Abstract

This study aims to increase students' historical awareness by using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model based on the outdoor study of Sukuh temple in social studies learning in class VII SMPIT MTA Karanganyar. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a design of two cycles of the application of the learning model in class VII students, totaling 32 students. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The research instrument is the author himself as a data collector. The data validation was done by using triangulation techniques, double-checking, and peer question and answer. Data analysis was performed using interactive analysis techniques which included data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification of conclusion. To increase students' historical awareness, the researcher used a 30 item historical awareness questionnaire with the achievement of the results of an increase in pre-action and post-action activities. This increase can be seen from the average result value of cycle 1 and cycle 2. The results show that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model based on the outdoor study of Sukuh temple can increase the historical awareness of grade VII students of SMPIT MTA Karanganyar. The results of the application of the PjBL model have an average post-test score of 66 while the post test score in cycle 2 is 73. The increase in historical awareness of students in cycle 1 and cycle 2 has a percentage of 11% while the comparison between pre-action and cycle 1 has a percentage of 69% so that it can It was concluded that there had been a significant increase in the results of the posttest. Thus, the PjBL model succeeded in increasing the historical awareness of the seventh-grade students of SMPIT MTA Karanganyar.

Abstract

This study discusses about writing ability of paragraph arguments of students whose have high reading interest in the group using quantum writing method. The location of this study is MAS of Academic School of Islamic Education 2017/2018. The result shows that the ability to write paragraph arguments for students who are taught using higher quantum writing. The ability to write paragraphs in arguments for students with high reading interest is more suitable to be taught using the quantum writing method

Abstract

This study aims (1) to determine the differences in social studies learning outcomes taught by the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model which is higher than the social studies learning outcomes with the Problem Based Learning model. (2) To find out the differences in social studies learning outcomes of students who have a higher visual learning style than the social studies learning outcomes of students who have a kinesthetic learning style. (3) To determine the interaction between learning models and student learning styles in influencing the social studies learning outcomes of private students, Ar Rahman Percut. The population of this study was 122 students of class VII-A and VII-B of Ar Rahman Percut Private Middle School. Samples were taken by cluster rondom sampling. The sample used in this study was 63 students. The selected sample is classVII-A and class VII-B. The instrument used was a multiple choice test, amounting to 30 items and a learning style questionnaire. The data were analyzed at the significant level = 0.05, followed by the Scheffe further test after the normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed that, (1) There are differences in social studies learning outcomes, where the social studies learning outcomes with the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model are higher than the social studies learning outcomes with the Problem Based Learning model with Fcount 8,70> Ftable 4.00, (2) There are differences in student social studies learning outcomes, where the social studies learning outcomes of students who have a visual learning style from the social studies learning outcomes of students who have a kinesthetic learning style with Fcount 5.01> Ftable 4.00, (3) There is an interaction between the learning model and the learning style of the students' social studies learning outcomes Fcount 5.20> Ftable 4.00

Abstract

The problem of education is relatively complex because many variables influence it. One of these factors is the characteristics (logical intelligence mathematics) and student Soft Skills. The phenomena that occur in the field, especially in the learning process of the lecturer/teacher, that they do not pay attention to the problems of logical intelligence of mathematics and student soft skills, so that the learning outcomes are not optimal. This study aims to determine the effect of logical intelligence of mathematics and soft skills on learning outcomes in students of introductory economics. This research method is the descriptive ex-post facto method. The population in this study were all students of the economic education department in Economics Faculty Unimed who were attending the introductory economics as many as 90 people. The data collected was analyzed using linear regression statistics with SPSS for windows. The results of this study indicate that logical intelligence of mathematics and soft skills have a positive and significant effect on student outcomes in the introductory economics course.
