Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease with a high prevalence throughout the world. Chronic hyperglycemia in DM increases the risk of complications in kidney function disorders, stroke, heart diseases, and retinopathy, which will impact to a high economic burden and decrease the quality of life in DM patients. Early detection of DM, optimal management by administering antidiabetic drugs and continuous self-management of blood sugar control will reduce the risk of DM complications. This activity was carried out with the aim of early detection of DM and to increase knowledge about DM, self-management, controlling hyperglycemia, and the risk of DM complications. Early detection screening for DM was carried out by measuring the respondent's blood sugar levels in the morning. Increasing knowledge about DM is carried out through training, counseling and interactive questions and answers with respondents. Screening for blood sugar levels found that 8 respondents (26.7%) suffered from DM. The distribution of body mass index (BMI), systolic, and diastolic blood pressure did not show significant differences between DM and non-DM respondents. Training and counseling about DM had the impact of increasing the level of respondent’s knowledge by 13.4% (83.3% vs 96.7%) so this training is expected to be useful in reducing the risk of complications for DM patients

Abstract

Libraries also make an important contribution to the disclosure of information about science which is at the heart of academic life, because with libraries we can obtain data or information that can be used as a basis for the development of science. School/Madrasah libraries are organizations that operate in the service sector. Its main function is to organize, process and disseminate information to readers. Therefore, information needs to be managed (organized). Information organization in the context of a school library, information is the entire collection (printed/electronic) owned by the school library. In library information (collection) organization activities, there are two important activities, namely descriptive cataloging (recognizing the physical collection) and subject indexing/subject analysis (recognizing the contents of the collection). The aim of this collection organization is so that the library's collections are well organized and easy to find again if needed by users and library managers.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology in healthcare has fostered the emergence of telemedicine powered by artificial intelligence (AI), particularly within medical practice. In Indonesia, however, this rapid development has not been matched by clear legal safeguards for either patients or medical professionals. The central issues concern the extent of patient protection and the allocation of liability when errors occur in AI-assisted telemedicine services. This study employs a normative juridical approach, supported by statutory analysis, conceptual inquiry, and comparative legal study. The findings reveal that Indonesia’s health regulations remain general in nature and do not specifically define liability boundaries in AI-based medical practice. The absence of a lex specialis and ambiguity regarding legal subjects create potential injustice. This article recommends establishing regulations grounded in precautionary principles, incorporating algorithmic safety, independent audits, and a shared liability framework among physicians, platform providers, and developers to ensure accountability and patient protection in digital healthcare.

Abstract

Abstract

Public Works Personnel (PWP) in Jakarta perform their routine duties manually instead of using equipment. Handgrip strength (HGS) measures maximum hand strength as a quality indicator for muscle strength and mass. Factors affecting muscle strength are age, sex, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), and hip circumference (HC). Increased fasting blood glucose (FBG) is also associated with muscle quality, muscle strength, and physical performance. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with handgrip strength in PWP. A total of 192 male PWP from the Cengkareng district were recruited by simple random sampling. The collected data were demographics, BMI, FBG, WC, HC, and HGS. Statistical analysis was done using Pearson’s correlation test and multiple regression analysis. There was a significant positive correlation of BMI, WC, and HC with HGS (p=0.006; r=0.20, p=0.009; r=0.19, and p=0.005; r=0.20) and a significant negative correlation between age and HGS (p=0.008; r=-0.19) but not between FBG and HGS (p=0.847). Multiple regression analysis showed height, BMI, and HC positively predicting HGS (R2=0.19). Handgrip strength of public works personnel is associated with BMI, age, waist circumference, and hip circumference, but not with fasting blood glucose. Height, BMI, and hip circumference predict handgrip strength.

Abstract

This research was conducted in a company that operates in the printing or graphics sector. The concept of quality control is the most critical part because newspapers or printed media are products with the fastest production process. PT carries out the quality control process. PT XYZ to lower the failed results on the paper. Quality control measurements use the P chart method. Results of quality control measurements at PT. XYZ is outside the control limits, and that is not normal, so corrective action is needed, especially the number of failed newspapers. On average, newspapers failed from January to May, reaching 8.24% of the total newspapers produced. Events that cause failure in newspapers are analyzed through risk management. Risk management measurements use the Risk Breakdown Structure (RBS) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methods. Risk management results show that five risks cause newspaper failure, namely scattered ink, slanted fonts, blurred images, dirty images, and thick fonts.
