Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening independent character and responsibility in Islamic-based secondary schools, focusing on the implementation of humanistic concepts in learning. The research method used was qualitative, with data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis at SMP IT Cahaya Bangsa Mijen Semarang. The collected data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach, involving the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that strengthening independent character and responsibility is implemented through humanistic concepts, especially in building motivation and awareness of the importance of setting priorities in academic activities. The humanistic concept is reflected in the integration of PAI subjects version of the Ministry of Religion and CS IT with humanist character, presentation of Islamic Education material that supports an attitude of responsibility, and an assessment system that encourages honesty based on active and fun learning. The aspect of self-education is more strongly implemented through extracurricular activities based on religious values, such as memorization of the Quran, archery, swimming, scouts, and taekwondo. These five extracurriculars are considered important to increase perseverance, self-confidence, leadership, self-discipline, and mental strength as elements of independence. The school also involves parents in guided discussion activities, including home visits, communication through WhatsApp groups, and specific meetings at school, to ensure the effective implementation of independent character and responsibility for students. This research contributes to providing in-depth insights into character strengthening practices in Islamic-based secondary schools, providing a foundation for the development of further strategies in improving the quality of character education. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi penguatan karakter mandiri dan tanggung jawab di sekolah menengah berbasis Islam, dengan fokus pada implementasi konsep humanistik dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen di SMP IT Cahaya Bangsa Mijen Semarang. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan Miles dan Huberman, melibatkan tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan karakter mandiri dan tanggung jawab diimplementasikan melalui konsep humanistik, khususnya dalam membangun motivasi dan kesadaran akan pentingnya mengatur prioritas dalam kegiatan akademik. Konsep humanistik tercermin dalam integrasi mata pelajaran PAI versi Kemenag dan CS IT yang berkarakter humanis, penyajian materi Pendidikan Islam yang mendukung sikap tanggung jawab, serta sistem penilaian yang mendorong kejujuran berbasis pembelajaran aktif dan menyenangkan. Aspek pendidikan mandiri lebih kuat terimplementasikan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis nilai-nilai keagamaan, seperti hafalan Al-Quran, panahan, renang, pramuka, dan taekwondo. Kelima ekstrakurikuler ini dianggap penting untuk meningkatkan ketekunan, rasa percaya diri, kepemimpinan, disiplin diri, dan kekuatan mental sebagai unsur kemandirian. Sekolah juga melibatkan orang tua dalam kegiatan diskusi terbimbing, termasuk kunjungan ke rumah, komunikasi melalui grup WhatsApp, dan pertemuan tertentu di sekolah, untuk memastikan efektivitas implementasi karakter mandiri dan tanggung jawab bagi siswa. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang praktik-praktik penguatan karakter di sekolah menengah berbasis Islam, memberikan landasan bagi pengembangan strategi lebih lanjut dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

This research discusses moral education in the children's phase which has an important role in forming good personality and character. One of the famous philosophers and scientists, Ibn Sina, has a view on the importance of instilling moral values from the childhood phase. This research focuses on examining Ibn Sina's thoughts on moral education in the children's phase. This study uses a qualitative approach through literature study by analyzing journals related to moral education from Ibn Sina's perspective. The results of the study show that Ibn Sina emphasized that moral education must begin from children through a gradual approach, and in accordance with the development of children

Abstract

Aqidah Akhlak teachers are expected to be able to play a role in preventing bullying in madrasas with various efforts to create a safe and peaceful school life. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach with descriptive research using the case study method. Data collection was carried out through a process of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that: 1) The form of bullying behaviour that occurs at MA Al-Wathoniyyah is verbal and physical, 2) The role of the Aqidah Akhlak teacher in overcoming bullying is by becoming a teacher, guide, counsellor, evaluator, model/example, and as a driver of creativity, 3) Solutions provided by the school as an effort to prevent and overcome bullying by providing understanding, advice and motivation; become a role model teacher to instil morals; enforce madrasa rules and regulations; socialization; and strengthen cooperation between madrasahs and student guardians. Apart from that, some plans are still being pursued to prevent bullying through regularly scheduled mentoring with students. As well as carrying out mandatory monthly meeting agendas in the form of supervision from the madrasa head together with the class teacher and Guidance Counseling. Keywords: Bullying; Moral Creeds; Teacher's Role   Abstrak: Guru Akidah Akhlak diharapkan mampu berperan dalam pencegahan aksi bullying di madrasah dengan berbagai upaya demi terwujudnya kehidupan sekolah yang aman dan damai. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui proses wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Bentuk perilaku bullying yang terjadi di MA Al-Wathoniyyah adalah secara verbal dan fisik, 2) Peran guru Akidah Akhlak dalam mengatasi aksi bullying adalah dengan menjadi seorang pengajar, pembimbing, konselor, evaluator, model/contoh, dan sebagai pendorong kreativitas, 3) Solusi yang diberikan pihak sekolah sebagai upaya mencegah dan mengatasi aksi bullying dengan pemberian pemahaman, nasihat, dan motivasi; menjadi pribadi guru tauladan dalam rangka penanaman akhlak; menegakkan tata tertib madrasah; sosialisasi; dan mempererat kerjasama pihak madrasah dengan wali siswa. Selain itu terdapat rencana yang masih diupayakan untuk mencegah aksi bullying melalui pendampingan rutin terjadwal serta melakukan agenda wajib rapat bulanan berupa supervisi dari kepala madrasah bersama wali kelas dan guru Bimbingan Konseling. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the teacher ethical crisis based on cases of violence against students in 2023. Using qualitative methods and a library research approach, data was obtained from various sources such as books, journals, online newspapers and previous research. The results show that 1) the teacher ethical crisis is seen in the aspect of implementing morals, with violations such as lack of patience and compassion, 2) factors of violence in schools include teachers' lack of understanding of the consequences of violent acts, authoritarian teaching patterns, and the use of violence as a method of discipline 3) Violence prevention requires holistic solutions such as aqidah development, value instillation, anti-violence socialization, psychological support, classroom management training, human rights education, and professional ethics.

Abstract

Education is an important thing for humans. The human need for education is primary. However, in pursuing education, schools are needed which are the category of formal education. School is a way to get an education. However, over time, school selection has become a scourge for children. The underlying factors are the zoning registration system, and the dominance of parents in determining schools. Parents tend to refer to madrasas or Islamic-based schools in the hope of getting more integrated Islamic lessons. This gives rise to a feeling of anxiety in children and are not free in determining their choices. This article will discuss the causes of the appearance of symptoms anxiety in children in school selection preference. This case study took place on Jl. Margosari rt.04 rw.07, Sawah Besar, Gayamsari, Semarang. This research uses the case study method and literature study at the same time. The results revealed that 25% of children objected if their parents forced them to attend further education at madrasah.

Abstract

This study discusses the effectiveness of marble applications in improving reading ability starting with pronouncing vowels in children who have difficulty reading or lack interest in reading. The ability to recognize letters is the first step for children to have the ability to read and write. In this modern era, letter recognition using educational games on gadgets is still lacking, children use gadgets more just to watch and play. This research aims to increase children's interest and motivation in reading and writing activities by using gadgets as a means to play in the Marbel application. In this study the researcher used the literature study method in which the researcher read and recorded and processed several journals, books, and documents (both printed and electronic) as well as other sources of information data that were considered relevant to the research or study. In order to get valid and relevant data that will attract readers' interest and motivation in terms of educating and developing children's enthusiasm for reading using the Marbel application which contains interesting features so that children do not get bored reading, the features displayed are in the form of interesting games.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of social media use in the context of Islamic religious learning in secondary schools. By utilizing qualitative research methods, this research explores students' perceptions and experiences as well as teachers' opinions regarding the integration of social media in Islamic religious learning. Findings highlight the positive role of social media in facilitating access to information, expanding the reach of learning, and increasing student engagement. However, research also highlights challenges such as distractions, lack of content control, and the risk of possible negative influences. The implications of these findings provide valuable insights for the development of more effective and sustainable learning strategies in the future. This research explores in depth the impact and implications of using social media in Islamic religious learning in secondary schools. The results show that social media can be an effective tool in facilitating discussions, sharing resources, and enriching learning experiences. However, the findings also illustrate challenges such as distraction, the spread of unverified information, and the risk of misuse of the platform by irresponsible parties. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of a balanced and thoughtful approach to the use of social media in the context of Islamic religious learning in secondary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential, strategies, and implications of anti-parricide education in Islamic Junior High Schools (MTs). Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design and the Miles and Huberman data analysis model, the study was conducted at MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Bawang, Batang, through 24-hour observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis such as syllabi, guidance and counseling modules, and student behavior records. The main findings indicate that the potential for parricide is triggered by three indicators: student aggressive behavior, untreated mental health disorders, and unstable or violent family environments. The school responded by integrating character values ​​into the curriculum, strengthening guidance and counseling services, and creating a religious madrasa environment. This aligns with the teachings of Al-Ghazali's theory of moral education. However, challenges such as domestic violence, limited teacher competency, and the negative influence of social media hamper the effectiveness of these strategies. The theoretical contribution of this research lies in the development of a contextual anti-parricide education model based on madrasahs, while its practical contribution is in the form of policy recommendations for strengthening character education and early prevention systems involving synergy between schools, families, and communities.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era presents challenges for Islamic education, particularly in maintaining adolescents’ religious character amid rapid digitalization. This study aims to analyze teachers’ strategies in instilling religious character at SMK Islamic Centre Baiturrahman Semarang by integrating spiritual practices with technology-based approaches. Using an intrinsic case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving four teachers and twenty Year 11 students, and analyzed thematically. The findings reveal a Four-Dimensional Religious Character Formation Model, consisting of: (1) role modelling, in which teachers demonstrate consistent Islamic behavior and worship practices; (2) worship habituation, through structured religious routines and extracurricular activities; (3) technology-integrated character learning, involving digital religious media, Islamic applications, and project-based digital content; and (4) religion-based school culture reinforced through teacher, student, parent collaboration. These dimensions collectively strengthen students’ spiritual awareness, digital responsibility, and ethical behavior in daily life. This study contributes a contextual and adaptive framework for Islamic character education relevant to the Society 5.0 era, with implications for the development of technology-supported religious pedagogy and institutional character-building policies. Limitations regarding school context, technological facilities, and variations in student religiosity indicate the need for broader and comparative research.
