Abstract

The development of children's character has changed as the times have changed. Saying politely, respecting parents, and practicing manners appear to be lacking in the character of children today, including children in Selorejo village, Magetan. As a result, the Al-Quran Education Learning Centre (Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an) is one way to instill character, particularly religious character. This commmunity service aims to maximize TPA's role in religious character education. Using the Asset Based Community-Driven Development (ABCD) approach, ten elementary school-aged children participated in this activity. The service results show that children understand and practice religious characteristics such as speaking politely, being polite, and beginning activities with bismillah in their daily lives.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan masalah yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan kehidupan manusia. Pengelolaan sampah yang baik dapat berdampak pada kesehatan manusia dan menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih dan nyaman untuk belajar. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran santri agar membuang sampah pada tempatnya, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang bersih dan nyaman, serta melatih membuat karya dari sampah anorganik. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh tujuh santri putri Pesantren Darul Huda Mayak Tonatan Ponorogo yang berasal dari perwakilan kelas pada Juli–Agustus 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan asset-based community development (ABCD) dengan mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki. Hasil dari evaluasi kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pengelolaan sampah organik dan anorganik dapat meningkatkan wawasan dan keterampilan santri dalam memilah sampah organik dan anorganik serta membuat kerajinan tangan dari sampah anorganik. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian yang dilaksanakan cukup berhasil menjadikan para santri semakin sadar terhadap kebersihan lingkungan serta kreatif dalam memanfaatkan barang bekas menjadi karya seni.Garbage is a problem that is closely related to human life. Good waste management can impact human health and create a clean and comfortable environment for learning. This community service project aims to raise students' awareness of proper trash disposal, create a clean and comfortable learning environment, and train them to create works out of inorganic waste. Seven female students from the Darul Huda Mayak Tonatan Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School came from class representatives to participate in this activity in July-August 2021. The method used is an asset-based community development (ABCD) approach by developing the ready-owned potential. The evaluation of this activity revealed that training in organic and inorganic waste management could improve students' understanding and skills in sorting organic and inorganic garbage and manufacturing handicrafts from inorganic waste. Thus, the service activities made the students more aware of environmental cleanliness and creatively utilized used goods in artworks.

Abstract

Children of the digital generation are a vulnerable group facing the potential dangers of the internet. Pornography exposure is one of the harmful effects of the internet on children. Parents play a critical role in ensuring their children's safety from cybercrime. This study aimed to explore the role of parents and the problems encountered in strengthening the concept of religious nafs of Al-Ghazali to prevent child pornography through digital parenting. Eight participants were involved in this study. This study was a descriptive qualitative study. The researcher gathered the data in this study through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model that included data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusions. The finding of the study revealed that (1) Parents' method of strengthening religious concept nafs Al-Ghazali for their children was through religious rituals such as praying five times a day, fasting, and religious engagement such as reading the holy Qur'an to prevent child pornography; (2) The role of parents in strengthening religious concept nafs included modeling, controlling, and building attachment; and (3) parental barriers to strengthening religious concept nafs were gadget addiction, parental burnout, and lack of self-disclosure.

Abstract

Pengajaran pendidikan agama Islam biasanya hanya melibatkan ceramah dan kurang memanfaatkan media pembelajaran, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi kurang efektif dan menarik bagi peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik di SMP Negeri 1 Balong kelas VIII A dengan mengimplementasikan media pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam berbasis video. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi non partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan, analisis data menggunakan interaktif yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, kondesasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.  Untuk pengujian keabsahan data, peneliti menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan video sebagai media pembelajaran meningkatkan antusiasme peserta didik dan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran pendidikan agama Islam. Selain itu, penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis video juga meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi guru dalam menyampaikan materi kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

Perkembangan berbicara merupakan kemampuan dasar pada anak yang perlu dilatih dengan memberikan stimulus melalui metode dan media yang menarik. Pelatihan mendongeng melalui pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara anak dan kepercayaan diri saat tampil di depan umum. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian adalah asset-based community development (ABCD). Pengabdian ini melibatkan sepuluh anak di dusun Nglongko, Desa Balerejo, Kecamatan Kebonsari, Kabupaten Madiun dari bulan Juli hingga Agustus 2021. Anak- anak sangat antusias dan semangat mengikuti pelatihan dari awal hingga akhir. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan mendongeng anak, terlihat dari kelancaran dan kefasihan anak saat berpartisipasi dalam lomba mendongeng. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini berdampak positif terhadap keterampilan berbicara dan rasa percaya diri anak-anak.

Abstract

Menggare Village in Slahung Ponorogo has considerable potential to develop trigona beekeeping because many plants, including acacia trees, a food source for these bees, still surround it. Therefore, the people in Menggare Village have promising opportunities in the Arizona beekeeping business. This trigona beekeeping training activity aimed to provide an understanding of trigona bees and their benefits and guidelines for cultivating trigona bees as a first step to doing business in this field. This training was held on Sunday, 23 July 2023, at the Menggare Village Hall, Slahung, Ponorogo, with 13 participants. The approach used in this activity is an asset-based community development (ABCD) approach, focusing on exploiting the potential that already exists in the community. The results of this training showed that some people are very enthusiastic about developing trigonal beekeeping. This success can be attributed to the high selling value and the ease of cultivating trigona bees. In addition, this dedication also positively impacts improving the quality of human resources and the local economy.

Abstract

The research aimed to discover methods and the factors that help and hinder the development of discipline and student accountability from developing character values of discipline and student accountability in the integrated social studies learning process at SMP Ma'arif 2 Ponorogo. This study employed a qualitative research method. Observation, interviews, and documentation were employed to obtain data for this study. The analysis technique employed in this study is interactive data analysis. The result of study showed that (1) the instillation of discipline-related character values is well implemented through a) lesson plans integrated with character education of discipline and responsibility, b) exemplary teacher, c) habituation. (2) The instillation of the character of student responsibility is going well, as evidenced by: a) lesson plan that is integrated with the character of responsibility; b) teacher's example; and c) habituation. (3) Environmental variables and teachers assist the instillation of student discipline characters. Still, student and parent awareness impede establishing discipline. (4) The school and the environment are supporting factors for instilling the character of student responsibility. In contrast, (a) teachers and (b) students' laziness are factors that impede the development of the character of student responsibility.

Abstract

This study focuses on the role of IPS teachers at MTsN 3 Wonogiri in enhancing student engagement by implementing the MIKiR Active Learning approach in integrated social studies (IPS) classes for eighth graders. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research involving the school principal, curriculum vice principal, two IPS teachers, and seven representatives of eighth-grade students as participants. The research results indicate that the role of teachers as facilitators includes providing learning tools and facilities and delivering materials with variation. As motivators, teachers maintain communication with students and provide rewards and punishments. As evaluators, teachers develop assessment tools, conduct assessments, and follow up on assessment results. The MIKiR Active Learning approach has been optimally applied, enabling students to actively participate in discussions, presentations, games, and question-answer sessions. Teachers also provide guidance and maintain communication to motivate students. Teachers develop various assessment tools in the evaluation process, conduct assessments, and follow up on the results. Thus, the role of teachers as facilitators, motivators, and evaluators through the MIKiR Active Learning approach positively impacts student engagement at MTsN 3 Wonogiri. Penelitian ini fokus pada peran guru IPS Terpadu di MTsN 3 Wonogiri dalam meningkatkan keaktifan siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran Aktif MIKiR pada pelajaran IPS Terpadu kelas VIII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, waka kurikulum, dua guru IPS, dan tujuh perwakilan siswa kelas VIII sebagai partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru sebagai fasilitator dalam menyediakan perangkat pembelajaran, fasilitas, serta menyampaikan materi dengan variasi. Sebagai motivator, guru menjaga komunikasi dengan siswa dan memberikan reward serta punishment. Sebagai evaluator, guru menyusun perangkat penilaian, melaksanakan penilaian, dan melakukan tindak lanjut hasil penilaian. Pendekatan pembelajaran Aktif MIKiR telah diterapkan secara optimal, memungkinkan siswa untuk aktif dalam diskusi, presentasi, permainan, dan tanya jawab. Guru juga memberikan bimbingan dan menjaga komunikasi untuk memotivasi siswa. Dalam evaluasi, guru menyusun berbagai perangkat penilaian dan melaksanakan penilaian, serta melakukan tindak lanjut. Dengan demikian, peran guru sebagai fasilitator, motivator, dan evaluator melalui pendekatan Aktif MIKiR memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan siswa di MTsN 3 Wonogiri.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine how microteaching is implemented to enhance the fundamental teaching skills of future Social Studies teachers. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, utilizing observation rubrics and performance assessment as data collection methods. The study's sample was 18 students enrolled in the Social Studies Teaching program. The results revealed increased scores on essential teaching skills during the second performance. The detailed evaluation covers questioning skills at 72.5, reinforcement skills at 71.7, variation skills at 73.1, explanation skills at 75.4, opening and closing lesson skills at 75.4, discussion and small group skills at 69.5, class management and discipline skills at 73, individual teaching skills at 75.7, and lesson plan preparation skills at 78.8. In summary, prospective Social Studies teachers have effectively developed their teaching skills. However, further guidance is essential, particularly in discussion and small group management.

Abstract

Abstract The development of students is critical to be improved through various training so that students like Islamic art in the form of calligraphy art and can preserve it, one of which is calligraphy training. The art of calligraphy can add to the aesthetics of the Qur'an because calligraphy is a reflection of the response to divine messages. The purpose of this community service was to improve the ability of students in the art of calligraphy. The approach used in this service is the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) method with students' assets at the Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School Mayak Ponorogo. The enthusiasm of the students was extraordinary. The calligraphy training participants were enthusiastic about participating in the training and producing contested and exhibited works. The evaluation results showed that the calligraphy skills of the participants had increased, and the participants continued to receive training and guidance after the exhibition. Abstrak Pengembangan santri sangat penting untuk ditingkatkan melalui berbagai pelatihan agar santri menyukai seni Islam berupa seni kaligrafi dan mampu melestarikannya salah satunya pelatihan kaligrafi. Seni kaligrafi mampu menambah estetika Al Qur’an karena kali grafi cerminan dari respon terhadap pesan pesan ilahi. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan santri di seni kaligrafi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) dengan aset santri di Pondok Pesantren Darul Huda Mayak Ponorogo. Antusias para santri sangat luar biasa. Para peserta pelatihan kaligrafi semangat mengikuti pelatihan dan menghasilkan karya yang dilombakan serta dipamerkan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukan kemampuan kaligrafi peserta meningkat dan peserta tetap mendapat pelatihan dan bimbingan pasca pameran kegiatan.
