<![CDATA[This article explores the historical transformation of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order in Sukajadi, North Labuhanbatu Regency, with a particular focus on how the order has adapted to the pressures of social modernization and evolving religious contexts. The central research question investigates how the Naqshbandi Order has maintained its relevance and spiritual authority amid changing cultural and societal landscapes. Employing a qualitative research methodology rooted in historical analysis, this study draws on in-depth interviews with community members, a review of relevant literature, and direct observation of religious activities within the order. The findings demonstrate that while the Naqshbandi Order has preserved core mystical teachings and practices, it has also integrated more contemporary forms of community engagement, education, and leadership. These adaptive strategies have enabled the order not only to survive but also to reaffirm its role as a vital spiritual institution in the region. The study concludes that the resilience of the Naqshbandi Order lies in its ability to bridge tradition and modernity, ensuring continuity of Sufi spirituality in a changing world.]]>

<![CDATA[The history of the selapanan tradition in the tradition of the Javanese community which took place in the village of Pulau Tagor, Serbajadi District, Serdang Bedagai Regency and the Islamic view of the Selapanan tradition. The approach used is a cultural anthropological approach which is the view of life of a group of people in the form of behavior, beliefs, values and symbols that they receive unconsciously, all of which are passed down through a communication process from one generation to the next. The results show that the Selapanan tradition has existed since long ago in the Javanese region, and after the Javanese people from Central Java and its surroundings migrated to East Sumatra so that this tradition could develop and survive from generation to generation until it is still being carried out today. The Selapanan tradition has a good meaning as an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT. The Selapanan tradition procession is also permissible in Islam.]]>

<![CDATA[Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah kembali sejarah awal masuknya islam di sumatera barat di bagian pasaman. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan pengumpulan data. Sebuah cerita rakyat yang berkembang dalam masyarakat Pasaman yakni Cerita Rajo Sontang, diceritakan bahwa orang pertama yang mendiami daerah tersebut berasal dari Pagaruyung, dan pada Pertengahan abad ke -7 M agama islam sudah memasuki daerah minangkabau yang di bawa oleh para pedagang-pedagang islam. Umat Islam di Minangkabau memiliki rumah ibadah disebut dengan Surau dan Masjid. Surau pada awalnya bangunan pelengkap rumah gadang (rumah adat), sedangkan masjid merupakan sarana yang harus memiliki sebagai syarat dapat berdirinya sebuah nagari di Minangkabau.]]>

<![CDATA[The research objective was to determine the services available and to determine the level of satisfaction of visitors to services at the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra Library. This type of research is a quantitative study with an inferential approach. The population in this study were students who were still actively visiting the library of the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra, totaling 1,380 people. Samples were taken using the Slovin formula and obtained a sample of 93 people. The method of collecting data with a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Testing research instruments with validity and reliability tests. Data analysis using simple linear regression analysis analysis method. The hypothesis which states the influence of visitor satisfaction on UMSU library services is acceptable. The percentage of satisfaction of visitors to UMSU library services is 77.9%, while 22.1% of visitor satisfaction is influenced by other variables not examined.]]>

<![CDATA[This article or writing aims to find out what kind of perception arises in the audience regarding the issue of the impact of social media that is shown in the film The Social Dilemma. The problem is focused on the type of perception that comes out when watching the film The Social Dilemma, whether the perception is positive or negative. Marshal McLuhan, The data were collected through Questionnaire and Literature Study and analyzed quantitatively. This study concludes that 57.7% of respondents answered that the message conveyed was related to the impact of social media, which means that the perception that arises is a positive perception after the audience watches the film The Social Dilemma.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the role of POCADI (Digital Reading Corner) in Fostering Community Reading Interest in the Astaka Eqs Mtq Tebing-High Corner Pulpit, the efforts made to foster reading interest and the obstacles experienced by POCADI (digital reading corner).The the method used in this study is a qualitative method using a descriptive approach. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the people or behavior observed, while the data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicates that the efforts made by the Digital Reading Corner consist of collaborating with schools, improving facilities and infrastructure, promoting and socializing.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses the Promotion Strategy at the UPT Library of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Padangsidimpuan. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. By using data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The informants in this study were the head of the library and the librarian at the Padangsidimpuan State Islamic Institute Library (IAIN) who had been selected by according to researchers to the criteria of the research subject. The results of the study indicate that the library's strategy is to promote the Padangsidimpuan library (IAIN) on social media created by the library by creating a website so that users who access it get information about the Padangsidimpuan library (IAIN). Promotion through other social media with Facebook, Instagram and library promotion activities that contain updated information about the Padangsidimpuan library (IAIN). The library also carries out various activities to promote the Padangsidimpuan library (IAIN) such as webinars, user education and competitions organized by the Padangsidimpuan library (IAIN)]]>

<![CDATA[This study explores the figure of Syekh Ismail Banda as one of the prominent leaders of the Al-Washliyah organization, who played a significant role in the fields of diplomacy and education during both the pre- and post-independence periods of Indonesia. The aim of this research is to investigate the contributions and struggles of Syekh Ismail Banda in strengthening Al-Washliyah's role as a religious institution and an agent of social transformation through diplomatic efforts and the advancement of Islamic education. A qualitative method was employed, using literature review and historical document analysis related to Syekh Ismail Banda’s activities as a scholar, educator, and informal diplomat. The findings reveal that Syekh Ismail Banda played a strategic role in expanding Al-Washliyah’s da’wah network and establishing Islamic educational institutions in North Sumatra. Furthermore, he actively engaged with national and international figures to advocate for the interests of the Muslim community, both locally and globally. His diplomatic endeavors were evident in his conflict mediation efforts, participation in religious forums, and advocacy for Islamic educational policies. In the field of education, he is recognized as the founder of several madrasahs and a pioneer in strengthening curricula based on moderate Islamic values. This study concludes that Syekh Ismail Banda was a visionary figure who successfully integrated religious values, education, and diplomacy as the foundation of his struggle to build an empowered and knowledgeable Muslim society. His legacy remains relevant today as a source of inspiration for the development of Islamic education and cultural diplomacy in Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the role of the Sumatera Thawalib educational institution in the development of Islamic education in the Minangkabau region. Sumatera Thawalib was one of the significant Islamic educational organizations that played a crucial role in the dissemination and renewal of Islamic teachings as well as in shaping the character of the Minangkabau community in the early 20th century. Using a qualitative historical approach, this research collects data from various primary and secondary sources, such as archival documents, historical literature, and interviews with educational figures and local historians. The results show that Sumatera Thawalib made a significant contribution in creating a progressive and modern Islamic education system in Minangkabau. This institution not only emphasized the teaching of classical religious knowledge but also integrated general knowledge and character education in accordance with the social and cultural context of Minangkabau. Additionally, Sumatera Thawalib served as a forum for the emergence of Islamic scholars and intellectuals who played a role in renewing Islamic thought and strengthening the community’s Islamic identity. The role of Sumatera Thawalib is also evident in strengthening the network of Islamic education connecting various pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) and madrasahs in West Sumatra and surrounding areas. With innovative teaching methods and a structured organization, this institution was able to respond to the challenges of modernization while preserving traditional Islamic values. Furthermore, Sumatera Thawalib contributed to the development of social and political awareness among the Minangkabau community, particularly in the context of the independence movement and educational reform. In conclusion, Sumatera Thawalib holds a strategic role as a pioneer and driving force of Islamic education in Minangkabau, combining tradition and modernity. These findings provide important insights into the dynamics of Islamic education in Indonesia and its relevance in the development of education based on religious values and local culture. This research is expected to serve as a reference for developing contextual and forward-looking Islamic education.]]>

<![CDATA[This research investigates the historical and religious significance of Al-Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Al-Habsyi Kwitang (1889–1968) in the context of Indonesia’s struggle for independence and the dissemination of Islamic teachings. The central question addresses how Habib Ali contributed to both the national movement and Islamic socio-religious development. Using the historical method, the study follows four stages: heuristic data collection, source criticism, interpretation, and historiographical synthesis. Findings indicate that Habib Ali played a critical role in advancing Islamic education by founding institutions such as Unwanul Falah and ICI, and was actively involved in religious-political organizations, notably the Majelis Islam A'la Indonesia (MIAI). His influence extended into national politics as a spiritual advisor to key leaders, including President Soekarno. The study concludes that Habib Ali’s legacy exemplifies the intertwined relationship between Islamic scholarship and nationalist discourse, reinforcing the prominent role of ulama in shaping Indonesia’s socio-political fabric and contributing to the broader intellectual tradition of Islam Nusantara.]]>
