Abstract

Sebagai negara dengan keanekaragaman etnik, agama, suku, dan bahasa yang tinggi, Indonesia telah lama menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola keberagaman. Pada satu sisi, keberagaman menjadi kekayaan dan kekuatan bagi bangsa Indonesia. Namun di sisi lain, keberagaman juga menyimpan potensi konflik antar golongan. Pengenalan nilai-nilai moderasi sejak dini diperlukan untuk mencegah dan menanggulangi permasalahan intoleransi ini. Masa sekolah dasar (SD) yang sering disebut sebagai periode puncak anak dalam belajar kepribadian, merupakan waktu yang tepat untuk memperkenalkan nilai-nilai moderasi kepada seorang anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan langkah-langkah yang dapat diterapkan guna menanamkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama pada anak sejak dini di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan mensintesiskan berbagai kajian kepustakaan terdahulu untuk mendapatkan informasi yang diperlukan dalam menjawab permasalahan yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam mewujudkan kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia yang moderat, toleran, adil, dan harmonis.

Abstract

This research aims to compare Carol Dweck's Growth Mindset Theory and Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory in the context of developing individual potential. The study utilizes literature review and comparative analysis as the research method to compare the two theories. In the pursuit of optimizing individual potential, the growth mindset emphasizes the importance of a developing mindset, viewing failures as opportunities for learning, and creating a supportive learning environment. On the other hand, multiple intelligences theory acknowledges the diversity of intelligences and advocates for the development of all types of intelligence in education. In inclusive modern education, the application of both theories can motivate students to grow and learn, develop self-confidence, and optimize their potential in various areas of intelligence. Through this approach, modern education can create a stimulating environment, facilitate holistic development, and produce individuals who are prepared to face future challenges. By understanding the differences and similarities between these two theories, education can adopt an inclusive approach that focuses on the full development of each individual's potential, ensuring that students are empowered to achieve academic success and optimal personal growth.

Abstract

Class size reduction (CSR) program is a policy that has been implemented in the world of education to improve the quality of teaching and learning. This research aims to provide a historical review of CSR and its positive impact on education. Through library research, this study collects information on the CSR concept, evaluates CSR programs that have been implemented in various countries, and analyzes the positive impacts of those programs, such as increased teacher attention, improved social interaction, higher academic achievement, better teacher job satisfaction, enhanced equity, fewer discipline problems, more time for instruction, more time for individualization, and more varied instructional learning strategy. However, there are also criticisms of CSR, such as the high cost and the lack of consistent empirical evidence regarding its impact on student academic achievement. This study concludes that CSR is a promising policy for improving the quality of education, but its implementation requires careful consideration and evaluation. The findings of this study can provide insights for policymakers and education practitioners in deciding to implement CSR in their schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the educational messages related to character education and environmental conservation in the film The Lion King (1994). Using a qualitative research design and content analysis, the film's narrative structure, dialogue, and visual elements were analyzed to identify key themes and sub-themes related to character education and environmental conservation. The results reveal that The Lion King contains important educational messages related to responsibility, leadership, respect for nature, and the interconnectedness of all living things. These findings highlight the potential of films as a tool for promoting positive values and education. The study's implications for education and media literacy are discussed, emphasizing the importance of incorporating media into educational curricula to enhance students' understanding of important concepts and foster critical thinking and analysis skills. Overall, this study shows that films, such as The Lion King, can be a valuable tool for promoting positive values and education, especially for character education and environmental conservation. The findings suggest that educators can use media content analysis as a means to identify and analyze the educational messages embedded in films, and incorporate these messages into educational curricula to enhance students' learning and development.

Abstract

This paper explores the views of John Dewey and E. D. Hirsch on determining quality educational goals, and compares the similarities and differences between their approaches. The main objective of this research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the two prominent educational theorists and their ideas on quality educational goals, and to examine how their approaches differ and overlap. To achieve this objective, the research methodology adopted in this study is a comparative analysis of the two thinkers' views on education. The study begins with a thorough review of the literature on the educational theories of Dewey and Hirsch, followed by a comparative analysis of their approaches. The comparative analysis includes an examination of their perspectives on curriculum development, experiential learning, cultural literacy, and knowledge-based education. The data collected from the literature review and comparative analysis is then synthesized to develop a comprehensive understanding of the similarities and differences between Dewey and Hirsch's approaches to determining quality educational goals. The findings of this research suggest that while Dewey and Hirsch's approaches differ in their emphasis on experiential learning versus cultural literacy, they share a common goal of providing a quality education that prepares students for active and engaged citizenship. Additionally, both Dewey and Hirsch emphasize the importance of effective curriculum development and individualized learning. Education policymakers and practitioners can draw on the insights provided by this research to develop a holistic approach to education that incorporates the strengths of both Dewey and Hirsch's perspectives.

Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of the economic perspectives of Muhammad Umer Chapra, an esteemed Islamic economist, and John Maynard Keynes, a renowned Western economist, concerning the concept of fiscal stimulus as an effective measure to address economic crises. By examining their viewpoints, the article explores the divergent approaches and underlying principles in implementing fiscal stimulus policies. Chapra's perspective highlights the importance of ethics, justice, and social welfare in economic decision-making, emphasizing the compatibility of fiscal stimulus with Islamic economic principles. In contrast, Keynesian economics, as advocated by Keynes, emphasizes the role of government intervention and the use of fiscal policies to stimulate aggregate demand and overcome economic downturns. The article critically analyzes the similarities, differences, and potential areas of convergence between these two prominent economists, shedding light on the implications and effectiveness of fiscal stimulus measures in various economic contexts. By understanding and comparing these perspectives, policymakers and economists can gain valuable insights into crafting comprehensive and context-specific approaches to address economic crises and promote sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Pada era modern ini, perpustakaan bukan lagi hanya tempat untuk meminjam dan membaca buku, tetapi juga merupakan pusat komunitas yang berfungsi sebagai ruang untuk belajar, berdiskusi, dan berinovasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi program inklusi sosial di Perpustakaan Wigati Desa Glinggang sebagai sarana untuk mempromosikan literasi moderasi beragama dan memperkuat kerukunan sosial di masyarakat. Program-program ini meliputi kegiatan-kegiatan seperti "Baca Sama-sama", lokakarya literasi, dan pameran buku yang menampilkan keberagaman agama dan budaya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam dengan pengelola perpustakaan, partisipan program, dan pemangku kepentingan terkait. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa program inklusi sosial telah berhasil menciptakan lingkungan inklusif yang mendukung dialog antaragama dan antarbudaya, meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti tantangan dalam mengatasi prasangka dan stereotip, ketersediaan tenaga ahli dan relawan, kesadaran penuh masyarakat, dan kesulitan dalam mempertahankan keterlibatan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ini memberikan dampak positif termasuk peningkatan pemahaman antaragama, penguatan jaringan sosial, dan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan literasi. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya di masa depan, disarankan agar pemerintah daerah meningkatkan pendanaan untuk perpustakaan, melanjutkan edukasi dan pelatihan masyarakat tentang literasi moderasi beragama, dan memperkuat kolaborasi antar stakeholder. Dengan langkah-langkah ini, program inklusi sosial di Perpustakaan Wigati Desa Glinggang dapat terus menjadi model berkelanjutan dalam mendukung literasi moderasi beragama dan mempromosikan inklusi sosial di masyarakat.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of digital technology in halal certification in the digital era. The research aims to understand the impact of digital technology on halal certification and its global implications. The research method used is literature analysis, which helps researchers formulate a comprehensive understanding of this topic. In the literature analysis, researchers explore the history of halal certification, the development of digital technology in the context of halal certification, and its impact on transparency and accessibility. Additionally, researchers also consider the challenges and ethical considerations that arise with the use of digital technology in halal certification. The article also discusses the role of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and blockchain technology in enhancing halal certification. IoT enables real-time monitoring in the supply chain, while AI supports in-depth data analysis. Blockchain technology provides integrity and transparency in certification. Mobile applications also create greater accessibility for consumers to check the halal status of products. The research findings indicate that digital halal certification has a significant global impact, not only meeting the needs of Muslim consumers but also gaining recognition from non-Muslim communities. Despite challenges such as data security and ethical considerations, the use of digital technology in halal certification opens the door to the growth of a more inclusive, transparent, and halal-compliant food and beverage industry.

Abstract

MTs Al-Islam Joresan applies a strong commitment to improving student character through a discipline that is implemented in various forms of programs and activities both inside and outside the classroom. This study aims to determine the efforts made by educational institutions and teachers at MTs Al-Islam Joresan in guiding student discipline and how it impacts the formation of student character. This study uses a qualitative research approach with data analysis techniques which include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the data analysis will be used to answer the problems raised in the research. The results of the study show that the implementation of discipline carried out at MTs Al-Islam Joresan can be divided into two categories, namely discipline in the classroom and discipline outside the classroom. In addition to supporting the character development of its students, MTs Al-Islam Joresan also organizes outreach programs in the form of class and non-class programs, organizes various extracurricular programs that can support student character development, and encourages students to actively participate in religious and social activities both at school as well as in the community.
