reason, teachers are expected to foster motivation to learn in students in various ways according to the ability of the teacher and attractive to students

Abstract

Pendidikan tidak memiliki batasan dan tidak harus terikat pada ruang lingkup yang luas. Pendidikan sangat penting karena membantu dalam membentuk kehidupan setiap individu, terutama anak-anak, yang memerlukan pendidikan untuk menghindari hal-hal negatif dalam hidupnya. Di Lentera Harati, pendidikan diterapkan dengan metode yang menggabungkan pendidikan dan terapi, menggunakan sistem belajar rolling, di mana setiap siswa, baik yang normal maupun berkebutuhan khusus, memiliki jadwal belajar yang berbeda. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami pelaksanaan sistem rolling sebagai strategi dalam internalisasi karakter mandiri pada anak berkebutuhan khusus di Lentera Harati. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan validasi data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: Jadwal masuk siswa disusun berdasarkan kebutuhan individu, dimulai dengan pengamatan awal untuk menentukan kesiapan siswa mengikuti kelas bersama atau kelas individu. Penyesuaian ini dirancang untuk memastikan efektivitas pembelajaran dan mendukung pengembangan karakter mandiri. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, metode Montessori diterapkan dengan memfokuskan anak sebagai pusat pembelajaran, sementara guru berperan sebagai fasilitator. Media pembelajaran dirancang untuk merangsang kreativitas dan kemandirian, termasuk penggunaan alat buatan sendiri yang aman dan interaktif. Sistem rolling diterapkan dengan fleksibilitas jadwal masuk siswa untuk memungkinkan evaluasi berkala oleh guru, sehingga siswa dapat lebih mudah beradaptasi dan berkembang sesuai kebutuhan individu. Proses internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter mandiri dilakukan melalui tiga tahap: transformasi nilai (penjelasan dan arahan oleh guru), transaksi nilai (siswa mempraktikkan dengan bimbingan), dan transinternalisasi nilai (pengamalan nilai dalam keseharian).

Abstract

Building self-happiness needs to be done in order to overcome self-harming behavior. This is because happiness is the goal that everyone wants to achieve in life. Therefore, the purpose of this study is self-happiness as a medium to overcome self-harm among students. The type of research is qualitative with a case study approach, while the subjects of this study were 5 students of FTIK IAIN Palangka Raya. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation and data validation techniques using source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that self-happiness can overcome self harm among students by 84.55% including the effective category, this is because by building positive expectations, self-affirmation, positive emotions and self-adjustment can overcome self harm.

Abstract

Sebuah pernikahan memerlukan sebuah kesiapan yang matang baik secara psikologis, materi maupun fisik, sehingga sebelum melangkah dalam konsep pernikahan perlu persiapan yang tidak mudah. Fenomena pernikahan dini menjadi sebuah kenyataan yang perlu untuk diminimalisir sehingga para remaja mampu mengaktualisasikan dirinya demi masa depan yang cerah. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan melakukan pembinaan dalam rangka mencegah pernikahan dini di SMA Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu service learning (SL). Program pembinaan ini mendapat apresiasi dari pihak sekolah dan siswa, karena informasi terkait proteksi terhadap pernikahan perlu disosialisasikan ke kalangan remaja. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama 4 kali pertemuan dimulai 7-28 Maret 2023 dengan melibatkan siswa/remaja kelas XII. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, para remaja mulai memahami kesiapan diri untuk melangsungkan pernikahan diperlukan kematangan dalam berpikir dan bertindak sehingga mereka tidak terjebak dalam pernikahan dini. Selain itu, para remaja perlu melakukan proteksi diri dalam bergaul dengan siapapun supaya tidak terjerumus ke arah yang negative. Selama program ini berlangsung, banyak sekali hal-hal yang telah dicapai, di antaranya adalah adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan self control dalam pergaulan, pembaharuan informasi dan proteksi diri akan masa depan serta peningkatan pemahaman pernikahan dan kesehatan. Rekomendasi terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah agar kegiatan sosialisasi tentang pemcegahan pernikahan dini dilakukan secara berkelanjutan, agar remaja memahami pentingnya usia kematangan atau kedewasaan dalam memutuskan untuk menikah di usia dini.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah tentang pentingnya melestarikan kesenian daerah yang bernafaskan Islam sebagai media dakwah. Kesenian Habsyi merupakan salah satu kesenian Islam yang di dalamnya melantunkan syair-syair dan pembacaan sholawat nabi yang diiringi tabuhan-tabuhan gendang atau rebana. Program inilah yang dilakukan mahasiswa KKN Tematik IAIN Palangka Raya terhadap suatu komunitas masyarakat remaja di Sukamulya, Kecamatan Bukit Tangkiling Palangka Raya. Tujuan dari pembinaan ini yaitu untuk melestarikan dan mengaktifkan kembali kesenian Habsyi serta pengembangan skill. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu service learning (SL). Selama program ini berlangsung, hal-hal yang telah dicapai di antaranya adalah adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan, penambahan dan pembaruan sarana prasana maupun peralatan Habsyi. Berdasarkan hasil program pembinaan remaja dalam pelestarian kesenian Habsyi melalui gebyar nasyid, dapat disimpulkan yaitu melestarikan dan menghidupkan kembali program atau kegiatan kesenian Habsyi, memberikan tambahan wawasan atau pengetahuan, keterampilan  dan pengembangan skill dalam kesenian Habsyi, memberikan tambahan pengetahuan atau wawasan tentang kebudayaan Islam yaitu kesenian Habsyi yang di dalamnya melantunkan syair-syair pujian atau Shalawat, membantu dan melayani dalam menumbuhkan semangat guna melestarikan dan menguatkan kebudayaan kesenian Habsyi, serta diharapkan dapat menciptakan regenerasi

Abstract

Globalization has profoundly affected many facets of society, including the dissemination and comprehension of religion. The dynamics of how religious messaging is changing in the digital age, with a focus on how social media—particularly Instagram can effectively spread Islamic teachings. The purpose of this study is to examine how Islam fits into the social media landscape. Specifically, it looks at the Instagram account @fiqihwanita_ as a forum for women's da'wah. This research addresses the impact of Islamic da'wah through social media on women's identity and involvement in the formation of religious narratives while also outlining the strategy and appeal of the account's content. This type of research uses the library research method. A research approach is carried out by collecting information and resources from various types of libraries and written sources. The main goal of library research is to collect relevant data, literature, and knowledge about a particular topic or problem being researched. The research results show that the Instagram account @fiqihwanita_ stands as a dynamic and effective medium for women's da'wah in the era of globalization. Its dynamic content, women-centered approach, and global impact underscore the transformative potential of social media in shaping contemporary religious discourse. The research results are expected to provide insight into how religious messages can be articulated through social media and how Islam can remain authentic and relevant in this digital transformation.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of exploring the concept and implementation of religious moderation, focusing on the understanding of Islam and local perspectives in Central Kalimantan. The results of this research emphasize the significance of tolerance in a diverse religious community in the region, particularly in maintaining harmony and preventing conflicts. Additionally, the study delves into strategies to strengthen religious moderation, encompassing areas such as education, inter-religious dialogue, character formation, and reinforcing religious-cultural relations. The analysis of Islam and the dynamics of the times involves understanding the essential values of Islam, responses to social changes, and the role of the younger generation in the current context. The research contributes to harmony and the prevention of extremism through in-depth understanding, changes in values, and social empowerment, forming a more holistic vision that supports religious harmony in the diverse and dynamic society of Central Kalimantan.

Abstract

Spiritual coping strategies are an important approach in helping students reduce academic stress in emerging adulthood. This study aims to identify the factors contributing to academic stress among PAI students at IAIN Palangka Raya, understand how to deal with it through spiritual coping strategies, and understand the factors that influence spiritual coping. This study used a qualitative approach of phenomenology type, with the subjects being 7 PAI students from the batches of 2020, 2021, and 2022. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, which are in-depth interviews to explore participants' experiences, views and perceptions. Data validation was conducted using member checking techniques, then analyzed through three stages: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that the main factors affecting academic stress of PAI students at IAIN Palangka Raya include anxiety about one's ability, parents' expectations, competition with friends, task load, and tight class schedule. The spiritual coping strategies used are self-directing, deferring, and collaborative. Meanwhile, the success of spiritual coping strategies was influenced by education, life experience, and maturity of thinking. This study shows that integrating spiritual aspects is essential in helping students deal with academic stress in an Islamic education environment, and can serve as a basis for designing spiritual-based mentoring or counseling programs in religious tertiary institutions. The practical implication of these findings is that Islamic educational institutions need to develop curricula, guidance services, and mentoring programs that explicitly accommodate spiritual approaches in dealing with academic pressure, in order to create a more supportive and holistic learning environment for students.
