Abstract

This study aims to analyze the allocation of village funds in supporting the development and empowerment of MSMEs through the establishment of BUMDes in Paya Tungel Village and identify the impact of allocating village funds through BUMDes on the development and empowerment of MSMEs in Paya Tungel Village. Paya Tungel Village, as a village in Central Aceh, has formed a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) in managing village funds with considerable potential for natural and human resources. BUMDes play an important role in improving the welfare of the local economy. By managing economic businesses based on local potential and resources, BUMDes create jobs, increase income, and reduce poverty rates in the village. By building a local-based economy, village communities become more economically independent. BUMDes can assist in developing local businesses, support farmers and small entrepreneurs, and take advantage of existing market opportunities to increase income and employment in the village. By focusing on local-based economic development, villages have a greater chance of achieving long-term economic sustainability. BUMDes can design programs that prioritize environmental protection and maintain a balance between economic growth and natural resource preservation.

Abstract

The banana chip home industry in Sengon Sari Village faces challenges in business development despite having been in operation for decades. This study aims to identify development strategies for the banana chip home industry using a pentahelix approach with an Islamic economic perspective on the business owned by Mrs. Warsina in Sengon Sari Village. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques involving interviews and observations of the five pentahelix stakeholders (academics, business operators, government, community, and media). Data analysis utilized the SOAR approach (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) to identify internal strengths and external opportunities. The research findings indicate that factors related to strengths and aspirations suggest a solid potential for development. The main strategies recommended include: developing an environmentally sustainable strategy, digital promotion, market access through e-commerce, sharia financial management training, and optimizing social media for transparent promotion. The implementation of these strategies aligns with the principles of Islamic economics, which emphasize justice, honesty, tawhid, and responsible leadership, thereby enhancing business competitiveness while benefiting the wider community.

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies in enhancing this product portfolio. Abstract

The empowerment program for Sipange Village aimed to enhance the local community's digital marketing and e-commerce skills to improve the economic value of their local products. This community service program was driven by the challenge of limited market access for the village's unique offerings, such as recycled metal crafts. The program utilized a participatory approach, involving needs assessments, intensive training, and post-training mentoring. Training sessions focused on introducing basic digital marketing concepts, creating and managing e-commerce accounts, and utilizing social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram for product promotion. The results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of digital marketing and their ability to create engaging marketing content. The participants successfully created e-commerce accounts and optimised product descriptions with high-quality visuals. In addition, local sales are expected to increase by 25% within three months, with some products reaching new markets in major cities such as Medan and Jakarta. Challenges faced, such as low digital literacy among older participants and unstable internet access, were overcome through personalised support and collaborative infrastructure development with local governments. The program also fostered collaboration among participants through peer-support networks and encouraged entrepreneurial mindsets, enabling the community to embrace innovation and competitiveness. The initiative aligns with national goals for rural digital transformation and sustainable development by promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth. With continued support, the Sipange Village model holds potential as a replicable framework for empowering other rural communities through technology-driven marketing strategies.
