Abstract

Pemanasan global merupakan permasalahan lingkungan yang semakin meningkat dan memerlukan pemahaman yang mendalam oleh peserta didik.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-magazine berbasis Problem-Based Learning (PBL) sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi dampak pemanasan global di MAN 2 Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli, angket respon siswa, serta tes pemahaman konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-magazine berbasis PBL yang dikembangkan mendapatkan kategori sangat valid dari ahli materi dan ahli media dengan skor rata-rata 89,5%. Respon siswa terhadap e-magazine menunjukkan tingkat keterbacaan dan ketertarikan yang tinggi dengan persentase 86,7%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-magazine berbasis PBL ini layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap dampak pemanasan global. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis digital yang mendukung pembelajaran aktif dan kontekstual di sekolah.

Abstract

This community ervice activity was carried out at Guang Ming Kindergarten, Jambi with the aim of increasing the creativity of early childhood education (ECE) teachers in developing early childhood learning by utilizing loose part media. The problems faced by partners are the need for understanding and practicing ECE learning activities due to the background of non-EEeducators and the creativity of teachers that needs to be improved. The implementation method uses lectures, questions and answers and training practices. The results of the activity showed an increase in teachers' abilities in compiling learning that is in accordance with the level of achievement of early childhood development and an increase in teacher creativity in compiling learning according to concrete and fun principles. Based on the evaluation results, teacher creativity assessed from four indicators (flexibility, originality, elaboration and fluency) increased by 80%. Furthermore, support for training opportunities and joint discussions to improve the creativity of ECE teachers must continue to be provided.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) tools integrated with STEM and local content—specifically the cultural practice of Jambi coffee brewing—in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in the physics topic of temperature and heat. The research employed a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design. The participants were 11th-grade students from SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi in the 2024/2025 academic year, selected through purposive sampling. A total of 54 students participated, divided evenly into two classes: the experimental class, which was taught using STEM-integrated PjBL tools incorporating local content, and the control class, which was taught using conventional PjBL tools without STEM or local context integration. Both groups underwent pretest and posttest assessments. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests with a significance level of 0.05. The paired t-test results indicated a statistically significant improvement in both classes (p = 0.000). However, the independent sample t-test revealed a significant difference in posttest scores between the two groups (p = 0.011), with the experimental class showing greater gains. These results suggest that the integration of STEM and local cultural context into PjBL can deepen students’ conceptual understanding, enhance engagement, and improve learning outcomes more effectively than PjBL alone. The contextualization of physics content using familiar real-world practices, such as coffee brewing, provides meaningful learning experiences that connect abstract scientific concepts to students' daily lives.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat telah membawa dampak signifikan di berbagai sektor, termasuk pendidikan. Salah satu bentuk inovasi dalam pembelajaran adalah penggunaan media interaktif, seperti Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) interaktif melalui platform Liveworksheet. Namun, banyak guru mengalami kendala dalam membuat media interaktif karena keterbatasan pengetahuan teknis, akses perangkat lunak, serta waktu. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, tim pengabdian dari Universitas Jambi menyelenggarakan pelatihan pembuatan LKPD IPA interaktif untuk guru SD Negeri 236/IX Aur Duri. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran melalui Liveworksheet. Kegiatan pelatihan terdiri dari pengenalan platform, uji coba LKPD yang telah disediakan, praktik merancang LKPD interaktif, serta pengisian angket respon peserta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap penggunaan media interaktif dan motivasi untuk menerapkannya dalam pembelajaran. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat membantu guru menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan efektif bagi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementing STEM-integrated Problem-Based Learning (PBL) instructional tools based on local wisdom (Gasingan) in improving students' creative thinking skills on the topic of rotational dynamics at SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group, involving an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class received STEM-integrated PBL learning, while the control class was taught using conventional methods. Both groups were given pretests and posttests to measure students’ creative thinking skills. Data were analyzed using SPSS and manual calculations via Microsoft Excel. The results showed a significant increase in students’ creative thinking skills in the experimental class, as indicated by the Paired Sample T-test with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The improvement was greater than in the control class, suggesting that the use of STEM-integrated PBL tools enriched with local wisdom positively impacted students' engagement and cognitive development in learning physics, particularly in understanding rotational dynamics concepts.

Abstract

Limited face-to-face learning requires teachers to have alternative solutions in packaging the delivery of learning materials more interestingly and not making students feel bored. Teachers have difficulty in creating learning media that is suitable for students so that students who take part in learning activities are less enthusiastic. Efforts that can be made to overcome this problem can be done by upgrading the use of wondershare as an attractive, effective, and efficient learning medium. The purpose of this upgrading activity is to maximize the quality of learning in the classroom. The upgrading participants were science teachers in Sungaipuh and the place where the community service was held at SMP Negeri 1 Sungaipuh, Kerinci. After participating in upgrading activities, teachers can innovate in developing alternative learning media by making attractive learning videos. The positive effect of this activity is that learning can be carried out in a more interesting and less boring way.

Abstract

Based on observation sheets and interviews with Jambi University physics education students, it is known that there is no teaching material that can provide an overview to students about making Internet of Things (IoT) projects with NodeMCU ESP32 so that students still find it difficult in making Internet of Things (IoT) material projects with NodeMCU ESP32. This study aims to develop a project-based electronics module (Project Based Learning) on Internet of Things (IoT) material with NodeMCU ESP3. The method used is research (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model, including the analysis, design, and development stages. Module validation data is collected through a questionnaire sheet filled in by material validation and media validation. The results of material validation show that the module has a feasibility of 92% with a very feasible category, while the results of media validation show a feasibility of 90.16% with a very feasible category. Module trials were conducted on 27 Jambi University Physics Education students, which showed student perceptions of the module of 83.03% in the very good category. Based on these results, this module is considered feasible and effective as an alternative teaching material in learning electronics, especially on Internet of Things (IoT) material with NodeMCU ESP3 in university.

Abstract

Education and learning globally has undergone a change from an era focused on direct learning to blended learning. The pandemic has also contributed to the pattern of learning that was originally online and then directed to return to semi-online offline learning. online. This learning adaptation phenomenon is also felt in the learning process of high school teachers in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi Province. East Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province. Teachers have their own challenges to design learning activities that learning activities that can restore learners' interest and attention when attending face-to-face classes. Based on these conditions, a service activity was carried out that focused on training on the use of Flip PDF as a teaching material maker application and equipped with the use of mentimeter.com as one of the options for making interactive presentation media in learning. making interactive presentation media in learning. This training conducted at SMA N 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Teachers are given training on the use of Flip PDF as an electronic teaching material in learning in the first session. Teachers also gained experience in creating interactive presentation media through the site mentimeter.com. After participating in the activities, teachers have additional skills related to making teaching materials and interactive presentation media and interactive presentation media during the learning process. Training in the use of Flip PDF and Mentimeter can be an important step in improving the quality of learning in improving the quality of learning in the digital era. This approach gives educators a powerful tool to create a more interactive and engaging learning experiences that are more interactive and engaging. Thus, efforts to improvequality of education can be continuously improved through the effective use of technology.
