Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase student mathematics achievement with applied the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research was student of class X.1 Farmasi SMK Kesehatan Pro-Skill Indonesia Pekanbaru in second academic years 2017/2018, which are 30 students, consist of four boys and 26 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research is observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets was analyzed by narrative descriptive analysis technique, and the students mathematic tests was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis technique. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to UH-I and UH-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (26,67%) to the first UH-I (56,67%) to the UH-II (93,33%) thus it can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning model can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class X.I Farmasi SMK Kesehatan Pro-Skill Indonesia Pekanbaru in second academic years 2017/2018 for the linear program.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research was conducted in SMP 23 pekanbaru , in the first half of the school year 2012/2013 . Subjects were students of class VIII H totaling 40 people , comprising 20 boys and 20 girls who have the academic ability heterogeneous . The purpose of this research is to improve the students achievement., By implementing cooperative learning techniques TSTS . This research is a class act consisting of two cycles , each cycle consisting of four stages: planning , action , observation , and reflection . The data collected in this study is the activity data of teachers and learners during the learning and mathematics achievement data . Data activity of teachers and learners obtained from teacher observation sheets and sheets of observations of learners , while achievement data obtained from the test results of learners , the data were analyzed descriptively . The results of the data analysis and teacher activity suggests that the activity of teachers and learners increasingly according to the lesson plan , it is marked by the teacher to reflect on the learning process that has been done so that the improvement of the deficiencies that have been found . Analysis of students achievment increases , it can be seen from KKM achievement of learners achieved , in the first cycle of students who achieve KKM is 45 % and the silus II increased to 77.5 % of this data concluded that an increase due to the students achievement, KKM before action is only 27.5 % . Based on these results , the use of cooperative learning techniques TSTS can improve students achievement in class VIII H SMP N 23 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS),students achievement

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the restrict of mathematic learning instruments as supporting learning referring to Curriculum 2013. This study aimed to develop mathematics learning instruments with guided discovery model on circle’s topic for 8th grade SMP/MTs. Learning instruments which will be developed in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet. This study method used is ADDIE model by Dick and Carey that consist of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Test instruments that used in this study are validation instrument that is validation sheets to evaluate the advisability of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet and then practicality instrument that is questionnaire which will be filled up by students to evaluate practicality of student worksheet. Learning instruments that has been developed is being validated by three validators and being tested in a small test group consist of five on June 9th–10th, 2016 in SMPN 1 Pekanbaru for student worksheet. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that mathematics learning instruments is very valid with mean score of syllabus is 4,49, for lesson plans is 4,31, and for student worksheet is 4,22. This student worksheet also valued as very practical with mean percentage of student responses is 4,87 with 97%.Key Word: Mathematics Learning Instrument, Guided Discovery Model, Research andDevelopment, ADDIE Model

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to improve the learning process and improve the student’s Mathematical Problem Solving Skill (MPSS) by applied Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study was Classroom Action Research with two cycles. This research conducted of class VIIIA2 MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru on first semester of academic year 2018/2019 wich consists of 28 female students with heterogeneous academic. The instruments used in this research were learning instruments and the instruments of collecting data. The learning instruments used include syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheets, while the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and MPSS test. After analysis of implementing the PBL model on students and teacher activity, the implementation of PBL mades students who are initially lazy and don’t want to try solving the problem became more interested in learning because the problem presented were related to daily life. The MPSS test data of analyzed students’ activity shows an improvement. In first test, three students were in low qualification and 25 students were in very low qualification. In first cycle the number of students in both qualifications decreased to 1 and 2 students respectively. In second cycle there are no more students who were in low qualification and very low qualification. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of PBL can improve learning process and student’s MPSS at class VIIIA2 MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru.Key Words: problem based learning, mathematical problem solving skill, learning process

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on mathematics learning achievement on Matrix topic of students XI IPS 1 MAN Insan Cendekia Siak which shows that 12 of 23 students still have scores which stand under Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) that has been settled by the school that is 76. This research aims to improve learning process and students’ mathematics learning achievement by applying Discovery Learning (DL) model. The type of this research is classroom action research with two cycles. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments and data collecting instruments. The mathematical learning instruments are syllabus, lesson plans, and students worksheet. The data collecting instruments are observation sheets and students mathematic tests. Analysis techniques that used are descriptive narrative on qualitative data and descriptive statistics on quantitative data. Subject of this research are students of XI IPS 1 MAN Insan Cendekia Siak in first semester of academic year 2018/2019, which consist of 9 males and 14 females with heterogeneous abilities. Based on the analysis of students and teacher activities after implementation of the DL model, it can be concluded that there is an improvement of learning process. On knowledge competence, in first cycle with percentage 87% and 96% in second cycle. On skill competence, the number of students who can reach MMC in first cycle with percentage 78,3% and 82,6% in second cycle. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of DL model can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning outcomes at class XI IPS 1 MAN Insan Cendekia Siak .Key Words: Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning Model,Classroom Action Research

Abstract

The spread of the Coronavirus has resulted in lecture activities that are usually carried out face-to-face to be carried out online. Therefore, students' perceptions of online lectures need to be known. The purpose of this study is to explain the perceptions of Mathematics Education student of Universitas Riau towards the implementation of online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The data obtained from students was the perception score of students. The results obtained indicated that the implementation of online lectures had received a positive response, which was in the medium, high, and very high category. Judging from the indicators used in each aspect studied, then: 1) in the aspect of students' perceptions of themselves during online lectures, 3 indicators were in the sufficient category and 1 indicator was in the less indicator; 2) on the aspect of perception regarding the ideal online learning process, 1 indicator was in the very good category, 1 indicator was in a good category, and 2 indicators were in the sufficient category; 3) on the aspect of perception related to online learning that occurs, 2 indicators were in the sufficient category and 2 indicators were in the very poor category.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the description of students’ self-regulation of Mathematics Education FKIP at the Universitas Riau during the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects in this study were 121 students of Mathematics Education, FKIP, Universitas Riau. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The data obtained from students was the score of self-regulation of Mathematics Education students, FKIP, Universitas Riau during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research that was conducted showed that the students' self-regulation were at a moderate level as many as 21 people (17.36%), at a high level as many as 80 people (66.12%), and at a very high level as many as 20 people (16.53%). Meanwhile, the achievement of students' self-regulation for each indicator consisted of a goal-setting indicator of 85.74% with a good category, an indicator of environment structuring of 80.48% in a good category, an indicator of task strategies of 73.17% in a fair category, an indicator of time management is 63.22%% in a fair category, an indicator of seeking help is 73.76% in a fair category, and self-evaluation indicator is 87.6% in a very good category. Based on the self-regulation category of each student and the percentage of self-regulation achievement for each indicator, it can be said that the students of Mathematics Education FKIP Universitas Riau were able to adapt while taking online classes during the Covid-19 pandemic by having good self-regulation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih terbatasnya perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013,  khususnya penggunaan dan penerapan model serta pendekatan pembelajaran. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berupa silabus, RPP, dan LAS model Problem Based Learning berkonteks alat musik tradisional Melayu Riau pada materi lingkaran untuk siswa kelas VIII SMP/MTs yang valid. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi perangkat pembelajaran. Perangkat pembelajaran divalidasi oleh tiga orang validator. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan dikategorikan sangat valid. Perangkat pembelajaran ini layak digunakan untuk materi lingkaran. Namun, masih perlu diujikan tingkat kepraktisan dan keefektivannya

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini memiliki tujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen penilaian berupa soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) berkonteks budaya Melayu Riau berbentuk uraian pada materi segiempat dan segitiga kelas VII yang valid, reliabel dan memiliki taraf kesukaran serta daya pembeda yang baik.  Model pengembangan pada penelitian ini adalah development studies yang terdiri dati tahap pleminary dan formative evaluation. Tahap formatif evaluation mengadopsi tahapan oleh Tessmer yang terdiri dari kegiatan expert review, one-to-one, small group dan field test. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif yang mendeskripsikn setiap pengolahan data yang terkumpul. Adapun instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, angket atau kuesioner respon siswa/i dan tes soal HOTS berkonteks budaya Melayu Riau. Subjek penelitian pada pengembangan ini adalah 33 siswa/i/i kelas VII SMPN 4 Pekanbaru. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan memvalidasi soal HOTS berkonteks budaya Melayu Riau kepada tiga orang validator dan uji coba soal HOTS kepada subjek penelitian pada tahap field test. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan skor rata-rata validator soal HOTS berkonteks budaya Melayu Riau untuk aspek isi, konstruksi dan bahasa adalah 80,55%, untuk validitas butir soal diperoleh 20 soal valid dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,94 pada kategori sangat tinggi, sedangkan taraf kesukaran diperoleh 4 soal dengan taraf kesukaran sedang dan 6 soal dengan taraf kesukran sukar, dan daya pembeda dengan 9 soal pada kategori cukup dan 11 soal pada kategori baik

Abstract

Penalaran matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan matematis yang perlu dan penting dimiliki oleh mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika. Penalaran matematis merupakan proses berpikir matematik dalam memperoleh kesimpulan matematis berdasarkan fakta-fakta, konsep dan metode yang relevan. Dilain pihak, fakta menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UNRI belum terlalu baik atau dapat dikatakan rendah terutama pada matakuliah Masalah Nilai Awal dan Syarat Batas (MNASB). Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh fakta rendahnya capaian hasil belajar mahasiswa pada matakuliah tersebut dalam tiga tahun terakhir. Kemudian, berhubung dengan wabah COVID-19 yang terjadi saat ini termasuk di Pekanbaru, Riau yang memaksa institusi-institusi pendidikan tatap muka untuk bertransformasi menjadi institusi pendidikan jarak jauh dengan sistim pembelajaran secara daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan tipe development studies dengan dua tahapan yaitu tahapan preliminary evaluation dan formative evaluation. Tujuan akhir penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan produk berupa E-Modul berbasis pendekatan experiential learning yang potensial untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-Modul yang dikembangkan sudah memenuhi apek validitas dan praktikalitas serta potensial untuk mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran matematis mahasiswa. E-Modul yang dikembangkan ini diharapkan sebagai contoh dan pedoman oleh dosen, mahasiswa dan institusi pendidikan tinggi dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran matematika yang berorientasi kemampuan penalaran matematis sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum. Bentuk soal pada E-Modul matakuliah MNASB yang diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran berupa soal-soal non rutin sehingga dapat mengasah kemampuan penalaran matematis mahasiswa.
