Abstract

Non-aeronautical revenue is a crucial source of income for airports to support operations and increase profitability, particularly at Fatmawati Soekarno Airport in Bengkulu. This study aims to analyze the influence of advertising business optimization and lounge facility development on increasing non-aeronautical revenue at the airport. The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach, examining relevant literature and previous studies. The findings indicate that effective management of advertising media—both in print and digital formats—as well as the provision of comfortable and high-quality lounge facilities significantly contribute to attracting passengers and business partners, ultimately enhancing non-aeronautical revenue. However, the study also recognizes that many other factors may influence this revenue stream. Therefore, further research is needed to identify other relevant variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the maintenance of Structural Firefighting Suits used by Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) personnel at Jenderal Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang. The research employed a qualitative case study through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The findings indicate that limited maintenance practices, such as airing the suits without thorough cleaning, caused damage including tears, mold, and detached fasteners, which reduced comfort, safety, and operational effectiveness. Regular and scheduled maintenance is therefore essential to extend the service life of PPE and ensure safety performance of ARFF personnel in emergency situations.

Abstract

Aeronautical Data Processing System (ADPS) merupakan sistem yang digunakan oleh personel PIA di NOTAM Office sebagai alat bantu dalam proses drafting ASHTAM. Sistem ini belum memenuhi ketentuan sistem pengolahan informasi aeronautika yang ideal sebagaimana ditetapkan dalam Annex 15 Aeronautical Information Services dan Doc 8126 Aeronautical Information Services Manual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis komparatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap personel PIA yang terlibat langsung dalam proses drafting ASHTAM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kesesuaian ADPS terhadap ketentuan yang berlaku serta keterkaitannya terhadap akurasi informasi ASHTAM. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketidaksesuaian ADPS dengan ketentuan dalam Annex 15 Aeronautical Information Services dan Doc 8126 Aeronautical Information Services Manual berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan ADPS untuk mendukung proses drafting ASHTAM secara optimal, sehingga dapat menurunkan akurasi informasi ASHTAM yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan adanya pengembangan pada ADPS agar dapat memenuhi ketentuan yang berlaku dan menjaga kualitas ASHTAM.

Abstract

Technological developments are increasingly developing, especially in the world of aviation. Therefore, aviation vocational institutions provide sources of knowledge and technology that can be implemented in several ways, including by carrying out community service activities related to aviation technology. Currently, the aerospace insight possessed by the community is still limited, especially for students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa. This PkM activity aims to provide education to the community as basic capital to increase aerospace insight needed by the job market in the aviation sector. The method used in this activity is counselling by providing material about technology in the world of aviation. The results of this activity show that students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa experienced an increase in knowledge about technology in the world of aviation, as evidenced by the percentage of participant posttests of 85% for increased scores and 0% for decreased scores. From this counselling, it can be concluded that participants can gain new knowledge about aviation technology from the implementation of this activity.

Abstract

Pengelolaan NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) merupakan komponen krusial dalam menjamin keselamatan dan kelancaran operasional penerbangan. Namun, Pusat Informasi Aeronautika (PIA Pusat) masih menghadapi sejumlah kendala dalam sistem pengajuan NOTAM melalui Web-Based Flight Plan (WBF). Masalah utama meliputi logout otomatis sistem jika proses penyusunan terlalu lama, serta ketiadaan fitur riwayat pengiriman, yang mempersulit personel dalam memverifikasi status pengajuan NOTAM. Kondisi ini berpotensi menyebabkan penundaan penyampaian informasi penting, yang dapat memengaruhi kelancaran operasional bahkan membahayakan keselamatan penerbangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efisiensi sistem pengelolaan NOTAM di PIA dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan teknik Root Cause Analysis (RCA) untuk mengidentifikasi akar permasalahan, didukung oleh Fishbone Diagram untuk memetakan kemungkinan penyebab. Hasil analisis diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran komprehensif mengenai isu yang ada, serta menjadi dasar perumusan solusi yang mampu meningkatkan efisiensi dalam penyiapan dan pengiriman NOTAM. Abstract

This study was conducted at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport in Lombok to explore the impact of the Operations and Commercial Information System (SIOPSKOM) on the performance of staff within the Airport Operation Landside, Terminal, and Service Improvement (AOLTSI) unit. Through a quantitative approach supported by surveys and field observations, the study reveals a positive correlation between the implementation of SIOPSKOM and improvements in employee performance. Respondents indicated that the system facilitates timely access to information, enhances job efficiency, and supports daily operational tasks more effectively. The findings suggest that SIOPSKOM plays a crucial role in streamlining workflows and promoting a more data-driven work environment. Most staff members acknowledged the system’s relevance in accelerating decision-making and improving service delivery to airport users. These results highlight the importance of maintaining and upgrading digital infrastructure in airport operations. To maximize its potential, the study recommends continuous training for personnel and regular system evaluations to ensure responsiveness to operational needs. The integration of such systems must also be aligned with organizational goals to support a culture of performance accountability and service excellence in the broader context of airport management.

Abstract

Pelayanan Informasi Aeronautika (PIA) memiliki peran krusial dalam mendukung keselamatan dan efisiensi penerbangan. Namun, di PIA Wilayah Surabaya, penggunaan formulir monitoring dan Tabel AIRAC masih mengalami kendala dalam aksesibilitas dan efisiensi karena sistem kerja yang masih bersifat manual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang terjadi serta mengusulkan solusi berbasis digitalisasi dengan aplikasi berbasis website guna meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan efektivitas pengelolaan informasi aeronautika. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi digitalisasi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mengurangi kesalahan manual, serta mempercepat proses pengelolaan data.
