Abstract

This study explores the contribution of Islamic economic principles as an alternative solution to global economic inequality. Through a literature review and critical analysis of related literature, this study found that Islamic economic principles, such as social justice, equitable distribution of wealth, and prohibition of usury, have the potential to reduce such inequality. However, challenges such as lack of understanding and awareness, inconsistent implementation, and regulatory barriers need to be overcome. Strategic measures are needed, including more widespread Islamic economic education, strong policy support, and collaboration between the government, financial institutions, and society. This research contributes to strengthening the understanding of the role of Islamic economics in addressing global economic inequality, with the hope of achieving more equitable and sustainable economic prosperity around the world.

Abstract

This research reveals the potential of a circular economy from an Islamic economic perspective to integrate circular economic concepts that focus on the wise use of resources and reduce waste with Islamic economic principles that emphasize social justice, sustainability, and economic balance. In this research, a literature analysis and comparative study were carried out on the concept of a circular economy and the principles of Islamic economics. This research was conducted to fill existing research gaps and provide new insights into developing a sustainable economy following Islamic religious principles. The research results show a high compatibility between the circular economy and the Islamic economy. The circular economy concept which involves recycling practices, product reuse, and waste reduction is in harmony with Islamic economic principles which emphasize distributive justice, community empowerment, and environmental protection. These findings can be used as a practical guide for economic practitioners, government, and society in adopting and implementing a circular economy in the context of an Islamic economy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh EO dan sistem produksi susu sapi perah terhadap pertumbuhan usaha peternakan sapi perah, dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran mediasi sistem produksi sapi perah terhadap pengaruh EO pada pertumbuhan usaha peternak sapi perah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif yang berfokus pada penelitian observasi langsung dan wawancara terstruktur. Prosedur pengambilan sampel menggunakan probabilitas secara acak sederhana untuk mengumpulkan data dari 196 peternak sapi perah di Kota Malang Provinsi Jawa Timur melalui kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa EO dan sistem peternakan sapi perah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan usaha sapi perah. Namun kontribusi pengaruh EO terhadap pertumbuhan usaha sapi perah lebih rendah (5,77%). Setelah mengadopsi sistem produksi sebagai variabel moderasi dalam model, efek kontribusi meningkat menjadi 16,57%. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa praktek sistem produksi yang dianut berfungsi sebagai variabel moderasi yang memberikan kontribusi besar pengaruh EO terhadap pertumbuhan usaha peternakan sapi perah.

Abstract

The presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation of work provide a revolution in the world of work. But at the same time, this can threaten human potential in employment. This research was conducted to see the influence exerted by AI and automation on human employment. This research will be carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data used in this study comes from various research results and previous studies that still discuss the use of AI and automation in the world of work. This study found that AI and automation are currently replacing many jobs. However, some bits of intelligence belonging to humans, such as intuition and empathy, is still difficult for AI to imitate. Even though the existence of AI and automation can be a threat to humans in the workforce, with the increase in human resource skills; then humans who adapt will not be replaced by machines, but there will be the integration of human-machine work, where AI and automation do not replace humans but become tools for human labor.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of transparency, accountability, community participation, internal control and accounting competence on the empowerment of the Betak village community simultaneously and partially using multiple linear regression. The test method was carried out using primary data by distributing questionnaires and then analyzed using the SPSS 16 application. The results of this study indicate that partially there are two variables that have a significant effect on community empowerment, namely accountability and community participation, while the other three variables have no effect. Meanwhile, the variables of transparency, accountability, community empowerment, internal control and accounting competence simultaneously affect community empowerment with a total effect of 85.3%.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the determinants of online game player loyalty among millennials. The development of information technology and the internet has created a booming online gaming industry, with millennials being one of the main consumer segments in this industry. However, with high competition and many game options available, maintaining player loyalty is crucial to the success of game developers and providers. This research utilizes quantitative methods. Questionnaires were distributed to 173 respondents to collect quantitative data from a sample of millennial online game players. The results of data analysis show that the determinants of online game player loyalty among millennials include several aspects. First, gameplay quality and gaming experience are the main factors that influence player loyalty. In addition, interesting and quality content also contributes importantly to retaining players. Second, social interaction and in-game community support are significant factors in building emotional bonds and connections between players. Furthermore, fairness and transparency in the payment system and the ability to earn rewards and progress in the game are also determinants of loyalty. In addition, the availability of technical support and good game maintenance will increase player satisfaction and retention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze farm labor wages from an Islamic economic perspective with a focus on justice and welfare. Through a qualitative approach, this study explores the experiences and perceptions of farm workers regarding their wages and their impact on justice and welfare. The principles of distributive justice, proportional justice, and the elimination of usury in Islamic economics are the theoretical basis used to analyze the agricultural labor wage system. Data and information were obtained through in-depth interviews with farm workers in certain areas. The content analysis results are used to identify patterns related to fair wages and factors that affect the welfare of farm workers. This research shows that agricultural workers often face low and inadequate wages, which negatively impacts their welfare and that of their families. From an Islamic economic perspective, fair wages for agricultural laborers and providing welfare are important for achieving social justice and economic sustainability. This research provides insight into how the principles of Islamic economics can be applied in the agricultural labor wage system to achieve justice and improve welfare. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of policies that are in favor of justice and the welfare of farm workers in the context of Islamic economics.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate and analyze social interactions and social practices underlying investment decision-making in the Islamic capital market. The research focus includes an understanding of how Islamic values are reflected in the interaction of market participants, the communication practices used, and the impact of social context on investment decision-making. This research uses qualitative methods with an ethnomethodological approach through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Researchers are involved in the daily activities of market participants, whether on the stock exchange, Islamic finance seminars, or investment forums. In-depth interviews were conducted with investors, brokers, and Islamic finance experts to gain a more in-depth perspective. The document analysis includes a study of Islamic finance literature, fatwas, and related documents. The results showed that social interaction and social practices of market participants have a significant role in making investment decisions in the Islamic capital market. Communication practices based on Islamic values play a key role in the decision-making process. The social and cultural context also influences investors’ perceptions and preferences towards Islamic financial instruments. These findings provide deep contextual insights into the factors influencing investment decisions in Islamic capital markets, which can be the foundation for the development of Islamic ethics-based investment strategies.

Abstract

Islamic business has the phenomenon of being easy to grow and easy to leave. This study aims to analyze the sustainability of Sharia business from the perspective of risk management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of literature study employing the PRISMA Method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). Data was collected from various literature, both from books and related journals. This study introduces the Islamic view on risk management, the urgency of risk management for Sharia businesses, and the implementation of Islamic principles that emphasize the blessings and pleasure of Allah SWT in its operations. The main findings of this study indicate that the application of risk management following Sharia principles can enhance the sustainability of Sharia businesses. The practical implications of this study guide for Sharia business practitioners to consistently manage risks, thereby achieving business sustainability. As a result, businesses can endure and provide benefits for economic circulation in the community.

Abstract

This study delves into the philosophical viewpoint of Islamic economics concerning capitalism and materialism within the context of modernity. It examines essential aspects like ownership, wealth distribution, and consumption from an Islamic economic perspective and employs a critical approach to analyze the interactions among capitalism, materialism, and modernity. The research adopts a qualitative analytical method, drawing insights from relevant literature and prior studies in the field. The collected data is scrutinized through the lens of Islamic economic principles and relevant philosophical perspectives. The results highlight how the philosophical standpoint of Islamic economics provides an alternative perspective on addressing capitalism and materialism in contemporary times. Islamic economic thought emphasizes principles of social justice, wealth redistribution, and consumption limitations as integral components. The study underscores the significance of integrating moral and ethical values into economic practices to achieve social and spiritual sustainability. By offering insights into the critique of capitalism and materialism from an Islamic economic standpoint, the research encourages further discussions on more sustainable and equitable economic alternatives.
