Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is importance of teaching materials that inroduced regional culture in learning process as an effort to preserve culture. This research aims to produce a design of mathematics teaching materials that introduce regional culture to students by introducing the Riau Malay Batik Motive. This research is the beginning part of the development of mathematics teaching by using the ADDIE model that consists of Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation. Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes class V learners of SD Negeri 65 Petani by applying cooperative learning model STAD . The subjects were learners in class V which consisted of 12 women and 12 men with heterogeneous academic ability. This research is a class act with two cycles . Each cycle has four stage : planning , implementation , observation and reflection . Data collection instrument in this study is the observation sheet activities teachers and learners , as well as the achievement test. Sheets were analyzed qualitatively descriptive narrative, while the achievement test were analyzed by descriptive statistical study by analyzing the development of the individual and group values ​​, KKM achievement analysis , and analysis of the success of the action. Results of research on the observation sheet shows the activity of teachers and learners have done well and according to plan after the action . Improvements in the learning process of students and increase the number of learners who achieve KKM at the end of each cycle UH compared to the number of learners who achieve a score of KKM on base score. At the base score only 25% of learners who reach KKM , the UH I increased to 62.5% and the UH II also increased to 79.2% . The results of this study indicate that the application of cooperative learning model STAD can improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes class V learners of SD Negeri 65 Petani in the second semester of the academic year 2013/2014 . Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the result of learning mathematics of VII3 students of SMP Negeri 16 Sijunjung which is still under the KKM with percentage 54,17% on subject matter of integer and fractional number. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning achievement by applying cooperative learning model with structural NHT approach. This type of research is a classroom action research with two cycles. The subject of this research is the students of class VII3 of SMP Negeri 16 Sijunjung first semester of academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 24 students with heterogeneous academic level. The data was collected by doing observation of teachers and students activities and formative test. The results showed that there was a better improvement in the learning process from cycle I to cycle II. This is seen in students who have participated actively and work together in the learning process. In addition, the number of students who achieved KKM on the basic score, formative test I (first cycle), formative test II (second cycle) were 54.17%, 62.60%, and 79.71%, respectively. The percentage of achievement of this KKM also shows improvement from before action to after action so that it can be said that student learning achievement also increase. The results of this research indicate that cooperative learning model with structural NHT approach can improve the learning process and improve the learning achievement of mathematics students VII3 SMP Negeri 16 Sijunjung first semester of the academic year 2017/2018.Key Words: Math Learning Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model With Structural Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Approach, Clasroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was classroom action research with two cycles. The purpose of this research was to improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning result at class VII A4 at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru through the implentation cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) especially on social arithmetic topic. The research instruments were learning devices which were syllabus, lesson plan (RPP), and student woksheet (LKS) and the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and students’ mathematics test. The subject of this research was the students at class VII A4 at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru which consisting of 24 girls with heterogeneous ability. Based on the analyzed of students and teacher activity after implemented the cooperative learning type TSTS, it can be concluded that there was an improvement of learning process at each cycles. Students’ participation was more active and become more independent through the learning process. The analyzed of students’ mathematics learning result data shows that there was an improvement of students’ mathematic learning result in second cycle. There were 16,67% students that reach KKM in UH I, and its improved in UH II which 54,17% students who reach KKM. Based on the result above, it could be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning type TSTS can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning result at class VII A4 at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru.Key Word: mathematics learning result, cooperative learning, two stay two stray, classroom action research

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Think-Talk-Write Strategy in Cooperative Learning. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class VII4 SMPN 3Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year with the subject of as many as 38 students, consist of 21 boys and 17 girls. The research instrument consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used in this research is the Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Worksheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is the observation sheet and math achievement test. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the result of the research showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily test II. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic scor, daily test I and daily test II are respectively 13 person (34,2%), 16 person (42,1%) and 28 person (73,68%). Results of this research indicates that application of the Think-Talk-Write Strategy in Cooperative Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the students at class VII4 SMPN 3Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2015/2016 at Basic Competencies 6.2 Identify the properties of a rectangle, square, trapezoid, parallelogram, rhombus and kite and Basic Competencies 6.3 Calculate the circumference and area woke triangles and squares as well as use them in problem solving.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Think-Talk-Write Strategy, Learning Process, student’s mathematics learning outcomes, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the lack of student’s textbook that introduced regional resources to students in accordance with the demands of 2013 curriculum.This research purposed is to develop student’s textbook in the form of books that introduce regional resources to students by introducing traditional games of Riau malay. This research is a research and development (R&D) that using 4-D model which consists of 4 stages define, design, develop and dissemination, but in this research is only carried out until the development stage . The instrument used in this research is a validation sheet to assess the validity of textbook. Based on the results of validation data analysis the average rating for the textbook is 3.57 with a very valid category. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion it can be concluded that mathematic student’s textbook developed that using the traditional games of Riau malay on rectangular and triangular has fulfilled valid criteria.Keywords: Mathematics Learning, Mathematic Student’s Textbook, Riau Malay Traditional Games, 4-D Development Model

Abstract

AbstractThe research was classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes with applied the cooperative learning pair check structural approach. The subject of the research is students of class VIII-9 SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2013/2014. There are 32 students in the class, consist of 13 boys and 19 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. The research are two cycles, each a cycle has four stages, that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle of daily tests carried out. Data collected through observation and tests in the form of daily tests. Data analysis was performed with analysis of descriptive narrative and descriptive statistical analysis. The action is successful if the number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria increase in daily tests I and II. The number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria on basic, daily test I (first cycle) and daily test II (second cycle) are respectively 40.63%, 68.75%, dan 87.5%. Minimum mastery criteria attainment percentage indicates that the cooperative learning cooperative learning pair check structural approach can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes math class VIII-9 SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru.Key words: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Pair Check, Class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to develop a valid computer based learning media to help students to understand the topic of area and volume of revolution. This research uses development model by Sugiyono, the following stages are: (1) potential and problem; (2) collect information; (3) product design; (4) design validation; (5) design revision; (6) product testing; (7) product revision; (8) usage testing; and (9) product revision. At the stage of potential and problem, the researcher created a needs analysis of observation and interviews with Mathematics teacher. Then, researcher collected the informations by conducting literature studies. Product design is through two stages, that are making paper based design and then computer based that used microsoft power point program. The learning media is validated by three validators used validation sheet and obtained an average score of 3,76 (very valid). Then revised based on the input from validators. The revised learning media was tested by questionnaire technique using student response questionnaire. The testing was conducted through two stages towards the students of class XI MIPA 2 SMA N Binaan Khusus Dumai. The first stage is a product testing of 6 students. Further revision of the product according to the student's suggestion on product testing. The second stage is the usage testing of 25 students and obtained an average score of 3.58 (very practice). Then revised the product according to the student's suggestion on usage testing. Thus, can be concluded that computer based learning media is valid and qualified practicalities.Key Words: Computer Based Learning Media, Development, Area and Volume of Revolution

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to develop mathematics learning device with problem based learning’s model of fraction number for 7th grade SMP/MTs. Learning device in this study are lesson plans and activity student sheet. Lesson plans and activity student sheet are developed to structured in accordance with the steps of the scientific approach that is observing, questioning, reasoning, trying, and communicating. This study method used is 4D model that consist of define, design, development, and disseminat. Because of time and cost, the study was only to development step. Based on the data analysis of mathematics learning devices is very valid with mean validity of lesson plans is 3,85, and mean validity of student activity sheet is 3,73. This student activity sheet has also reached the practical qualification with mean percentage of student responses is 100% on a small test group. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the product of lesson plans and activity student sheet the mathematic based on the curriculum of 2013 on the fractional material to SMP/MTs with the use of the problem based learning’s model is very valid and practice.Keywords: Fraction Number, Mathematics Learning Device, Problem Based Learning, Research and Development.

Abstract

The revision oflearning media was tested by questionnaire technique using student responsequestionnaire. The testing was conducted through two stages,which are small groupconsist of six students of grade VII and a large group consist of 28 students class ofVII.6 MTs Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The product of computer-based interactive learningmedia is already practiced with an average of 96,03% (very practice)in a small testgroup and 97,62% (very practice) in the large group test. Then the product revisedaccording to the student's suggestion on questionnaire.
